Shamu and family minus Arushi and Dadi land at the police station to face the culprit who caused Adarsh's accident. Saxes are shocked to see Jai in the holding cell. Shamu true to character, immediately goes into denial and argues that Jai can't be the man behind the wheel of the car that ran into Adarsh. The inspector behind the desk assures them "the IG himself asked us to lock him up and the lad confessed to the crime, there is no mistake". Giving vent to her fury Komal flings her slippers at Jai and bham!..she connects. Just then Krishna walks in and handles an out of control Komal. Baba has picked up on Prats's vocabulary "shanth ho jao" he tells a Komal who is hopping mad like a cat on a hot tin roof. Shamu approaches the Inspector again "We'd like to withdraw the case. We are working class people we can't afford to spend time between police station and courts daily". Tho E baat hai, Prof. Shamu? Is that the truth and nothing but the truth so help you God? Where were these very sentiments when you checked yourself into the "thane" months ago to cover up the truth about Prats's kidnapping? You wasted taxpayer money and failed to consider these very excuses back then and today you are singing a whole new tune, chakkar kya hai Professor saheb? Of course! You can't let go of your last chance at having one educated person marry one of your children. Aman volunteered to marry Arushi, so how can you let it go. Where is that Aman babu now? He didn't hesitate to stop on the street and make a tamaasha of Krishna's attempts to capture a thief. Today his brother is behind bars for a felony crime of hit and run and he is hiding at home instead of stepping up for his brother? Nice going dude! Saxes you are going to rue the day you let Jai Bro go free. Even Prats thought it was a crime that had to be punished. Prof. your bias is shining like the morning sun, blinding you to the double standards and hypocrisy you showed today. Are you really qualified to teach young people of today to face the real world with your flip-flopping behavior today. This calls for an advance flood warning for the Mumfordguj area.
Prats steps up to Prof. "what are you doing Papa, if he has committed a crime he has to punished for it". Inspector tells Prof. "it's not possible, he was driving without a license". Adarsh cuts in "I can tell you he is not the culprit, the man was older and stopped to look at me before he left so I am not making a mistake in identifying him. Some sachchai ka saath denewala you are! Unbelievable Adarsh Babu! You can actually lie through your teeth without blinking. Wah! like father like son. You must subscribe to the belief "tell a thousand lies to get a girl married". I guess you want to let Jai off the hook for you are guilty of a few crimes of your own. Komal is furious " you are going to let him off the hook without punishment just like that, of course, it's him". Krishna pointing to Adarsh reminds her "he's the one who had the accident how would you know ?" That shuts Komal up. Adarsh asks the police to let Jai go after taking his statement. Jai is a free bird let out of his cage. Why does it feel like this kid is not going to stay out of trouble? Count on Saxes to face the music when this teen brat gets into trouble yet again. This is the same kid who swiped some money off a wallet and sneaked off in the middle of the night with a pair of car keys all this after knowing he had hit a man with his car and fled the scene without aiding a bleeding man on the street or an ounce of remorse and lack of conscience since the accident.He has bragged to his friends about how he was going to get away with it.
IG tells Mummy Mathur to stop the rona dhona. "Your son hit someone with his car and could have ruined the man's life that too knowing fully well he's neither fit nor does he have a license to drive a car. Mummy Mathur tells IG still in tears " I don't question or condemn your actions, I am a mother and concerned for my son who is now in custody. You did the right thing, I have no complaint against you." Spoken like a good wife. Aman questions his father about believing SS's story. IG dares him "You doubt the methods I execute my job?" You think I did this to my son without finding out the facts? The reason for his mistake is you people have spoiled him rotten that in spite of being my son he had such courage he thought he could get away with doing such a thing right under my nose. Listen to me carefully, people like SS will try to take advantage of such kartooth of my son's actions, play with the law, I will not agree to let that happen at any cost". Words of warning! Gaurav seated not too far away overhearing the family conversation chimes in sarcastically addressing Aman with his parents still present "how is it his fault, we make the mistakes in the name of humanity and he is God and does God make a mistake?" IG Mathur asks Aman to keep an eye on his mother as she is worried. Was this a hint that Jai Bro was going to need a lawyer once SS has something to add to the mix.
