i found this article on mid-day. it basically says that at the moment Smriti Irani is suspected for a murder..this is scary cuz if she is the one hu did the murder, she'll go to jail n wunt be able to act in the serial..hope she has nuthin 2 do wid it..

The police summoned actress Smriti Irani (Tulsi Virani of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi) yesterday for questioning after her photograph was found at the residence of Parvez J Patel (75).

The senior citizen was found murdered at his Marine Drive residence on Wednesday.

The photograph of a smiling Irani in a sari, standing between Patel and his second wife, Shilpa, was spotted in the deceased's drawing room by the police.

"We called her to confirm her acquaintance with them," said a senior police officer who did not wish to be named.

Shilpa, one of the accused, is absconding since the murder was discovered.

Irani, dressed in jeans and a kurta, arrived with her lawyer, at the Marine Drive police station yesterday at around 3.30 pm. She was at the police station for 30 minutes.

"She said that she had met the couple at someone's wedding and posed with them for a photograph," said a police official.

"After taking the photo, Shilpa had even asked for an autograph," said the official. She said she had posed with the couple as they were her fans, but did not know them.

The case so far

On the morning of May 18, Parvez J Patel (75), a senior citizen from Marine Drive, was found murdered in his flat at Indus Court building.

Though the police believe that he was murdered two days ago, the body was discovered only after his neighbours complained of foul smell.

Patel who was divorced from his first wife Amy, was staying with his second wife Shilpa.

The flat where he was murdered was a disputed property and is said to be worth Rs 5 crore. On May 10, he had bought another flat at Evershine Enclave, Mira Road (E) by paying Rs 5 lakh.

just bcoz her photograph was found in that man's house, doesn't mean she is the murderer or suspect. c'mon guys, there seems to be no connection of tulsi with the whole story. it must have been a routine police enquiry.
