Hey Guys...

So, I started watching Vampire Diaries for the first time yesterday and I am already in the 21st episode of Season 1....and OMG!! These salvatore brothers would kill me, rip me apart and I wouldnt even shriek, because I am already under their spell, totally compelled! 😉😆😆

Stefan - Its so easy to love him, and on the other side, Its so difficult to resist Damon! By 6th episode, I was rooting for Stefan and Elena and I wondered why everyone kept on about Damon and I wanted to hate him, I wanted to love to hate him, but I think this is what Elena also goes through, she thinks she hates him because of who he is but give it to that man, You just cant hate him, no matter how much dangerous he is to the human race,no matter how ruthless he can be to human life...As Rick told Damon in one of the episodes that Damon hasnt switched off his emotional switch, no matter how much he pretends he has, but Damon persists that he is still a "bad a*s".

Love him or Hate him but you just can't ignore him.

But the CVs are smart! By end of the Season 1, I am now confused about my feelings, I dont know where to roll my heart, Damon or Stefan...I was so sure about Stefan, even if there was a detesting compulsion towards Damon, I wanted Elena for Stefan for all the humantiy sake but I dont know anymore...I just finished watching Isobela and when she tells Elena that Damon loves her, OMG! Killed me...The way he touches Elena's hand when he hands over the compass to her, was heart wrenching!!!.....

So, I still don't know which Direction did the Stefan-Elena-Damon LS move to in Season 2 but I hate me fighting and trying to choose between two salvatores and yet, TVD is "compelling"!!

hun welcome!!!!

lol i understandur plight...but i reckon for me it was the other way round....i was totally attracted to damon's bada** side in the beginning...n slowly grew to love stefan too....although i love seeing stefan-elena together....it crushes my heart 2 see damon in such pain at times! i dont wanna reveal too much of season 2 cuz i dnt wanna spoil it for u...but its awesome!!!

So, I finished watching all the episodes of Season 2 and oh boy! Okie....Now,I can say,My heart has rolled over to Damon completely....Every cell of my heart says, It is Damon but the humanity in me says it should be Stefan,......and who can stop the heart? 😆😆

Exactly, as you said.....Damon's cracks are more visible in Season 2 and it crushes my heart too to see himin pain and for everyone to see! In Season 2, He is trying more hard to b a bad a*s but now, everyone knows its a mocking way to hide his true love....Katherine says it right, that there is a fine line between hatred and love....Damon is trying to hide his feelings behind his ruthless attitude and even though, he is in pain, he just cannot turn of his emotional switch!...Rose asks him to but he still doesnt...Now, even an outsider can see his feelings for Elena and I hate it when people misuse it like Elena herself...The whole trip that Rick, Damon and Elena plan to investigate in Isobel's lab, Elena uses him and she has no regret....He takes the shot for her, he even listens to her - "I will never speak to you again" emotional blackmail...and all she can say in the next episode is that she wanted the truth and for that she had to do it....Blah!!!!

Love brings pain but the pain also seems sweet...a sweter option than being inhuman and feelingless!!

BTW, By now, I have a feeling that Elena will always love Stefan...It would always be Stefan....Katherine kinda gave me that clue....Damon would always remain the other guy and that I believe is the crux of the story because that moves the story forward

lol totally understand the confusion of who u like more-damon or stephen...for me its damon slightly more than stephen!

its one of those rare love triangles where u can decide which pair to like more coz both are so gd in their own way....

season two sees a side of damon that was only slightly highlighted in season 1-the gd side...it was heart wrenching to see his confession to elena...but i miss the bad a*s side of him...

cant wait for the next epi!!

Hey Shona....