The entire Sax family arrive at Mathur's mansion. Prats wants Krishna to go in but he tells her he won't bec' he could run the Mathurs out of their own home if he lost his temper. Honest Baba! Good thing you didnt' go in after the lies they started at the police station. You would have exploded. "After the way they insulted my father you want me you go in there? If it's necessary for you to go, go on, don't worry about me". Prats tries to coax Krishna into going in again and he loses his cool. Prats, learn to let him be if he doesn't want to go in. He doesn't have to do your bidding all the time. Let him grow up and make his own choices, stop treating him like a child if you want him to become a responsible husband and man soon.
Prof. walks into the Mathur home with his family. IG is surprised "He (Jai) was supposed to be in jail. Prof. explains "I got him out of there and brought him back" IG challenges Shamu "How can you do this? He committed a big crime. He must be punished for his crime. You made a big mistake getting him released. You know that supporting a criminal is a big crime. One more point, I do not compromise in the name of relationships". There is your hint Shamu. The IG just laid the ground rules to you. If and when you need him to step in to save your family in the future it aint' gonna happen, so don't go crying to him. He plays by his rules so be prepared for more hungama in your lives. "He didn't just hit Adarsh with the car, he left him lying on the roadside to die and ran away". Wait a minute here! Who's son was the victim in the accident here? Prof. responds "I agree with your every point. But Jai did was not a crime it was a mistake, it just happened. You arrested him and fulfilled your duty. We have a duty too to do something on our behalf for being our relative. Translated: Thank you for still being willing to take my daughter off my hands. We will give Jai chance to change. Nainaji adds her two cents worth in agreement "He is right whatever happened we have to forget. Now we have formed a relationship between our two families. It's in our best interest to forget all this. We don't see any difference in Adarsh and Jai. So how can we see Jai in jail". Prats who had been listening in quietly finally questioned "But isn't it the truth that Jai is responsible for Adarsh's accident, you are forgiving him and covering up his mistakes which could be detrimental in the future" much to the discomfort of Shamu, Nainaji and Adarsh while IG recognized someone with his point of view from the other side. Me thinks IG may take a liking to Kriya one of these days. Nainaji shuts Prats down reminding her she is standing in her sister's sasural's home. Komal picks up where Prats left off. "This matter will not be a problem to you people. "Jai's is responsible for causing my husband a lot of pain and by extension pain to me therefore I will not forgive Jai". Talk about keeping it plain and simple and getting right to the point."What is surprising to me is how is it that the very people who talk law, order and rules all morning and evening have today bec' it involves their daughter have forgotten all the laws and rules?" LALLANTOP LINES, you go girl! Saxes are at a loss for words for Komal has laid bare the Saxes' hypocrisy for the Mathurs to see. Komal is doing a brilliant job of exposing the family modus operandi. IG Mathur is paying close attention to how things are playing out. Nainaji tells Komal to shut up as well. Yeah, why wouldn't she when the family's ulterior motive? Was all this in lieu of wedding gifts? The truth can never be supressed. This is a lesson that the Saxes have had to learn for a long time but refuse to face up to it. Someday they will along with their double standards!
Aman babu, did you have laryngitis or did you decide today is your self-imposed mouna vrath day. For all the hoopla and macho attitude and the pubic spectacle you made on the streets of Allahabad where was your sense of justice tonight? Was it out of reverence for your Papa Mathur that you decided to keep quite or does your case to defend your bratty brother have no leg to stand on. Ever heard "charity begins at home? First do something about setting your little brother straight before you take on the men you perceive to be the bad boys in town😕. Adarsh wants to forget what Jai did. It was not going to reverse what happened. He feels helpless and strange, and how does raising a hue and cry about it really help. "I don't want to punish Jai but just give him another chance". What a sacrificial lamb he turns into for the sake of his sisters😕.
Let's just hope Adarsh babu, that you have no opportunity to regret your choice in the coming months. You Saxes are a magnet for regrettable choices in your lives. He may dare to do something worse next time for he has gotten away with this prank for which he has shown not an ounce of regret. Let's just hope you don't regret your choice and start flooding Mumfordgunj. This brat is well on his way to becoming a juvenile delinquent. Just be prepared for the day when you may have to cry a river for giving him this chance. Even his Dad thinks he deserves punishment What he needs is tough love, could serve him well. Adarsh addresses IG "What you are saying is right but you can't take away our right to forgive, can you? How wonderful to see the Saxes being such a forgiving lot today? Where was this magnanimity of spirit where Krishna was concerned? He was in love with Prats. Neither Aman or Arushi are in love and they get a free pass bec' Aman came with the certificate of approval ....a college degree to boot. Saxes you are at your hypocritical best. IG Mathur speaks to Jai "Your fate must be good that none of them wants to punish you for your actions. You should have to wash Adarsh's feet and drink the water". Is this some ritual in Allahabad as a sign of repentence for one's actions? The unpud unruly Takurs hand out the same punishment that the educated Mathurs hand out. Did SS learn this form of punishment from the police who did his bidding. Prats looks on silently at her father. Was this the first crack in the father-daughter bond with the look of disappointment on Prat's face as she looks at her Papa. Prats may finally move out ofher father's shadow and carry on with her life with Krishna.
