He moves forward, she backs away. (AR)

Since AR have separated, it's been so long since we have seen a proper hug. I've lost count on how many times Armaan has moved forward to hug Ridhima while she has backed away in the past one year.





It's really strange because most of the AR fans would agree that between the two it is definitely Armaan who craves more for some physical comfort and affection. So obviously he would be the one to get affected more if they ended up hugging. But on the contrary, it is always Ridhima who backs away which goes on to imply her weakness due to Armaan's physical proximity. She reacts as if she won't be able to complete what she's saying or might just melt and change her mind about the whole situation.

I just found it really interesting since I always thought Armaan won't be able to cope and let go of her if he ended up hugging her. But the actual truth might be that hugging her would probably give him more strength to move away and start again. While it is definitely the complete opposite for Ridhima.

I guess some things will never change despite the depth of their love! And you're absolutely right, Riddhima does find it difficult to compose herself when there's a tight proximity between the two.

I loved the outburst, that hug might have just reassured Riddhima that Armaan doesn't do things intentionally, there's always a reason behind the big step!

Because Armaan always has his heart on his sleeve, we know what he's thinking. We know how much he loves Riddhima and what exactly he feels about her. He's always been vocal about it and I love that about him.

Riddhima on the other hand, sometimes I feel she can't maintain her composure in front of Armaan because she knows he does something to her which no-one else can. She doesn't like the fact that there is someone who has so much control over her mind, heart and soul. If she went in to that hug then she knows it would be really hard to get out of it.

Remember how she always went in a trance in the fire escape scenes whenever he surrounded her. Her feelings don't stay within her control when Armaan is near her. Everytime Armaan appears in front of her, her body language becomes erect as if she has to put herself on guard.

Riddhima melts down when Armaan is near...we saw this all through.

Just adding to what others have said. If Armaan is in proximity with Riddhima, he will know how to control himself but Riddhima won't be able to and thats what she's worried about. A traditional girl like her may end up breaking the rules which goes against what she's always stood for.

@bold: Very true. Although in the fire escape scenes she always seemed to lose her composure, it was never completely to the point where she gave in. It makes me wonder whether a hug can completely take her in and do the trick.

Ah, the angst..

I am unable to agree to the fact that after all this Armaan trying to keep away from Ridhimma still went for a hug and rudely again she refused. Hated that she broke his heart ultimately yenth time..What would it have costed you Ridhimma had you completed the hug ? Hated that she didn't lose herself even now after knowing he is there for her and only for her.

For Armaan it is his confidence..if he is going to do this to her he knows that she would just melt on his warmth and she could not breathe, she could not tear herself out from his powerful hug.

@bold: I feel like killing her everytime she does that to Armaan. I mean how much more are you going to hurt him😔
