This Monday we continue at Takur Niwas, Krishna approaches Prof. "looks like it wasn't enough that you belittle, disinvite and insult us you had to throw salt on our wounds by singling out your daughter for an invitation to the wedding"? SS chuckles silently as Takurain jumps right in "for all the insults you have showered on us, I will say it on behalf of all of us '...from this day forward no one in this family will ever darken your doorstep". SS smiles glad to let his wife do all the talking and play the villain while he has his way. KN decides to add his two paise worth to the mix by threatening the Prof. to leave quietly before he breaks his head. Prof. stands there like a little kid scared he was going to be get beaten up by the bullies on the school playground. What a meek and weak man who has not the strength or courage to stand up to the Takurs! Neither did he think twice before he singled out his daughter to attend her sister's wedding. For an man with a college degree and educating young adults, he lacks the understanding of social skills needed especially when handling the likes of the Takurs.
SS steps in and tell his "bayl buddhi" son Katra Naresh to put a lid on it. He then urges Baba to send his babu to her sister's wedding. He derides Prats "she is only here physically, not mentally. If we don't' let her go she will tell the IG and file a case against all of us. Let her go as she loves to make a public spectacle and play with this family's respect, let her go to her sister's wedding. If you don't what's the difference between the IG and us? We understand relationships and kinship and we get on with it. He assures Prof. that Prats will come to the wedding. Takur, you are a master at this. How do you manage to insult Prats and assure her father all in just one stroke? He reinforces his urge to send Prats to the wedding.
Prats who had been listening in silence all this time speaks up surprising the Takurs."But I won't go to Arushi's wedding. The Takurs and her father are shocked. She approaches her father "how can you think I'd come? You were the one who thought us that a girl's real home after marriage is her sasural. Any respect or disrespect to them is mine too. How can I go where my sasural has been humiliated? No, Papa I can't come." SS is enjoying this drama on his center stage. Krishna wants to know "how can you think I'd go anywhere you have been forbidden. I am your dharampatni and I have been trying to say this since yesterday but you were not ready to listen". Prats turns to her father with folded hands " forgive me, I can't go to Arushi's wedding without my family. SS and Krishna look at Prats with satisfaction and pride and Prof. takes his leave and SS bids him adieu with folded hands. Watching Shamu walk away makes us wonder how he got this far in life being a gutless man father of three adult children.
Ganti Dadi obliges SS and rings her bell in approval of Prats's decision. Kesar is pleased but Takurain is disappointed. Well, Takurain, there goes your plans tel lene once again! Just when you think you have filled your Baba's ears with poison while you fed him morsels of food, he gives you the slip and goes right back to locking eyes with his Babu. Your losing streak seems to be par for the course with your attitude towards their marriage. It must be tough to swallow that karela lodged in your throat every time you see Baba show Prats even a smidgen of attention or love, doesn't it? You may well win your Baba's love back if you show his wife a modicum of respect lets forget love. But to you that's an insurmountable task.
An excited Krishna picks up Prats in his arms in front of the entire family and spins around. "this is how a wife should be" he calls out to his parents. SS yells at him "you have gone mad, take your Rasa Leela to your bed chamber, stop the notanki". Takurji, they are a young couple in love, why so offended? Your mother Ganti Dadi happily shakes her head as she is very thrilled about it. Love has never meant much to his parents or brother, yet that seems to be the petrol that keeps Prats going. Baba suggests the whole family join together and apologize to Prats.😲 This suggestion has RED literarily seeing red. They make a hasty exit and Krishna praises his saptarishi taron "Anyone as lucky as me can do anything with a wife like Prats. My wife is so loving and beautiful, I made you anxious, confused so I'll take you out to make up for any complaints you may have". GD rings her bell to signal her approval to the idea. Baba a flip-flopper! On Thursday he said he couldn't breathe without her let alone eat, Friday he woke up the entire family to announce his regret for marrying Prats and today he calls himself the luckiest man to have a loving and beautiful wife. Make up your mind dude! You are emotionally swinging like a pendulum. Mercury Baba!
At the Green house, Komal tells Adarsh she won't let Arushi's wedding go ahead. Adarsh tells her now the marriage cannot be stopped and neither will anyone try to stop it. Komal is offended that Adarsh thinks her words are just a game. She attempts to hang herself while Adarsh asks her "needs help?" This infuriates Komal and she tells Adarsh he can't get rid of her so easily. He chides her "Drama queen!"
