All the members of IF are welcome to put their opinion and suggestion in this thread about the current television and bollywood celebrity ranking systems on India-Forums to impropve the system .

This thread will help to show their opinion regarding the ranking system to the development team members. So, the DT members will be able to take necessary actions to improve the system.

Please note that the numbers in the table above are presented in points after calculating them in relative terms compared to other celebrities so don't be confused on how it says Fans to be 225 (thats the maximum weightage) when they have more or less. So for example if Karan Singh Grover has maximum number of fans at 2463 so that is considered as the maximum weightage Point 225 (considered 100%) and from there we start calculating other celebrities like Harshad Chopra has 1638 fans and so it gets 149 Points (which happens to be near 70% of Karan Singh Grover).

Similarly if Shilpa Anand got the maximum number of views and our max weightage point is 275 and if Harshad gets 69 points for views then it means that Harshad is getting almost 25% views of what Shilpa Anand got.

Same thing goes with Comments and other parameters. From time to time we would be optimizing our weightage system and will add more parameters to make this ranking system more better. We are even working on a way to add Show TRP points also as one of the various parameters in determining the popularity of the actor for the week.

This weightage and percentage system of deciding the ranking is absolutely confusing. This needs to be changed. Views and comments of any celebrity should be shown in there actual number, not on percentage or weightage number.

dere is a lot of confussion about views dat should be cleared out and views i dont think is a proper measure for ranking..........!

1. Blog comments and views should not be counted because every celebrity does not own blog.

2. It is seen that whenever an article of a particular celevrity comes then his/her ranking shots up on that week based on that article. This is unfair. Just because other actors article did not come up does not mean that they have become less popular.

3. It would be best if the ranking regularly gets updated every moment depending on that times particular feedbank comments and views numbers.

I think the ranking system should be checked like chaska meter ranking and like forum system where the views will be counted automatically. Sorry but I don't think admin group count the celebrity rankings (specially the views) properly. Here I am giving a link of bollywood ranking topic which is most unbelievable.

How could be Katrina Kaif on no.1? see here, the number of comments is fewest(only 2!) , but always her views are highest(here 275 views!😕). Isn't it impossible?

Because of these reasons I want a proper ranking system which will be updated automatically(I have explained above that how), that won't be counted by any member from admin group. Thanks.
