Ae zindagi gale laga le is such a beautiful composition, it builds rhythm over hi cat symbol & bass guitar , beautiful strings and it all got killed by track as every thing was made up on keyboards, urghhh, jo karna hai karo aise gaano ko banksh do.

exactly, the tracks killed the song.

same with naina thag lenge, missed beats, rhythm etc etc

The best thing about Ranjit is his passion for ghazal, which as single determinant can make & break your career.

If he works hard and suro ko aur pucca kar le, he will be a pleasure to watch with him growing beyond voice-break.

The problem is that Ghazal (meaning poetry about love but involves pain, separation mostly) is sung by v trained vocals like Ghula Ali, Jagjit and we naturally compare his gayaki to them where he doesn't stand a chance unless he out shines them.

Frankly speaking best performances were given by Khurram and Kamal. The problem with Kamal is that VS are overhyping him, which isn't sitting well with you guys.

He is a damn good singer, but ya he is being overhyped just like Himesh would have done if Kamal was in his gharana.

Kamal was better than others..Ranjeet was good though again he sang in his comfort zone. The only problem with him is his voice quality; its kind of too husky/sharp for ghazal singing.. Rest all mediocre performances..Nakul's performance was not upto the mark..His words were not clear and he missed sur also. Sugandha's voice was so frail, it was not at all clear..I missed half of Abhilasha's performance, so can't comment. Khurram's performance was one of his better performances till now. Sniti seemed nervous. I dont know whats wrong with her, perhaps the choice of such songs make her nervous. Fareed also missed sur. Ali sher was just ok.
