Part 6

One Month Later

It been one month since Geet has started working at Khurana constructions...there is not a day that goes by that Maan and her don't have some sort of argument or bicker...Geet enjoys being around Maan when he is in a good mood she can see herself having a good friendship with him but the minute she thinks there is a chance of them being friends Maan starts to yell at her and the thought of being friends with him just gets stored in the back of her mind. But whenever Maan is close to her or touches her she felt nervousness in her stomach that she'd hadn't felt in a while. She didn't understand why him touching her sent currents running through her body.

Maan on the other hand realizes that there is something about Geet that intrigues him and he finds himself lost starting into her eyes when she is talking to him, or is lost staring at her in her office through his glass window, he doesn't know what is happening to him but he doesn't care, he's enjoying his fighting showdowns with Geet he can see that she is a strong woman and won't take his crap, he finds that very attractive in her since she is the only woman that he has met in his life that isn't affect by his good looks. When Geet isn't around him he finds himself lost in her thoughts and wonders what she is doing.

Dev, NT, Adi, and Pinky have been watching Maan and Geet for the past month and have realized that there is nothing that they can do that will make Maan and Geet fall in love with each other, they know that Maan and Geet are bound to fall for each other, the way they fight with each other and get lost in each other's eyes they know it won't be too long when the two of them realize they love each other. Dev and the gang decided not to push their love and let them realize on their own that they can't live without each other.

There was just 2 WEEKS left till Pinky and Adi's wedding. It was Saturday afternoon and Geet and Pinky had an appointment with Pinky's dress designer to pick out something for Geet to wear at the wedding

Geet: Pinky what is the need of this? I have so many suits, lenghas, and saris that I still have never worn, how about I try a few on for you and you can pick one for me to wear

Piny: GEET NO, you're wearing something from my designer and that's it now let's got

Pinky got her car keys out of her purse and dragged Geet to her designs Boutique

Once there Geet was overwhelmed with all the selections and decided to pick a sari to wear to Pinkys wedding

Back at Khurana Mansion

Adi: Hey Dev is Maan ready yet?

Dev: I'm not sure bro is in his room he said he'll be back down

Adi: ok I'll go find him, are you going to be joining us?

Dev: no NT and I have to go down to the restaurant and meet some suppliers we'll see you tonight thought at Pinkys Mehndi ceremony

Adi: ok see you tonight

Adi walked up stairs to Maan's room and started banging the door

Adi: Maan hurry up we're going to be late

Maan: adi I'm coming hold up a sec

Maan shot back at adi and opened the door

Maan: I don't understand why your making me go buy a new sherwani I have so many that I don't wear

Adi: Maan you're my best man you have to buy a new one we've been through this so many times lets go

Maan and Adi made their way to the store that was connected to Pinkys designers' boutique and went in and looked at the selections they had...Maan grabbed a few and went to the change room to try them on

Maan: this is so stupid NO ONE yells or orders Maan Singh Khurana around..I'm only letting it slide because it is Adi's wedding but after that if yells at me again he's a dead man

Maan thought to himself. Maan finally decided on sherwani after10 minutes of trying it on. He looked amazing in it was a beige sherwani with a hint of red and yellow embroidery

Maan's Sherwani

Maan: looking good Maan...done now adi can be off my case and I can go home and finish my work

As Maan walked back to the change room after showing adi the sherwani , he stood frozen in his tracks as he could see Geet through the window in the store next door....he saw Geet coming out of the change room trying on saris...he walked closer to the window and watched her in amusement...Geet was fumbling with her sari's pallu and joking around with Pinky...he could see Pinky getting irritated and Geet just laughing and having a fun time....the smile on Maan's face grew with every laugh that Geet took.

Pinky was getting irritated at Geet for taking so long

Pinky: GEET (pinky yelled) please just pick on already they look amazing on you

Geet: but pinky I can't decided between these 3

Pinky: ok Geet go try them on again and show me them and I'll help you choose one ok

Geet nodded as she picked up the 3 saris..as Geet came out of the change room in the first sari that was pink with yellow flowers on it she noticed Maan standing near the window looking at her....Maan was standing there with his arms crossed giving her a thumbs down on the sari and shaking his head...Geet looked in the mirror and looked at Maan's reflection and also shook her head and went into change.

The second sari that Geet wore was a turquoise sari it looked beautiful on her and she loved the color....before coming out of the change room she took a deep breath and stood in front of the mirror where she was before and turned back to see if Maan was still her.....as she turned around a smile came on her lips as Maan was still here....he looked at her in the sari and gave her a "it's better but not the one" look....she headed back to the change room upset that he didn't like her choice and tried on the last sari.

The last sari was just beautiful it was a yellow and red sari...Geet looked like and angel in it...she liked it the best out of the 3 and was hoping that Maan would like it too...she didn't know why Maan's say mattered to her but she knew she wanted to know what he thought of it...she looked at herself one last time in the mirror and fixed her pallu and walked out of the change room to the same spot...the minute she turned around Maan's breath was taken away.

Geet's Sari

Geet stood in front of him looking sensational...he looked at her captivated...as Geet slowly brought her head up to Maan she saw him standing there with his thumb up smiling...Maan gestured to himself to ask for her opinion of his serwani...she looked at him and gave him a thumbs up too....she could feel her face turning red and ran to the change room....Maan stood there shaking his head and smiling and went to the change room.

