Short Term Shaadi: The movie stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Directed by newcomer Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar, it will be shot in Las Vegas. It is a remake of Ashton Kytcher-Cameron Diaz starrer What Happens in Vegas, which was a bad movie to begin with!

Guzaarish: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan. It is about the relationship between a quadruplegic (former) magician and his caretaker. The plot is similar to Christopher Nolan's The Prestige, starring Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman, and Christian Bale. Guzaarish also shares similarities with Alejandro Amenabar's The Sea Inside, starring Javier Bardem. Both films are about a quadruplegic man who wants to end his life with dignity and how the people around him try to convince him against it.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan: Starring Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Ali Zafar, the film is directed by newcomer Abbas Ali Zafar. It is a copy of Steve Carell and Juliette Binoche starrer Dan In Real Life where a man falls in love with his brother's fiancee. What angers us is the casting of Katrina in Juliette's role. Katrina and Juliette may be equally gorgeous but Juliette is a multiple award-winning multi-lingual actress par excellence, which Kat is far from.

Allah Ke Banday: Faruk Kabir has directed this movie about juvenile crime, which he also stars in. Sharman Joshi and Naseeurddin Shah are the other lead players along with a bunch of children. It is evident from the title and poster that the film is a copy of City of God, an acclaimed Brazilian film City of God. The original was powerful, rivetting, and shocking. Let's see how the Indian remake will be.

Action Replayy: Vipul Shah's romantic comedy starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Aditya Roy Kapoor is a shameless and soulless copy of Robert Zemeckis' entertaining cult film Back to The Future starring Michael J. Fox.

Players: At least this one is an official remake. The Abbas-Mustan film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bipasha Basu, and Sonam Kapoor is a masala and glamorous thriller based on The Italian Job, directed by F. Gary Gray starring Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg, and others. Players will be shot in Russia and other exotic locales and we think it will be a signature Abbas-Mustan flick.

We Are Family: Kareena Kapoor and Kajol were excellent in the movie which was an otherwise lacklustre and torturous affair. KJo officially remade Stepmom but it did not set his cash registers ringing. Moreover, we do not think the producers and fans of that film would have been very happy as WAF lacked soul.

What's with Bollywood and remakes? First they used to steal scenes, action sequences (which they still do), music and what nots. Now the whole movie? (I guess now they call it in a more 'legit' ways) Don't they have a mind of their own?

The Sea Inside and The Prestige are heck of a movie. 👍🏼 I'm a big big Christopher Nolan fan. Kudos to this guy.

Have watched only half of 'City of God' It was a bit too gory for me so cudnt watch. Italian Job was very entertaining. Love Charlize. Stepmom was Okish- havent watched We are Family- dont even want to.
