when i saw that 1965, i was wondering that rahman started composin music since age of 1 !!! fortunately tamil songs site said it was 1994 so i am guessin tat too !!!!

arun, u might need to teach me tamil too.. i get the gist of the song (sometimes) but not always..

its funny, last sem my room mate would continuously play tamil songs n tamil music coz she is from chennai and i wuld get SO irritated coz i didnt understand a word of it.. now its changed.. i listen to more tamil music than she does !!!

I don't speak Tamil, but I have heard some songs in your list and they are all good. I would add Sindhu Bhairavi (Ilayaraja) and Indira (AR Rehman).
