She returned to Mumbai after two months in Spain and then the Zoya Akhtar unit of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara left for a short shoot to Cairo.
Like most of her A-list colleagues, Katrina sometimes has her family fly over to be with her (and she does have a large brood of siblings), besides the fact that her crammed schedules make her change her ticket every hour. When it's a first class international ticket that's changed many times over and there is a large contingent of family visiting her on location, you can imagine how dizzy her bills with the travel agent must be.
Bringing her sisters over from London to Spain itself meant a huge tab of more than '10 lakh. Or, cancelling and re-booking her ticket to Cairo several times also added zeroes against her name. But the travel agent handling most filmland tickets had no fret lines.
Because Katrina Kaif maintains an absolutely clean accounts book. Every time any of her family members fly anywhere in the world to meet her, she makes sure that the travel bills are all sent to her office. The days when top heroines cheaply let the producers pick up their bills are long over with Katrina's office settling all her bills with professional promptness.
Kat has a clear understanding with the travel agency handling any of her film work. 'Minus whatever's the production budget for my ticket and send the rest of the bill to me.' Kat gives no excuses to delay any payment because she doesn't even have to be around. Her manager, Reshma Shetty, has been authorised to sign cheques on her behalf. So whether Kat is in town or not, her bills are always paid on time.
Do you still wonder why she's such a hit with her producers?
