Part 6 Finale : Waapis Aaogi Na

Dr tells the family that, "Bhaao ne meri baat puri suni nahi, magar unki patni coma mein chali gayi hain! Ab usse woh waapis aa bhi sakti hain, aur shaayad kabhie waapis naa paaein!I am sorry, Meine apni taraf se bahut koshish ki."
DP, Baaji, Kishore and Roops cry. They run towards the room!
AS, Kala and Leela are in intial shock! Kala then gives her evil smile. "Jo chaaha, usse bhi zyaada diyya...Aaj toh mein bhi kehti hoon, Jagdambe Jagdambe"

Dutta sits aghast near Naku when everyone enters and crowd him. Baaji informs Dutta that Naku was in a vegetable state now and her chances of revival were as good as nil! Dutta gets angry at the last words, "Meri saansein chal rahi hai na? Toh Naku bhi zinda hai aur woh mere paas aayegi!", saying this he throws everyone out. He closes the door and then comes near Naku. Looks at her for a long time and then suddenly, the tears start rolling from his face and he falls down beside Naku, envelopes her in his arms. Both lie together.
After some time, Dutta lifts his face and looks at Naku. He moves his hand on her cheeks!
"Tere bina mein kuch nahi Naku! Mere se achcha yeh tu jaanti hai! Yeh anjaam nahi ho saktaa humaare pyaar ka!"
He sees the pendant that Naku was wearing on her neck, his anniversary gift that she kept close to her heart! He remembers the night before the anniversary, when the last time they had become one, the day she had wondered what would be that one thing, that could actually separate them, the inseparable couple? A chill runs down the spine. That day they could think of absolutely nothing that could separate them but both of them didnt know that precisely after a week, that one thing would have occured that would separate them forever! He remembers her speaking, "Itnaa dur mat bhej denaa mujhe, ki mein aana chahoon bhi toh nahi aa paaoon!Mar jaayegi mein!"
Dutta weeps on the pillow, "Mein tujhe kuch nahi hone doonga Naku. Mujhe bahut pyaar karti hai na, toh mere liye tujhe waapis aana padegaa"...Meine jab kaha tha mujhse door chale jaa, tab toh gayi nahi, toh ab kaise jaa sakti hai?"
He cries on her shoulder, "Humaara kahaani yahaan toh nahi khatam ho sakti na Naku..."
He goes on, "Tujhe yaad hai, shaadi se pehle ek waada kiyaa tha meine - (Guys, this is from my previous OS) Dutta remembers his vow to Naku-
"Mein tere ko yeh waada toh nahi karta ki tere har pal khushi se bhar doonga, par yeh waada karta hoon, ki tere har pal mei mein hoongaa...
Mein tere se yeh waada toh nahi karta ki tere aankhon mein kabhie aansoon nahi aane doonga, par yeh waada karta hoon ki tere har aansoon ko pochne ke liye mein hoongaa...
Mein tere se yeh waada toh nahi karta ki mein tere se jhagdoongaa nahi, par yeh waada karta hoon ki jab tu apni nazar uthaayegi to tere ko manaane ke liye mein hoonga..." - yeh waada, kyaa akele mera tha?? tu thi shaamil is waade mein...Yeh hum dono ka waada tha yeh...Kaise mujhe mazdhaar mein chod ke jaa sakti hai Naku? Tu jhooti toh kabhie nahi thi!"

"Jab humaare har pal mein sirf hum the, toh mein akelaa kaise jeeyegaa?
Jab subaah ki pehli kiran humaari ek saath thi, toh ab mein kaise uthegaa?
Jab mere bharose kaa naam hee tu hai, toh kaise yeh zindagi kaa aehsaas karegaa?
Jab jeene ki aadat hee tujhse hai, toh yeh Dutta akelaa maregaa bhi kaise? Bol Naku, Bol?"
Dutta takes her head and places it on his laps,"Mere paas aa jaa Naku...tu hogi toh zindagi ka har kadvaa sach mein saamnaa karegaa...Jitne dhoke,jitne sach phekegi yeh zindagi, sab kuch sahegaa!!...Bus, Tu aaja...Nahi toh kissi bhi sach ka koi matlab nahi hai...Tu hi meri zindagi ki ek ananth sach hai, sab se pavitra sach!
"Tu toh boli thi na, ki Naku apne saab ko chod ke kabhie nahi jaa sakti? Tu apnaa waada nahi tod sakti Naku! Suna tune, Mein tujhe yeh waada todne nahi degaa!" He again envelopes her in his arms and cries!

