That is what Millie she does love Viren and care for him but can never understand where his real happiness lies and doesn't think family and family's love is important for happiness of a person all she thinks money and property will buy happiness for her and Viren and will not be able to understand his pain while separating him from Nivi. As at the moment all Viren thinks is there is some misunderstanding between two families and he has to solve them to unite these families and also tries to bridge Nivi and his mother but later Viren will also come to know about their real colors it will be then he will show them the mirror. If he had come to know the truth then he would not have been so good. He actually never wanted to leave family or stay away from them when he and Nivi started the act he just thought they will be angry and scold him bash him but it never occur to him that enmity is so big that they will throw him out instead of accepting Nivi. In temple too when Nivi said to lets go home he didn't said I don't want to go home and didn't show the anger on them for scolding or bashing him. He was feeling bad for their behavior towards Nivi and so asked her do you really want to go back so this shows how much he loves them and actually can't live without them and never took anything to heart whatever they said to him but at the same time he knows he had to stand for Nivi as she is his responsibility now. When she said she is ready then he with little hesitation accepted the offer and went back home. He would have never mention about his staying away but he did to show he is back in family because his wife doesn't want to snatch a son from family and to show her goodness to family. He handled everything very peacefully at that moment.
