Iqbal Khan was born Mohammed Iqbal Khan youngest son to Mr & Mrs Mohammed Amin Khan. Iqbal's father served as an officer in the Indian Civil Service.

Born on 10th February 1980, the last of four siblings he spent his younger years in Srinagar, Kashmir.

Due to the unrest in Kashmir, his devoted parents, made the decision to send him to Pinegrove boarding school and Lawrence School Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh.

In his early interviews he has mentioned that one of the things that really make him smile is the memory of his school days.

Iqbal Khan often in his interviews expresses his love for his family and work. A self confessed "workaholic", Iqbal had been working 16 to 18 hour schedules before the hectic time took a toll on his body.

Iqbal Khan married his girl friend Sneha Chhabra whom he had met six years earlier while shooting for a Falguni Pathak video, Mein Teri Prem Diwani . He had met Sneha once again when he was a struggling actor in Bombay. They have been together ever since. He has said that Sneha had stood by him during the most difficult part of his life. The two were married in January 2007.

He dropped out of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce to pursue his career as a film actor.

He had already started his career as a model and had worked in several music videos. First being Falguni Pathak's 'Main Teri Pren Deewani'.

BOLLYWOOD:
So far he has worked in two movies Fun2ssh and Bullet Ek Dhamaka.

He played character of Vicky in Fun2ssh. It was the story of two friends who somehow landed in history, a comedy film it was. Unfortunately it didn't do well.

His name was Arjun in the movie. It was an action drama and bitter luck again it did'nt do well too.

TELLY WORLD:

ANGAD/ ZAIB- Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai

He entered in the show as rock star Angad Khanna and instantly grabed fan following of thousands of people. Females got crazy about his 'too hot to handle' looks in the serial. He became a phenomenon all over. The character got him much fame and unparalleled success.

His on screen chemistry with co-star Neha Bamb became talk of the town. And Angad Kripa jodi gained much popularity among the youngsters.

He also played another character named Zaib in the show. That was also much liked by all his fans. His cool out look and perfect attitude made Zaib a successful character.

Kaisa Yeh Pyaar hai went off air on 5th October 2006, but is still a fresh memory in the hearts of all his die hard fans. We can never forget our ROCK STAR, ANGAD KHANNA.

RAGHU- Kahin To Hoga

A cameo played by Iqbal Khan in Balaji Telefilm's KAhin Tou Hoga. He proved through this character that he is a versatile actor. It was a role of Tapori who was paid to play fake Sujal to his family. Though it lasted for a month but was admired by all his fans.

SHOURYA- Kavyanjali

Another cameo and that too in Ekta's show. A totally positive character and was again carried off by perfection. He was once again welcomed warmly by his fans in the avatar of Shourya.

Shiv Kapoor- Karam Apna Apna

He played the role of Shiv Kapoor opposite Pallavi Subhash. It was a role of typical young man, with cool attitude. And was as usual admired by all. He exited the show at the end of 2006 and it was rumored this was due to his tiffs with the production house.

But he clarified that the reasons for that were personal, he left because he wanted to give time to his fiancee.

FLIGHT LT ABHIMANYU ADHIKARI- Choona Hai Asmaan

He essayed the role of an air-force officer in Chhona HAi Asmaan. Fans went mad seeing him in blue uniform, looking all handsome. He again streched it to perfection.

He also disguised as Mishra Ji and a sports coach in the serial and two characters were also pulled off with equal grace.

When asked about his role in the serial, Iqbal said, "Flight Lt Abhimanyu, was a well-disciplined man who lives his life by a set of certain rules. The character may seem stern at times, but he had a dry sense of humour that would appeal to audiences of all ages. The role did require trainining on every aspect of the airforce and how the aircrafts operate. To get into the skin of the character, I needed to capture the love, passion these officers have for their Country."

He soon made his exit from the show and was replaced by another actor, the show did saw fall in TRPs as he detached himself from it. The reasons again remained unexplained.

SHANKAR- Waaris

Shankar, Rudra Prataps' eldest son, is an obedient, loyal son for whom his father's wish is a command. He is a self effacing and headstrong man, who has no control over his anger. He cannot tolerate anything against his father, not even from his own wife. He loves his younger brother Shourya and could kill in cold blood for him.

The serial went off air in the mid way due to the strikes of production houses.