Dutta goes apprehensively where DP has been sitting in the hospital. He goes near DP. DP turns his face to look at him. DP had not left the hospital since Naku was admitted. 10 days had passed and Naku's condition remained unchanged. Everyone ignored him but he still didnt leave the hospital! Dutta fiddles with his ring for a long time and then sits down beside DP, a chair distance from him. He hesitates but then finally speaks up, a little sternness and a little softness in his voice! "Naku chahti thi ki mein aap se ek baar mil loon....Aaj uske liye, mein yeh bhi karegaa".
Dutta keeps gazing at the floor. DP's eyes wells up, he tries to touch Dutta, but Dutta moves away from DP, increasing the distance between the two, "Aapko ehsaas hai ki mein yahaan khadaa nahi ho paa raha hoon? wahaan Naku ki saasein chal rahi hain, aur isliye yahaan mera dil mujhe aapke paas bethne ke liye majboor kar raha hai?"
DP nods in head, tears flowing from his eyes, "Jaantaa hoon mein. Jaadugar hain na woh!"
Dutta turns to look at DP, Eyes welling up! He stares at him for a minute and with a nod, gets up and leaves!

While going back to Naku's room,Baaji stops Dutta, "Bhaao, Nakuu..."...Dutta nods and
...then suddenly his eyes flash with anger, "Baaji, Jhumri ko mein..."...Baaji nods his head, "Tu phikar nako kar! Uska Intezaam meine kar diyaa hai. Aaj ke baad, kissi ko nahi pata hogaa ki Jhumri naam ki koi ladki bhi thi."
Dutta nods and goes back to Naku's room.
...then suddenly his eyes flash with anger, "Baaji, Jhumri ko mein..."...Baaji nods his head, "Tu phikar nako kar! Uska Intezaam meine kar diyaa hai. Aaj ke baad, kissi ko nahi pata hogaa ki Jhumri naam ki koi ladki bhi thi."
Dutta nods and goes back to Naku's room.

Kala enters the ICU room and sees Dutta holding Naku's hand and just staring at her! She gives a smirk, straigtens her face, sheds crocodile tears to wet her eyes and goes to Dutta and touches his shoulder from behind, "Bhaao! Humari Vehni..." She stops and sheds few more crocodile tears! Dutta doesnt react but keeps looking at Naku. Kala goes on, "Bhaao, Mein jaanti hai Naku ne Aayi ke liye bahoot buraa bolaa par hai toh humaari vehni hi naa."..
Dutta closes his eyes to hide his frustration and without looking at her asks her angrily, "Aayi, Aur naatak nahi! Bus kar ab!"...Kala is shocked and removes her hand from his shoulder!, "Bhaao! Tu kya bol raha hai?"
Dutta keeps looking at Naku, "Taayi, Mein samajh saktaa hai ki Jhumri kahaan se aayi. Manaa math karnaa, Jhooth mujhse bardaasht nahi hai". A warning clings in his tone.
"Aakhri baar jab Naku ne mujhe dekhaa...". Dutta chokes for a second, Naku's questioning eyes, while falling down the stairs, comes in front of his eyes, he closes his eyes and continues, "Un aankhon ne mujhe sab bataa diyaa."
Dutta keeps looking at Naku, "Taayi, Mein samajh saktaa hai ki Jhumri kahaan se aayi. Manaa math karnaa, Jhooth mujhse bardaasht nahi hai". A warning clings in his tone.

Dutta clenches Naku's hand, "Bus Taayi, aur kitnaa girogee?" He caresses Naku's hand, "Bahut imtihaan de liye isnee, ab yeh koi imtihaan nahi degi...Ab mere imtihaan ki baari hai!"
Kala doesnt give up, "Par, Tu hee toh Naku ko apni zindagi se nikaalnaa chahtaa tha?"
Dutta, "Apne pyaar ke saath khelne ki iggaazat mein kissi ko nahi dee"
Kala - "Apne Bhaao ke liye meine aisaa kiyaa"
Dutta - "Pyaar? Tu kyaa jaanti hai Pyaar Taayi? Tere paas Naku nahi hai na. Naku mere ko dikhaayi pyaar kya hotaa hai. Ek yehi thi jo mere daant ne par bhi mujhse kabhie nahi roothi! Ek yehi thi, jo mere bolne par bhi, ki chali jaa, mujhe chod ke nahi gayi...Aap toh binaa bole bhi chod ke chali gayi thi na?"
Kala doesnt give up, "Par, Tu hee toh Naku ko apni zindagi se nikaalnaa chahtaa tha?"