Outside the Mathur residence, Prof. is unable to look Prats in the eyes. He has let his daughter down. His failure to live up to his principles and after the years of giving his righteous speeches from his pulpit his daughter has stripped his mask of living a life of double standards. Don't you worry Prats the day will soon be here when your father will no longer be the hero in your eyes but just another fallible human being like the rest of us. His double standards will hit home when you see the way Arushi and her inlaws get the red carpet treatment while Krishna even if not your inlaws get shunted to the side like pariahs time and again. Your husband is yet to be served a cuppa chai at your maike. Some family, eh😛! Today marks the first crack in the egg leading to the freedom of the chicken. Prats takes another opportunity to voice her dissension "Adarsh you don't think by not punishing Jai for his actions you didn't do the right thing?" Nainaji in denial wants to sweep it all under the rug. "Think before you speak" she warns Prats. Why Nainaji? Is Prats hitting a bullseye with her statement and you'd rather be in denial of the truth. Sachchai ka saat dene wala? My fo*t..Prof. wants to know what Prats has to say. Prats obliges "just that if Jai did something wrong then he must be punished. Today Adarsh escaped and he got away without punishment. What happens the day he is a repeat offender and someone else's life is taken. By not punishing him you have given him given him the strength to do something worse the next time I am very sad that my family has also become weak in the name of relationships". Excellent point, Prats. You get the LALLANTOP👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 for that reminder. Wonder if Saxes let Jai off the hook in lieu of a few wedding gifts. Prof. tries to justify his choice that in the bigger scheme of things by not punishing Jai they have given him a chance to redeem himself and not commit these crimes again. Prof. Shamu not every son is like your Adarsh who tows the line. Even then someone like him snapped on two occasions and attacked other men in the name of protecting his sisters. Do you really believe that an unremorseful spoiled brat like Jai who bragged to his friends and thought he was untouchable by the police or anyone else for that matter was going to somehow become a reformed citizen overnight especially without a few slip ups.? He is still a teen with raging hormones and poor questionable judgment. Just pray you don't have to face the day when you regret your decision and flood your neighborhood in repentance.
Krishna returns and tells SS that Prats has gone to Arushi's sasural. Enraged, SS bitingly challenges Krishna why she has gone there as KN listens with intent interest. Frustrated with SS's demand for the full story Krishna gives it to him in a nutshell "Arushi's devar hit Adarsh with a car. Police arrested him, Adarsh was called and went to the police station and said Jai was not the man who hit him. They revoked the case and they took Arushi's devar to his home. Prats went with the rest of the family. End of story!" Well done Baba! 👏 SS looks like a mad lion ready to unleash the next level of his plan for revenge. Well if the Saxes thought their problems had been resolved they need to splash some cold water on their faces and wake up. They should realize that someone like SS doesn't take the insult lying down and waiting for someone to run a bulldozer over them. Takurs will come back fighting and use dirty tricks and wouldn't hesitate to misuse Jai's naivete or stupidity as the case may be to avert the law and get away with their crimes. Dayal Mathur had judged SS's intentions right on. He was a Police Commissioner after all.
Clarification Needed: POPs please clarify if Sarveswar Dayal Mathur is the PC of Allahabad of IG of the entire state. The two titles are being used rather freely and we know that the duties that it entails are different.
Preview: Komal shocks the entire Sax family with the blockbuster bulletin when Nainaji tries to calm her down offering a glass of water "I don't want to drink the water, I am not going to be a mother". This was after she laid into Prats for attempting to help the family. She is clearly marking her rights as the bahu of the family. Komal is on the warpath for revenge pretty much aligned with her bauji at this point. With Diwali approaching fireworks of grand proportions are sure to be seen on the show in the coming weeks. Who will be the casualty and what will be the fallout from this situation is anyone's guess.