Both Adi and Pinky saw this and looked at each other with their eyes wide open in amazement

Back in the change room Maan thought to himself

Maan: Maan what was that all about....what is it about that girl that makes you lose your senses

Geet also thought to herself

Geet: oye Geet yeh tujse kya ho raha hai....why is it that whenever you see Maan you get all nervous this hasn't happened since....NAHI

Geet said to herself and shook that thought out of her head and changed

Pinky: so Geet are we all done

Geet: yes I found my sari (she said shyly) chale

As Geet and Pinky where making their way out of the boutique, Maan and adi where coming out as well

Adi: hey guys how are you

Adi said as he winked at Pinky

Pinky: hey I didn't know you guys were going to be here

She said raising and eyebrow returning his wink

Geet was feeling very shy and hid behind Adi when she saw Maan was sending an email on his phone...as Maan looked up to find Geet he didn't see her and looked around and found those intoxicating eyes behind adi

Maan: woh main (he said staring into Geet's eyes and losing his train of thought)

Adi: you had to get back home so you can finish work...right?

Adi said finishing his sentence

Maan: haan...

And left without saying anything

That night everyone was gathered in a fancy huge beautiful a hall to celebrate Pinkys mehndi and Sangeet ceremony all the guest had arrived and where enjoying themselves. Pinky was sitting with Adi as she got her mehndi done...the two of them where so in love it was unbelievable....Dev and NT where on the dance floor enjoying themselves.

Maan was at the bar looking around trying to find Geet

Maan: why is it that at this big function with so many guests my eyes are dying to see Geet

He said as he took a sip of his coke...just than the saw an angelic figure wearing a purple lengha holding a tray full of flowers coming down the stairs...their eyes meet as Geet was making her way down the stairs....Maan got up from the bar and was slowly making his way to the stairs...as Geet was about to take her last step down her heel got caught in her lengha and was about to fall when Maan caught her.

He wrapped his arms tightly around her tiny waist and pulled her close to him...she put her head in his chest as she tightly grabbed on to his arms...breathing heavily

Maan: (whispering in Geet's ear) it's ok I got you

He said as she lifted her head up and he let go of her waist....Geet bent down to pick up the flowers....Maan too helped her...as Geet reached for the flower that was by Maan's knee he unknowingly reached down to grab it but grabbed her hand instead...Geet shot her head up as both her and Maan where looking deep into each other's eyes

Geet: woh sir (she said quietly) mera haat

Maan looked down and looked back at her still holding her hand

Maan: Geet sir sirf office mein....outside call me Maan

He said holding her hand tighter

Geet could feel her blood rushing through her veins

Geet: woh....woh..sir... mera matlab Maan...mera haat

Maan let go of her hand while a smile grew on his face hearing Geet call him Maan....they both got up as Maan handed her the last flower and turned around to leave.

Geet: MAAN (she called out as he turned around) thank you for helping me today at the Boutique and saving me from falling (she said shyly)

Geet turned around to leave when Maan grabbed her duppata and pulled her towards him slowly

Maan: (whispering in Geet's ear) tum aaj bahut khubsurat lagti ho

Geet closed her eyes as Maan let go of her duppata and walked away leaving her breathless....Geet stood there breathing heavily trying to catch her breath with a smile on her face and ran away as she felt her face turn red....Maan saw this and couldn't but help smile.

Maan: Pagali

He said quietly as he took another sip of his coke

Dev and NT saw all this happening and couldn't be happier as they continued to dance embraced in each other's arms.

Pinky: Geet (she yelled) Come her look at my mehndi

Geet came and saw the beautiful design on her hands and pointed out adi's name

Geet: I found his name

She said very pleased his herself

Mehndi lady: beti (she said looking at Geet and grabbing her hand) aap bhi aapki hathon mein mehndi laga lo

Pinky and adi looked at each other and didn't know what to say....they knew Geet hadn't but mehndi on her hands since Ranbir has passed away

Pinky: nahi aunty Geet baad mein....

She said as she saw Geet's eyes s over come with tears

Flashback

Mehndi lady: there you go sweetie now try to find your husband's name

Geet looked at her mehndi not able to find Ranbir's name and pouted

Geet: aunty I can't find it

Ranbir came and took her hands into her hands and pointed out his name

Ranbir: dekha Geet you don't love me as much as I love you

Geet: chup I do too love you, more than you will ever know

She said as he kissed her forehead still holding her hands

Present

Geet wasn't able to control her emotions anymore and got up ....she turned around quickly and slammed into Maan

Maan: (asking concerned) Geet kya hua?

Geet wasn't able to talk and ran away from there

Piny: Geet

Pinky yelled and was about to run behind her when Maan stopped her

Maan: Pinky it's ok I'll go and see what happened

Maan ran upstairs only to see Geet standing on the balcony crying profusely...he walked up to her and turned her towards him

Maan: Geet what happened why are you crying

He asked more concerned and started to wipe her tears away....Geet looked at Maan and fell into his arms and cried even harder

Maan: GEET

Maan asked now scared....he didn't know what happened and he didn't know what to do all he knew was that he wanted to help her but how

Maan: Geet stop crying and tell me what happened

He said as he pulled her off of him holding her arms still staring into her eyes

Geet: woh Ranbir

She said as she fell to the ground crying holding her knees to her chest wrapping her arms around them tightly sobbing

Maan: RANBIR....yeh Ranbir kaun hai

He said as he looked at a heartbroken Geet on the floor.....