Dutta - "Mein jaanta hai ki yeh mujhe, mujhse zyaada jaanti hai...", His eyes well up seeing Naku, "..bus thodi der ke liye bhool gaya tha! Lekin ab nahi! Mein sach toh nahi jaantaa par mein ab apne pyaar par bharosaa karke dikhaaongaa."
Kala gets on the edge and in fit of desperation, tells Dutta, "Humaari Aayi ke khilaaf bolne waaloan ko hum kaise maaf karde? Bhool gaya Aayi saheb ki tyaag aur tapasyaa? Hum sab ke upar, apne se pehle, tere ko rakhaa, Tu kaise bhool saktaa hai?"
Dutta tries controlling his anger, "Mein kuch nahi bhool Aayi, KUCH BHI NAHI, Na Naku ka Pyaar, aur na Aayi ka tyaag!"
Kala then tries deepening his wound, "Toh tu Naku ko kaise maaf kar saktaa hai? Usse dekhti hoon, toh AS ka rotta chehraa saamne aata hai mere!"
Dutta raises his hand to stop Taayi from speaking, "Bus Taayi. Mujhe sab yaad hai! aur Isliye meine ek faislaa kiyaa hai!" Saying this, he takes Naku's hand and drops his head on the bed! Kala gets the signal and walks out of the room in anger!

Dutta opens the box to take out Karaanji from it. He gives one to Naku, "Tere se achcha toh koi nahi bana saktaa."...he tries placing it in her hand but NAKU's hand remains lifeless...Dutta sits down and looks at Naku angrily, "Theek hai, mein bhi nahi khayegaa!" He closes the box and keeps it on the table. He gives her an angry stare and then suddenly the tears start flowing from his eyes. DP enters the room silently and watches Dutta's desperation,"Aankh khol Naku..."...His anger suddenly transforms into an emotional burst!
"Teri uss nazar ke liye hee, mein subah uthtaa tha
Teri uss nazar ke liye hee, raat ka har pal rokke rakhtaa tha
Teri uss nazar se hee, mere andar ka toofan shanth hotaa tha
Teri uss nazar se hee, poori duniyaa dektaa tha
Lekin teri nazar ke binaa toh, mein hee nazar nahi aata Naku!"
He takes her hand again and looks at it, "Sab dhoondhlaa hai aaj..." He cries and cries and cries, "Mat jaa!"...He drops his head on her bed!
DP comes from behind and sits beside him, eyes moist with concern. Dutta lifts his head, sees DP and hugs him in the state of desperation, "Yeh aankh Kyun nahi kholti!!"..He cries desperately..."Yeh bahut gandi hai Baba! Mein ro raha hoon lekin iss par koi asar nahi hotaa! Mere aansoon se pehle yeh mere paas hoti thi...Toh aaj kaise yeh in aansooan ko girne de sakti hai?"
DP keeps pating Dutta, not able to bear his aghast state. "Bhagwaan tere saath buraa nahi karegaa Dutta."
Dutta keeps crying on his shoulder, "Meri Naku waapis kar do...har cheeze maaf kar doonga mein..." After some time, he sniffs and again talks, "Baba, aapko pata hai, puri zindagi, woh sirf meraa dookh jee...Uskaa dookh kya tha, usse toh mein hameshaa anjaan hee raha! Itnaa zyaada dookh samet lee apne andar - Meraa aur apnaa! Kaise Baba? Kaise ki woh?"
DP consoles Dutta, "Baapa ne usko badaa aanchal diyaa Dutta! Isliye tere paas bheje, jisse ki teraa bhi dookh usmein samet le woh! Aisee nahi chod ke jaayegi woh...Uskaa kaam puraa nahi huaa hai!"
Dutta and DP hug and cry!

