how did vedika and everyone else find out it was dhruv and not karan who was alive?

Same here, I live in Canada too. But, I think Dhruv stopped Vedika because Karan was too mean to her. Actually, I'm not sure myself. Sorry.

The cops found 2 people at the accident place. One was alive, but injured and other died at the spot. They found a chain whicn Alisha had given to Karan. Since the chain was found next to the dead body, they knew that it was Karan who died and Dhurv is alive at the hospital.