Shamu returns home and assures his anxious family that all went well at Takurs and SS was understanding of our plight. Komal rejects the claim "I know my Dad won't tolerate disrespect". Shamu informs them that SS agreed to send Prats to the wedding but she refused to come where her husband or sasural are not invited. Good spin, Prof. saheb! But you forgot the most important part ...she won't go anywhere where Krishna or HER sasural are humiliated. They all look displeased. What else is new! Pareshaan is to Saxes as Hungama is to Takurs. Wonder who is going to turn on the water works right about now! It's Arushi turn to volunteer. She sits besides her pareshaan Paap and cries "Didi is not coming, then there is no meaning to the wedding". Oh really! It's not like you are marrying Prats, as long as the Aman shows up at the wedding you should be thrilled for he is indeed your WHITE in shining armor. "I wont' want to get married" Good idea! Little girl! Call that dude Aman babu and tell him that right away. Neither are you ready nor do you understand what a marriage entails. It's not like refusing to go to your own 10th budday party bec' your sister or best friend couldn't make it. Please grow up first and then think about marriage. Marriage is not kid's play, it's for grown ups. Even Krishna and Prats are taking baby steps and learning about it together. If and when you marry A-Man you may have to learn it all solo 'cos he is going to be busy elsewhere. You obviously have decided to marry him based on his presented persona which might be just an illusion. Arushi makes a plea to her Papa. "It's the most important day of my life. It's important for Didi to be there, always celebrated important days with her".As Forest Gump said "life is like a box of chocolates, you're never know what you're going to get". Well if he can get the message, Arushi so can you! Achcha e batao, what if your didi was overseas, or had an emergency at her sasural does that mean you will call off the wedding bec' she won't attend? She pleads with her father to make Prats come.
Aman walks in and no one sees standing in their home, so engrossed are they in Arushi's gripping notanki performance on their center stage. How come he gets to walk right in anytime of day or night and Prats has to knock on their front' door? It's not like the young Takur couple will loot their home. Another way they discriminate between the Mathurs and Takurs. The list is growing got to keep a running log of it. Aman asks Arushi why she is crying. Does she need a reason? Ok, we'll give you one. She is going to marry you, isn't that valid reason enough? None of them want to tell him why she is crying. Way to go Saxes! Show him his place. You are a tight knit group of pareshaan people. Even if they told you Aman babu, what difference would it make? You'd still wimp out in your father's presence and this whole situation has been created courtesy of Determined Dayal's condition for the wedding. And if it fell apart, he doesn't care two paise about it. So you really stuck with it.
The young Takur girl who is used to flushing things out in the open doesn't stay mum like the rest of the Sax lot. She announces "It' a all bec' of your family. You are getting married but it's like you are carrying the skies on your head. Why are you twirling everyone around your fingers? Aman contains himself after all he's got to keep up with his Mr. Goody Two-Timing Lothario Shoes a secret just a little bit longer before his side dish is revealed to the world and Arushi is legally his bride. It doesn't stop him from leveling a direct accusation at Komal. "It's all not bec' of my family but your father." Komal isn't backing down "If you have a problem with my father or my family why don't you refuse to get married?" Prof. is sitting there nervously looking at Komal wondering if she may cause this alliance to slip through his fingers. Good question Komal! Bring it on! Aman is caught unawares with that statement. There is a reason for him to want this marriage, an unsuspecting kid who has her head in the clouds about love and falls for cheap pick up lines comparing her to chai. 😲 "This has no connection to my marriage. My father has a problem with your family. My wedding is taking place with a respectful family, not SS family". Sure a family that is so immersed in it's pareshaan ways that they are oblivious to any warning flags flying before their eyes or alarms ringing in their ears. Had it been the SS's family they'd have your number by now. "Go ahead get married" Komal flings her words at Aman and leaves the room. There is awkwardness all around, what else is new with the Saxes.
Prats and Krishna are out on the town and they and eating gol gappas. Krishna is happy Prats told she wouldn't go anywhere her husband is not invited in front of the entire family and feeds her a gol gappa. She fed him a ladoo and he fed her spicy gol gappas😳😉😃. He runs to get her a bottle of water. Prats turns back and notices a white car parked in the middle of nowhere. It looks like a man resembling A-MAN. Prats is surprised and approaches the vehicle unsure if the man whose complexion blends with his white car is really Aman. Aman is in the car smiling at the dark haired woman next to him as he runs his fingers through her hair in an intimate gesture. Prats is shocked yet not certain it is SCAM (Squeaky clean/con Aman Mathur).
Just then Krishna arrives with a bottle of water and distracts her. He questions her why she is suddenly so confused. Prats declines a drink of water and when she turns to look again the car had left the area. Krishna asks her to follow him to the car leaving Prats to follow him as she stood questioning to herself if that man in the white car was really Aman with another woman after all. Pratigya detective ban jayeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Ok, Prats it's time to stop going solo and trusting Krishna with the secrets and doubts. He is a fast worker and will flush the rats out in a heartbeat. Trust him to be your partner in this venture too. He roams around town anyways, just tag along with him and the two of you can catch Aman red-handed. Take a camera with you and click some pics so you have proof to back up your story.
Preview: Komal is in a jeep aiming it at Jai Mathur standing straight ahead. What a sight to behold! Got to be a dream scene for Saxes don't own a jeep and SS hasn't given her one. Seems like she is the "mard aurath" of the Sax family.