Dutta enters the PN hallway, hands folded behind him. Everyone is gathered around him, skepticism in the air! Dutta gives a once over to each one of them and then fixes his gaze at the opposite wall. He sighs and then speaks up, "Aaj mujhe aap logoan se kuch kehnaa hai! Ek faislaa sunaana hai."
He looks at everyone for a second and then continues, "Naku aaj aspataal mein hai! Kiss ki galti hai, kiss ki nahi, mujhe nahi padnaa ismein, mujhe sirf meri galti maaloom hai. Aayi Saheb ya meri behnoan ke saath jo hua, usmein meri nahi toh mere khoon ki galti thi, Naku ke saath jo hua, usmein bhi meri galti thi. Jis pyaar ne mujhe dekhnaa sikhaaya, usse hee aankh moond ke beithaa tha. Agar aap logoan ke aehsaan hai mujh par toh Naku ke pyaar ka dia bhi hai! Bus kuch pal ke liye apne aap ko usmein dekhnaa bhool gaya tha!"
Dutta stares in front of him, lost in his thought. He then blinks and looks at the family again. "Meri poori zindagi mein galtiyaan mujhse jaane anjaane joodti chali gayi, aur mein unkaa bojh letaa chala gaya! Iss sab ka asar aap ki zindagi par bhi hua! Aaj aake aise chauraahe par khadaa ho gaya hoon, jahaan mein uss bojh ko leke, aage nahi chal saktaa.Aur aaj mujhe apne pyaar aur us bojh ke beech ek ko chun naa hai. "
He looks at each one of them intently, "Mein nahi jaanta kaun sahi hai aur kaun nahi, aur naa mujhe koi saboot dekhnaa hai. Meri zindagi ka sabse badaa saboot, aaj aspataal mein hai. Naku meraa aainaa hai, bhool gaya tha apne aap ko dekhnaa usmein, par ab sab saaf dikhaayi de raha hai. Kissi saboot ki bhi zaroorat nahi hai mujhe. Isliye meine yeh faislaa kiyaa hai." He looks at everyone then at the roof, "ki mein Naku ke saath, yahaan se hameshaa hameshaa ke liye, chala jaaongaa. Mere rishtoan ya mere khoon ki galtiyaan ab Naku nahi bhooktegi. Ab woh meraa dookh nahi jeeyegi."
He goes on, "Mein aap mein se kissi ko sazaa nahi doonga, naa ilzaam lagaaoongaa. Thak gaya hoon bahut! Ab nahi rahi shakti kissi bhi cheez ki wajaah pata lagaane ki. Jo bhi wajaah rahi ho, mein yeh nahi bhool saktaa ki aap logoan ne mujhe badaa kiyaa hai. Ab bus apne ko sametnaa chahtaa hoon, isliye yeh sab kuch aap logoan ke hawaale kar ke, Naku aur mein yahaan se jaa rahe hain, apni alag duniyaa basaane." He then looks gives a warning glance to everyone,"Aaj ke baad, Naku ke liye hee jeeyoongaa mein. Uske upar uthne waali har galat nazar ko mere se guzarnaa padegaa."
He folds his hand in front of everyone, "Ho sake toh Naku aur mujhe, chahi, anchaahi baatoen ke liye maaf kar dijiyegaa!"
He gives one last look over to everyone and turns to leave. He stops near DP, gaze still straight ahead, "Aap chahetein hai toh..." He hesitates, "humaare saath aa sakte hain. Mein jaanta hoon, agar aaj Naku yahaan hoti, toh woh yehi chahtee. Aapki zindagi ke bache pal agar aap humaare saath beetayenge, toh...(he pauses before the next word), HUME achcha lagegaa". Everyone looks at them shocked. DP gets emotional and is not able to say anything.
Dutta walks on when he hears a voice from behind, "Bhaao, tu apne laxman ko yahaan chod ke jaayegaa?" Baaji goes and stands with Dutta, "Jahaan Ram aur Sita, wahaan hai Laxman ki asli jagah." Dutta turns, looks at Baaji for a second and then with an emotional smile playing on his lips, he gives a whack to Baaji. They both hug each other. Dutta disengages self and tells Baaji, "Baaji, Mein chahtaa hoon, ki Naku jab bhi apni aankh khole, toh apne ghar mein khole, jahaan sirf pyaar ho, koi chal nahi." Baaji, with tears in his eyes, assures Dutta, "Abhi ghar ki line lagaata hoon. Humaare ghar ki!". Baaji and Dutta leave, Roops follows both of them.

Dutta opens the door gradually and sees the comatose Naku lying on the bed! He just stands at the edge of the bed and stairs at her for a long time, "Aaj bhi yeh chehraa mujhe sukoon detaa hai." He keeps looking at her, her every compromise, sacrifice, love, words, action, emotion, tear and smile moving in circles in front of him. He was standing there and gathering strength from his memories. He slowly enters the room and closes the door behind him. He sits down beside her, takes her hand in his and leans on her hand. The time was lost. Dutta remained lost for a long time then gradually he lifts his face and keeps staring at her intensely.
He gulps his unshed tears, presses her hand and says,
"Mere har apnoan se apni ab tu hogi, Meri har zooban ki dooa mein ab tu hogi,
Meri har khushi se pehle ab tu hogi, Tere har ghum se pehle ab mein hoonga,
Meraa har din ab tujhse shuru hogaa, meri har raat ab tujhe dekh ke khatam hogi,
Ab toh duniyaa hee tujhse hogi, aur woh aakhri pal, ab tere naam hogaa,"
He gulps his unshed tears, presses her hand and says,

He wipes the tear that flows from his eyes,
"Ab toh teraa hee intezaar hogaa, aur Ab teri hi aas hogi"
"Ab toh teraa hee intezaar hogaa, aur Ab teri hi aas hogi"
He sighs deeply, leaves her hand and holds her face, "Waapis Aaogi na?"
