Dipika Kakar battles infection while undergoing liver cancer treatment; Shoaib Ibrahim shares concern

Television actor Shoaib Ibrahim has given a heartfelt update about his wife, actress Dipika Kakar’s health, who has been battling stage 2 liver cancer. In his latest vlog, Shoaib shared that they recently visited the hospital for her routine check-up and are currently waiting for her blood reports.

“We went to the hospital for blood samples just yesterday. It’s something we have to do every few months. The reports will come tomorrow,” Shoaib said. With visible worry, he added, “It is this time that scares us. I hope, by God’s grace, everything turns out to be fine.” Dipika, sitting beside him, was seen quietly nodding, her expression reflecting a mix of hope and fear.

For those unaware, Dipika was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer a few months ago and has been undergoing treatment since. The Sasural Simar Ka actress had earlier opened up about her diagnosis through her YouTube channel, where she documented her journey, from tumour-removal surgery to chemotherapy sessions.

Dipika and Shoaib have been transparent about their life struggles, regularly updating fans through social media. Their bond, built on love and faith, has been a source of strength for many who follow their journey. The couple, who got married in 2018, are parents to a two-year-old son, Ruhaan.

Recently, Dipika revealed she had caught a viral infection from her son, which became more serious due to her lowered immunity from cancer treatment. Speaking in her vlog, she said,
“Ruhaan se infection mujhe lag gaya. Aur mere case mein infection thoda zyada severe ho gaya kyunki main treatment pe hoon.”

She went on to explain how her doctor immediately prescribed strong antibiotics and anti-allergy medication, which she described as “bohot heavy” for her body.

Despite her fragile health, Dipika continues to stay connected with her audience, often thanking her fans for their constant prayers and love. As Shoaib mentioned, waiting for the medical reports is always the most anxious part of their journey — a phase filled with quiet hope and unspoken fears.
