armaan is a man who loved Riddhima and found no life beyond her. For him to have her for him was of supreme importance and for which he can and have surpassed all limits.
He promised Riddhima umpteen times that he would move on in life for her happiness. He would respect her every decision.
armaan is one person who makes promises yet he is never able to fulfill them. His limitations stop him from doing so. He is human. A human who is not strong; emotionally nor intellectually; to understand the importance of these promises or consequences of his actions. Hence, time and again he has failed people around him. He does not understand the vulnerability of Riddhima at the moment that he is demanding her presence in his life.
Riddhima took armaan's promises at face value knowing very well that these will never be fulfilled. She expressed her views many times i.e. after the birthday party when she said 'Usse kuch nahi hoga' (the pun was intended there by her). Also, yesterday when she said 'apne kaam se kaam rekhiyega Dr armaan IMPOSSIBLE mujhe careful rehena hoga'.
armaan will always continue to live in his dream world weaving another dream world for Riddhima and himself. Yet, he will never understand that the dream world will not be realized as he lacks the maturity, understanding and intellect that is required to make this dream a reality.
This person needs to be sedated always like an addict or an unstable person needs to be; else he would be harmful to himself and others.
Riddhima is his sedative and maybe will be there for him to be his support.
Maybe tomorrow we may see Riddhima being his partner for life. But in this relationship she will have to be the strong person supporting the weak.
Humanity and Nature teaches that weak and stunted need to be supported. Just like a tree supports the creepers as they cannot support themselves.
Hence, I support armaan.
On a serious note the makers of this character have not understood their tainted creation. Many a times it happens, the creator is oblivious of the disaster they have created. Even God many times did not realize the disaster they were inviting when they granted the wishes to their worshipers.
