Hi Friends😊 Actually went on to listen Tees maar khan songs, as it is one of the most hyped albums this year. Farah Khan sounded very promising, she repeated her OSO duo Vishal-Shekhar for TMK, honestly speaking everything about the album disappointed me. Its not anywhere close to OSO or main hoon na music, forget that its not even as good as V-S's previous music i.e AnjaanaAnjaani, IHLS, etc. I do write & post music reviews of many movies, so I thought of posting this one here as there has been some discussions regarding the TMK music😊
The movie offers 5 original tracks & 4 remixes.
1) Tees Maar khaan title track, sung by Sonu nigam. It has a "Bond" like tune & is absolute fun to listen, its peppy & catchy. I think this is one track which stands out for me, only thing I feel is somewhat Sonu's voice is wasted, MD's need to know that too much of experimentation is not good.lyrics are good when it comes to akshays character, the remix version makes a good party no.. Rating: 3.5/5
2) Next track is Sheila Ki Jawaani, the most Overhyped song of the album. It has an interesting name "Sheila ki jawaani" [reminds of one movie I watched "Reshma ki jawaani", dont ask how horrible that movie was :P]. Another loud song. Sung by Sunidhi chauhan & Vishal Dadlani.
I found out interesting post in different newspaper, websites "farah khan gifts rocking item number to katrina kaif in tees maar khan sheela ki jawani" Expectation was definately high. After I listen to the song, What was rocking on this song?? Sunidhi has tried her level best but still the music especially harmonic tones along with drum bites with the flow of song is just not matching and no way near rocking iteam song. Though,I guess it will be treat to watch with katrina kaif twisting body parts with some special moves. I feel the remix of it sounds somewhat better than the original.
Nowhere near to Munni badnaam.
Rating:2.5/5
3) Wallah re wallah- another hyped song, farah even said this songs going to be more popular then tumse milke of main hoon naa, but its disappointing. Kamal, Raja, Shekhar& Shreya behind the vocals. The song is okay types. There is nothing new in this song. I am sure the picturisation will be better than just listening to the mp3.
Rating:3/5
4) Bade Dilwala: The song is sung by energetic duo Shreya ghoshal & Sukhwinder singh. Sounds good but falls short because of forgetable tune. The song is quite an average composition. Rating:2.5/5
5) Happy Ending: Reality show singers Abhijeet, prajakta, debojit & harshit behind the vocals. Quite a nice song to listen & I think it will be the flavour for new year parties. This is a song about dreams & aspirations. This is a all izz well kind of song. And I think audiences will like it. Rating: 3.5/5
Overall rating: 2.5/5
I am quite surprised or say shocked that the music is composed by VIshal-Shekar, one of the best music duo's of our country. What went wrong with TMK music? I guess V-S were not in good mood while making it.
Tees maar khaan:
Wallah re wallah:
Sheila ki jawani:

Ekdumm bhayyankurr music hain. Vishaal time to hang up your music mixer. Shekhar give up composing filmi songs and try your hand at bhajans. Maybe god will forgive you your TMK gunhaa.

Hey I too thought of the same movie when I came across the title sheila ki jawani😆 :P

I too dint expect such music from Vishal-Shekhar, actually I thought TMK will become a chartbuster. Anyway out of all the songs I somewhat like the title track & also wallah re wallah, but one thing is that it sounds a bit serious at the starting may be because of Kamal & Raja's voice, I was expecting the song to have some flavor of fun.

this is probably vishal shekhars worst albums!!
i seriously love their music. i do. and anjaana anjaani was far far superior to TMK. i guess its coz farah has been hyping the music so much that its just not met the expectations pple had. also, mayb the songs are 'growers' - altho i seriously doubt it. usually V-S have atleast one song that u can croon for months, sadly, TMK doesnt even have half a song. very disappointing.
