At the end of the day, I would like to see Dutta change because he himself comes to the realization that the person he is once again becoming is wrong. That he is doing the wrong thing with his life. And not because Naku follows him around taking his anger in stride, or reminding him that he is blinded by his rage...setting an "example", per se, so that Dutta realizes wow, she really does love me.

That's not how I want to see it play out. I want him to begin to change from inside to some degree, and to bring Naku back into his life as a result.
To this end, I would have loved it if the letter DP wrote to Dutta talked about DP's life...how wrong he was in his life, his anger at the world, at being denied by his own family and blamed, etc. At how HE CHANGED HIMSELF. How much better life was because he had left his stubbornness, selfishness, his mistrust, and anger behind.
It would be nice to see Dutta begin to absorb what this letter says and THINK about his own life-- his father's words, essentially doing in death, what DP could not in life. Which was to pass advice to his son, to support his son, provide guidance in his life, and leave behind some words of love.

Hi Parul,
I agree and I, sincerely, hope he does now as it is sometimes important to look at a mirror image of oneself to appreciate the course, one's life has taken.
DP repented heavily for all his sins and died in contentment (in spite of being murdered cold-bloodedly by Kala). Dutta has to come to terms with the fact that however bad one's parent could turn out to be, their natural instincts for eventually protecting their offsprings will in the end prevail.
Also, he would grow as a person as he will finally realise that one has to love oneself to be able to love anybody else. Up to now, he had been happy in the belief (sadly the turn of events have proved him right) that he has been the recipient of so much hurt because he was not loved. How can one appreciate and acknowledge real love if you do not take care of your own happiness? Happiness is earned and not bestowed. Repeatedly indulging on a trip of gratitude for AS, for your sisters, for Nakusha is not going to be always beneficial. Sometimes becoming selfish and bordereing on cruel in the process will save oneself from all that sounds and look beautiful on the outside but could prove to be a hornet's nest when opened.
DP achieved the rare feat of earning our (or maybe mine) sympathy as he was the only one who went out of his way to prove that he loved his son irrespective of the tragedy that befell Dutta in his chilldhood. Dutta's redemption does not depend uniquely on Nakusha's attempt to salvage their love but also his recognition of his roots.

Love your thought,Parul.As always.😊
I too want that profound change in D coming from his own heart. I was hoping for this when Damodar Papaji entered D's life. But it was such a half baked disappointing track which left things more confused than ever. After reading ur thought I feel hopeful what DP could not accomplish that letter might.Of course it will take ages for D to get to it but still once that happens I am hoping he really sees people for who they are. I do not want another dramatic BHR, KR i.e Badi Hasti Revelation, Kala Revelation courtesy the bahu of the house.Because if that happens she will be the most battered & bruised in this entire saga. I'd really hate to see that. Its not fair & too heavy a price to pay for loving someone unconditionally.Let Dutta come to terms with the bitter truths of his & Nakusha's life on his own. Let him find Nakusha as a reward at the end of this transformation.

@ Bold : These words gave me way to think the present situation in a new way..........
Yes,DP's letter may become the catalyst now.........Along with whatever you have mentioned here,I want to add one more thing,
"What if DP's letter has something which can change Dutta's notion towards "Dhoka".........????"
See,DP knew his son has this hatredness towards "Dhoka"..........So,he might have just tried in his letter to make Dutta realise that "Dhoka" always is not something which is wrong........
It may be Betrayal, lie or FAreb.........IF the "Irada" is not bad or If Dhoka is done for others "Good",then it is not wrong at all.........
Similarly,If someone loves you for their own benefit or selfish reason or any bad intention behind it........Then,even the "Love" becomes "Dhoka"..........
So,everything lies on "For what reason you are doing".............
Dutta should understand this....This is what Kala's "Bhala,Bura" is..........
When Dutta once understands this, then leave Nakku,AS or Baaji........He will never ever get hyper about "Dhoka" at all.........?Then,he will try to look at the matter in different perspectives & more calmly.......................
I think thats what he needs to do rt now................"Change his notion towards Betrayal & himself too"..............................
BTW, PArul...Thx a ton for this post...............
