Ishaan has seen the change in Suhana, but he has given up on the thought that Suhana will ever love him. I have seen him give up on her love. She talked about leaving several times and decided to stay back only because of his family. We the audience get to see Suhana's expressions and hear her thoughts, but Ishaan is not around to see that. He sees her angry side, her previous love for Sid, and rich life.
Ishaan's manner of expressing his love is different. He cannot be romantic with her, but a few times he has caressed her hair, bought the car, and most of all, accepted her love for Sid and stood by her when Sid hurt her. He gave her the Rs 20,000 and did not think about it anymore, this shows that he is practical and does not dwell on things. Just like that he gave up on winning her love and does not dwell on it. The ball is entirely in Suhana's court. She doesn't know that Ishaan loves her, but she is the one who wanted out from the marriage.
I don't like how sometimes Ishaan makes fun of Suhana in front of his family and does not take her side in front of Sona. But maybe that is because he thinks of her as one of the family, knows how much everyone loves her and that they will never do anything to hurt her - so he doesn't need to take her side against them. As for Sona, I do hope he eventually takes Suhana's side just to humor her because I am tiring of his need to do the right thing rather than take Suhana's side.

I agree to Ishaan's logic of not accepting the sunglasses infact, he specificially said that he can do anything for her but he can not be or imitate Sid, which is good.
And also agree that Ishaan is not like 'Raj', he cannot express his love in words, but rather is expressed in actions..like care, car, dress and a lot many.
But then doesnt he know that for Suhaana, expressing love in words is also important, infact the almost first time that he expressed in words last week, we could see Suhaana staring back at him.
From day one, Suhaana had said that she cannot live with his family, but as time passed, he saw that she not only changed herself but she started enjoying their company so much that her own sis could feel that for her her inlaws are more impt..she didnt even stay back for her bday party, but took the food back to eat with her family members.
If we take the entire episode of Suhaana wanting to go back home, did we ever once hear Ishaan tell her in front of her to not go? NO. Infact until the last minute he never once said that don't go, he kept marking the dates in the calendar and reminding her when she is going. But never once stopped her. Still Suhaana did speak her mind, inspite of thinking that Ishaan always wanted her to go back. She said she doesnt want to go. After that also Ishaan didn't say he was glad etc..all he said was that she should be a good wife !!!
Every time, Suhaana has listened to Ishaan, why would she do that ? Be it riding his scooter, or for that matter buying his scooter back, going to the wedding,
making rotis for him trying to be a good wife and all that.
I still think that Ishaan should realise that if Suhaana can accept and love the rest of the family members then why not him. I don't think he has given up at all. He should speak up atleast once. Suhaana must be sick of him being a friend to her !
Neither of them now that the other likes him/her. But I know that this time as well it will be Suhaana only he will speak up :)
No wonder badi maa says that Suhaana is perfect for someone like Ishaan. !!!
