and abt bhojpuri if u find seema and manoj's hindi pure hindi, nothing bhojpuri then i cant do anything in it .....and abt using pure bhojpuri do watch 2-3 episodes of the starting u will find it .....also shweta using so

1. i don't need your 'advice'.

2. like i've been parroting constantly already, my posts are NOT anti-punjabi. my problem is about people assuming that anything even remotely close to hindi is understandable to one and all. well, it is not. i would have had the same issue if people were to talk in bengali or marathi for that matter.

3. i haven't found instances of bhojuri being spoken in season 4. done.......... and done.

Bigg Boss and Bollywood sell what sells. When Bangalore clubs are rocking Bhangra all night long and Singh is King is a blockbuster down south, why shouldn't BB have a piece of the pie too. Punjabi is the flavor the season and I don't mind it. I do find it easy to understand and I'm not Punjabi.

just because all things bhangra are 'in', doesn't mean that flouting the rules should be excused. i go clubbing pretty often, and bhangra is played in a select few clubs down south and even in mumbai. house and trance music is played more often, but that's besides my point.

YOU may find it easy to understand punjabi, but my point is- not everyone does! what's wrong in keeping to hindi when the rule is to stick to the national language? 😕

Well then Dolly shouldn't be the only one punished.

When Begum came out she said him, veena and aanchal used to speak in Punjabi all the time.

Vindoo spoke Punjabi all the time. Monica Bedi and Rakhi spoke Punjabi, Aryan Vaid and Rahul Roy used to speak in Punjabi in BB1.

Ravi Kissen, Raja Chaudhry, Sambhavna all spoke in Bhojpuri. Ravi Kissen used to speak more Bhojpuri than Hindi.

Why is it an issue now.

I don't live in India so I don't know what the bars and the clubs play but I was at a club in Bangalore and they played more Bhangra than Delhi.

Btw pinkfreud you can act like its not anti anything but your distaste for anything North Indian is pretty obvious. You just called out Delhilites and now Punjabi.

i've been saying all along that anything that is not hindi should not be swallowed. that goes for anybody speaking in ANY language. the reason i'm posting in this thread is because THIS SEASON seems to be particularly lenient as compared to past seasons.

resorting to personal jibes is really not required here, thank you very much. my post about delhiites was in jest, and the person who replied to my post took it sportingly, unlike you, for some strange reason (?). how can you assume whether i'm from the north, south, east or west just by reading my counter arguments and because i'm going against the tide here? however, just to quell any lingering doubts people may have, i'm a kashmiri pandit. there- are you happy now?

well, i've constantly brought up other languages as moot points in my posts. i would have made the very same points if the thread was about ANY other language. but since the topic starter started a subject on dolly, i merely stuck to it.

if people are taking my opinions so personally, i will gladly bow out. all i did was to voice my opinion about anything that was non-hindi- and if you read between the lines i also spoke out against people talking in english.

I undertand the rules state Hindi only and I agree with you there but like I said Bigg Boss has only punished people for speaking English before when regional languages have been spoken before.

But what can you really expect when the Host of the show encourages English to get some cheap laughs. Salman Khan is the most annoying person to ever host BB but thats a topic for another day.

i agree with you as well, but the thing about regional languages is that we come from all corners of the nation so as a thumb rule, hindi is the one thing that binds us together. in effect that should be the only thing allowed; either that, or if people are to speak in their native lingo, then hindi subtitles should be provided (corny i know, but it should be done keeping in mind all viewers).

oh, about salman khan.... his hindi is less than average and so is his 'sense of humour'. i don't much care for him, his attire, his attitude, or his weird accent. there was a thread on his hosting 'skills' somewhere around here but not surprisingly, it got buried.
