The life of a poor girl and her dreams and how it develops into UTTARAN ............its a very realistic story,a really touching to the bottom of our hearts the life of miserable girl icha and her mother damini..........................................and in the other hand how poison that has its seed grows out to be a very poisonous bearing fruit tree is being portrayed here.....am talking of tapasya how she grows to hate her friend and which turns out to be fatal in their life .....................

In-spite of many downfalls and wrong story tracks UTTARAN is that one story which is very very realistic in picturing the life dreams of poor icha

Am in all praises for this story as it just shows how even after wishing and thinking and praying for every ones good ,,poor icha is all left with no life of her own and how her life is just broken apart ,,

she is a perfect example of that life of a person whose FATE AND DESTINY IS WRITTEN IN DARK WORDS BY THE GOD HIMSELF.....she is pure at heart but what is the GOOD WHEN UR DESTINY IS ALREADY WRITTEN IN DARK WORDS BY THE GOD HIMSELF....
and another tappu whose fate and destiny could have been brighter but she broke it with her own deeds ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I agree even to that icha is sometimes bore to watch and tapasya is a very powerful character and she is quite appealing to watch her acting......But when you think of that goodness in icha you feel the misery and pain in her

And am a great lover of the title song of this show.....its so so full of meaning and a great song

Hats of to both tapasya and icha for making the character a worth remembering in the TV industry

I appreciate your thoughts....bt I have a question....curiosity that strikes me often....whether Ichha even deserves happiness?

Without agreeing or disagreeing with anyone I am just curious.......goodness of heart is important I understand...but is that the only factor that should determine the destiny of a person? I mean a person is good at heart and sacrificing for others......therefore he should get all the good things in life? Conviction, will power to succeed, confidence, determination to achieve, diligence, focus, valuing one's own needs too, working on them.......are these things not required at all to determine what kind of life a person should lead?.......I have a small example.."Say, there is chocolate pudding in refrigerator...I am a good person and I want everyone to have it...........but I will not make any effort to to go and get it for myself..........if I don't make any effort to get it, why would I even deserve it? Just because I hope others also get it, the pudding should come walking by itself to me?"

I am not talking about Tapasya....whether she deserves anything or not?...I am just curious about Ichha....I agree she is a good person-but then what else she has?.....If she does not want anything good for herself-why should anyone else bother to give these things to her? ........ A person is educated to make something of his life....but if someone in the name of "goodness"....cares zilch about his own life--is he not insulting the gifts given to him/her........Why did she choose to live a cursed widow's life--when she was educated--and could live independently like "normal" people.......is it not insulting the sacrifices that her mother made--or what Jogi did for her out of affection and resposibility..........is that all she knows-sleeping on floor ...depriving one's own body of essential nutrients......are the best way to demonstrate one's morality?..I actually don't find her great... but disgusting.....For some reason, I cannot appreciate someone who does not struggle for betterment of her own life.

Hima@...
Yes... what u say does make sense...but Ichcha is a character who has always been grateful for all that she has got in life... I dont think she ever complained about her lot... it's we who have a problem with her sacrifices as it does not gel with the modern day thinking where everyone wants the best for oneself and works towards it...
I too wud want Ichcha to fight for herself n not take crap from others in name of frienship (taps) or in order to gain peace for the family (widow restrictions)...
but anyday one wud prefer a good person who thinks about others happiness... than a person who can even kill for achievement of ones own happiness...

May be in a way it is realistic that the lead of the show is not flawless , Like in normal life even the greatest human beings had done mistakes . So in a way Iccha's character is real . But what i want in Iccha is what she was in her childhood , Se wanted better future , she tried for betterment of life ,

About Tappu, i agree she is a evil now , But what i like that Tappu s psychology through the show has been depicted brilliantly , We can not completely blame her for becoming an evil person . As well as we can not forgive her for wrong deeds.

Considering the concept of Uttaran , It is shown brilliantly , How two person has to share each others Uttaran in various aspect of life.

Character wise Uttaran has many strong character , All actors are doing justice to the show and there character .

Most important thing in the show is even when it going to celebrate 2 years in December . There is not a single replacement of actors.

People loves Iccha and People love to hate Tapasya , I sometimes think if Tappu becomes good , Uttaran will become so boring .

@piasengupta no replacements,,but also the story track is quiet stable and the pure essence of the show is not lost still....unlike many other shows which start with a theme and then end up with something else in the time course

@hima123 i agree with you when u do good for all and expect ur life also to be fine and when you do not work for ur goal you cannot be told that you deserve to be granted the fortunes in ur life.........

But there are girls like icha in our society where they are deprived of all fortunes by the more powerful and rich people ....girls like icha are just being used by the rich people for their comforts .....so ultimately its like the two sides of a coin ....or the two sides of our life

so true! as ichcha was also used by tapasya for hiding her mistakes and wrong doings.still she gets happiness, even now eventually she is free from sufferance and came back to home with her father. but poor ichcha has become widow in this small age, which is a big curse for her without doing any crime.

very rightly said. i always prefer a person sacrificing her own happiness tht a person snatching other happiness. although i dont support Ichha sacrificing Veer to Tapu, as Veer is not a commodity, but i can read it her dampness, gd intention with bad implementation. Ichha hs took a lot of bad decisions, but the main things going in her favor is her intention, she never wished bad for anybody. on contrary Tapu did everything intentionally. so i think Ichha deserve all happiness of life, just she sd be taught a lesson, which Veer r doing now.