Thnaks Hun!....I finished all the episodes till Katerina and as I was telling Rach too...The side of Damon, that was brought in the surface in Season 2, bowled me and definitely rolled my heart towards him...Now that I dont sympathize with Stefan as in true sense, he deserves Elena more for being a good Vampire but Damon is just intense!!...He has a diff way of proving his love or displaying it...In Season 2, his feelings ahve been bared for everyone to see and unfortunately exploit...Including Elena...I felt his pain when He tells Elena that not only does her face resembled like Katherine but she was a lot like her in other aspects too....He nevere expected Elena to use him and then not even regret and although hurt by her act, he still cant help but help her, be there for her....She even blackmails him and says that if he kills Isobel's student, she wouldnt ever talk to him, although she was sure she didnt wanna be friends with him...Poor guy....Love really increases your patience and tolerance multifolds and thats what Damon is doing...He tolerates his feelings for her day in-day out especially when she had literally moved to his house and was spending nights with his brother!!...Some controlling powr I say....

But yes, Till yesterday I thought Damon would never be with Elena because of sheer justice to Stefan's character + what Katherine confessed about her feelings for Stefan....Damon might have gals falling all over him, he might be more appealing and Hot but Stefan takes the meat as he gets the love, love of two important people that meant a lot to Damon too - Katherine and Elena....

And thats when Damon feels he has lost and failed always!!!...The way he breaks the glass and attacks Katherine, after she confesses her love for Stefan, was one such evidence...The fighting with self, expression that he gets when he sees Stefan and Elena kissing, is also an evidence....

But I read somewhere that CVs will eventually get Damon and Elena together...might not be this season but then would make us walk thru their journey of rising and falling emotions and then the final D-Day! and that reminds me Stefan's insecurity when Elena tries reassuring him that she just cares for Damon but she loves Stefan....And Stefan just keeps nodding, a doubt in his mind that he knows eventually what would come out of this LS!!

heya DD welcome to the madland that is TVD....

i know how you felt. i felt exactly the same way when i first started with TVD but as i watched episode by episode, i realised that there is more to damon than what he potrays. he doesnt want to show his weakness coz that might lead to his doom, and i so love that about his character.

every episode he reveals a bit more about himself and i have a feeling that what has been revealed about damon is just the tip of the iceberg.

i am not saying i dont like stefan, i mean stefan just took my breath away the first time i saw him on the first episode, and i am rooting for stelena but somewhere deep in me i want damon to be happy and his happiness lies in elena. the episode where he confesses to elena and then wipes her memory was heatwrenching....

so yeah that is what is so great about TVD, you cant just resist the madness that it is.

anyways welocme aboard the TVD ship, i am sure you will have loads of fun here drooling over the salvatoe bros and others in the list.

You have mirrored my thoughts fijiana!!!.....This is exactly how I feel....I toowas stumped by Stefan and in all fairness even today, Stefan deserved Elena more but what pulls me to Damon is the gradual opening of his feelings...The way he oscillates between being a bad boy and yet cant stop his humanity from surfacing...I mean, even rose could see it....She told him so clearly that he could switch off his emotional button but he just doesnt...because even if it is the unattained love, its still love...Its still a feeling, you love to be in, no matter how painful it can be!!!

And Elena gets the good side of his on the surface...He becomes vulnerable with her...His desperation to be the bad boy in front of her is high but he just keeps fighting with self to switch modes but he cant....and as u said, his happiness is with Elena....

I am also so divided between two salvatore brothers...cant see one unhappy over other and I guess the shift is high towards Damon because he is more mysterious...his personality is still left unfolded.....

Cant wait for more....

haha i cant understnd ur dillema cox well i root for damon from the beggining... hehe 😆

after watching 1st episode i was all go stefan!!! but i dunno Damon is well Damon! and as u said its hard to resist him... 😆

but what i love the most is the Bond btween the two brothers. ❤️

U r darn right.....The bond between two brothers is excellent...they behave as if they hate each other but they really care for each other....Stefan once told Damon, that he is sorry he made Damon a Vampire but he didnt want to alone, without him...that changes their chemistry a little bit...Since then they have been each other's back...Stefan saved Damon from the fire and Damon saved him from the other Vampires.....Each of this episode was so touching....As Elena keeps taunting Damon, that he need not pretend that he doesnt care because he does!!!

I am sure Damon would free Stefan and prove Kat wrong!!
