Oh wow, thanks for sharing, Deeps!😃 Really enjoyed these vids a lot, esp the background music and all!
Loved both the temple images, esp the Tirupati one, because I'm from Andhra and I've been to Tirupati a lot and have seen all the beautiful Vigrahas Debi showed and talked about.šŸ˜ The Vaisho Devi one was also cool, does anyone know where (in which state) the temple is?

Thanks Janaki for the PM! :)
Out of the vids posted, I have so far only been lucky enough to visit Vaishno Devi and I have to say that I would recommend it to everyone. The experience was just amazing!! I think it was about 3am and I had only reached the halfway mark (Ardh Kuvari) and I was so exhausted and felt like having a loong break lol. But then you see little 3year old kids walking the entire journey as well as 60-70 year olds and that too barefoot and I just felt so motivated. It was interesting watching the video. :) I just wish there was a little more insight on why exactly people visit Bhairavnath or maybe one of our members can give a bit more insight in to it. I know my mum tried explaining that Maa had gone and hid in the cave (ardh kuvari) to hide from Bhairavnath..right? and then when he came to ask for forgiveness Maa give him a boon that 'anyone who comes to get blessings from me, it will be incomplete until they have got blessings from you too'. But i'd love for someone to explain this in a little more detail please?

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience for anyone that goes!

It was my pleasure. :D
I too would like to visit the Vaishno Devi temple one day, it looks very beautiful. Wow, thanks for sharing your experience with us. Tirupati too is like that. Climbing the seven hills is very hard, but once you do it, it feels very invigorating, and you feel closer to God too. My brother who was only two climbed the seven hills very energetically one time, all God's Mahima.😊

Thnx Deeps! It is so nice to see her on TV again.

Lalitha, Vaishno Devi is in the Himalaya mountains. Not sure about the state; UP or Himachal Pradesh!

I might be wrong but I thought it was in the state of Jammu and Kashmir? We got down at Jammu station as far as I remember. The security situation isn't as bad as Kashmir but still the airport is not up to scratch. But still, people come from all over India and outside India no matter what the conditions at the station and airport.

Edit: Are you a Hare Krishna devotee? Your siggy reminded me one of my gujju friends who is a Hare Krishna devotee and she always says Hari Bol :)

You MUST visit it at least once. I think it sort of increased my faith in the one above. As my family are originally from Mumbai, we used to make a yearly trip to India and we'd always visit Shirdi..that too is a must! Especially near New Year's time it is very packed and waking up for the 4am aarti feels so amazing. But this time we decided we had to visit Vaishno Devi. In fact, it is a lot of fun singing devotional songs while going up and you get large groups singing and dancing along chanting 'Jai Mata Di' and for more of the journey you do not even realise that you are walking almost 30 kilometres all the way to Bhairavnath and back. I think the most difficult part is once you've reached Vaishno Devi, because the walk up to Bhairavnath is VERY steep! I was in total pain for 4 days after that..my legs killed! (I am quite unfit by the way lol) but it was absolutely worth it and I would recommend it to everyone.

I must say your 2 year old brother must have had a lot of strength in him to walk all the way at such a young agešŸ‘honestly, it is absolutely amazing to see such young kids happily walking up and making their way to Vaishno Devi with a smile on their face and not complaining. When you see 75+ year old people walking up, with heavy bags in their hands, it just makes you realise the amount of devotion and faith people have..it almost brings a tear to the eye.

Jai Mata Di!

@hindu, it may be in Jammu/Kashmir. I am not very sure about the state. No, I am not a Hare Krishna. Just a regular Vishnu Bhakth, that is all.
