The latest buzz has it that Salman Khan, who had initially agreed to play the lead in the Hindi remake of Mahesh Manjrekar's Marathi hit Shikshanacha Aayi Cha Gho, has opted out of it.
Our source said, "After the success of Dabangg, Salman is being extra cautious. He is seriously rethinking about some films that he had said yes to before Dabangg hit the theatres."
Apparently, the Hindi remake of Shikshanacha Aayi Cha Gho requires Salman to play a father of two kids and the actor is wary about that. "Salman does not want to mess with his image after Dabangg's success. So the Marathi remake is on hold for the time being," said our source.
Sources have it that Salman's decision to back out has disappointed Manjrekar tremendously. "Manjrekar's repeated efforts to work with Salman have failed to materialise so far. Manjrekar had first tried to rope in Salman for Big Bazaar that was to be produced by Sangeeta Ahir. But the film got shelved. With Salman saying yes to Shikshanacha Aayi Cha Gho, there was hope but not any more," said our source.
