The Dark Side of Dill Mill Gayye
Dill Mill Gayye is a youth based show, aired on Star One, mon to fri at 8.00pm. It started three years back with Shilpa Anand and Karan Singh Grover as the lead actors. The story revolves around Dr. Riddhima (played by Shilpa Anand) and Dr. Armaan (played by Karan Singh Grover). The show enjoyed its highest trp during its first year. Shilpa Anand, had to leave the show after 9 months. After that this role was played by Sukirti Khandpal, who was yet again replaced by Jennifer Winget.
The downhill journey of DMG (Dill Mill Gayye), started right after Shilpa Anand left the show. The audience could not accept any other actor in her place. There were unlimited demands by the fans to get Shilpa back in the show. Finally, the production house had to give in to the demand and bring Shilpa Anand back after two years. Maybe this was the first in the history of television that an actor was brought back in the same show but as a different character. This time Shilpa was given the role of Dr. Shilpa. The gamble really paid off, and the show was given a new lease of life. Suddenly the trp was on the rise. The audience was ecstatic to have their favorite actor back even though it was in a different avatar. They wanted to see the pair of Karan Singh Grover and Shilpa Anand, regardless of the character played by them. As Dr Riddhima was now married to another man, it was only logical that someone should be brought in to pair with Armaan.
Shilpa was promised that she will be paired opposite Karan Singh Grover, who plays Dr Armaan in the show. The track took off nicely and everyone was enjoying the show once again. The story was leading towards Armaan and Shilpa track, when all of a sudden there was a change. In a single episode, the story took a U turn. Armaan who was clearly shown getting drawn towards Shilpa, turned into an obsessive lover and wanted to get Riddhima back. The absurd fact is,it seemed that the creatives had a clear cut plan and story line, so much so that they showed Riddhima getting married twice to the same man. She is shown to have moved on with her life and even Armaan at that given point of time was doing everything he could to make her happy and show her he has also moved on.
What transpired behind the scenes is clearly visible on the screen. It is believed there was some kind of plotting and planning, whereby, Shilpa's track was sidelined and she was not even being called in for the shoot for days on end. Morals and ethics were given a back seat and complete mockery of the institution of marriage was brought in front of public. Armaan was shown to be getting physical with Riddhima, a twice married woman. Suddenly the character of Dr Shilpa was reduced to nothing but a side actor. Her screen space was reduced to a minimum. People were left wondering what happened to her character. It is also being said that she was subjected to humiliation, as she would wait on the sets for hours without shooting a single scene.
It is apparent that Shilpa Anand has been subjected to grave injustice. She was brought back with a promise of a certain track, and despite the fact that her track was going so well with the audience, it was abruptly stopped. There have been strong rumors that her co actors have been a part of this conspiracy along with the creatives of the show. It is also being said that these co actors wanted the Armaan Riddhima track and the creatives go along with these whims and fancies. In all this drama, the only person who has suffered is Shilpa Anand, who is an amazing actor. In a short span of three months the audience got to see her versatile talent as an actor and as a dancer. Any objective viewer can see that some game is being played behind the scenes, otherwise how a sudden can and a radical change take place in a story which was going so well with the audience. And it is obvious to anyone that Shilpa Anand became the victim of this conspiracy.
The point is, if the creatives had to do this then why did they get her back? Why did they show Riddhima getting remarried? Why did they show Armaan getting drawn towards Shilpa. All these facts go on to suggest that there has been foul play behind the scenes. The general audience is still at a loss. They are wondering what happened to a logical story which has been replaced by a most illogical and unethical story line which is against Indian values and norms of our society.

becos this show doesnot care abt the audince but creatives care only abt the whims and fancies of the actors
was this show meant to entertain viewers or please the actors who know nothing except giving repeated expression,crying , going shirtless in every week
