Firstly, hi :)
This is my very first topic in this forum, and I am actually a resident of another forum. But once this show starts to get going, I plan to make this my home.

Okay so I watched the very first episode of this show and I think they maintained a somewhat good balance between the Star One 'youth' factor and the Ekta factor. I did find Sukirti's introduction and then the subsequent scene with the namesake 'ma' a bit stereotypical but I guess it was the Ekta factor and necessary to introduce the characters.
It seems the show will be trying to follow the college stereotype...based on the characters introduced in the first episode. And oh I know they have been screaming that it's not Twilight but I do find quite a few similarities. More than anything the male lead's introduction really makes it seem that he will be a vampire a la Edward.

Moving on, what I liked a lot was the last scene. Truth be told, I actually didn't enjoy the whole episode much...I found it as those filler introduction ones but the last scene seemed to make up for the previous 18 or so minutes. I fully expected Priya's character to go and slap her, but I also expected Piya (Sukirti) to act like this stereotypical 'seedhi saadhi' girl and be very passive about it. Hence I was quite surprised when she slapped her back and said something along the lines of 'you too'. Lol I felt like clapping then. I hope her character stays the same way, and we don't get to see some sad, docile, passive girl. Moreover, I think that this slap forebodes a great bond between Piya and Priya's character. I know it started off as a slap but I think both are a bit of an outcast and sooner or later they might begin to understand each other, and become close friends. But that's just me on the very first episode...I'm sure this show will have loads of 'twists and turns' so you never know. Plus there's a lot more to come so let's see.

All in all, it was an okay episode and I think more than Vivian and Sukirti, I want to see Priya and Sukirti. The latter combo's characters seem more interesting to me.

Oh and finally I'd like to dedicate this topic to Piya's slap. It was the best moment of the whole show. Piya needs to maintain this spunk later on.

Seeert!!! Tu Yahaan!!
I haven't watched the episode, I think I'm a little wary to "move on" But I'm glad you're writing this post. : ) I think that Ekta will do a very good job in keeping the balance of her own style and the youth style.
Vaise. Piya slaps? Ekta's heroine slaps? Very good yaar.
How about the male lead? Did he show up?

Jaan: Tu Jahan Main Wahan...lol I just found another song dedication for you.
Yup as I said I plan to make this my home, once DMG is done and the forum is archived. And well I'm not planning on getting attached to any particular character or couple in this show. I'm going to try to be as neutral as I can. Lol don't get me started on moving on...I've made loads of topics/posts about that ;p

About the episode:
Yes Piya actually slaps her back man. I was so happy about that, and as I said the whole episode is pretty blah but the slap made up for it.
The male lead does shows up in one scene where he's whizzing past trees in the forest, hence it's very much like Edward.
I think all in all, Sukirti seems to be quite good. If I compare this with her first episode in DMG then there's been a lot of improvement. And I think she's one of the main reasons why I might stick through with this show.

Yes I know my fav part about the whole episode was the slap and not because I'm some sadist but it just showed she had spunk and won't take things lying down.
I'm not gonna have any expectations from this show but I do think it will be good.

Yup Sukirti was good...I actually like how her wardrobe isn't shalwar kameez. I think that should have been the first hint that she's not this 'seedhi saadhi' girl. Plus I like how she's not sulky and sad like Bella. She seemed to be looking at the positives and hence she was grateful for the hand me down as opposed to feeling insulted.

Hey Seert!! Welcome to PKYEK forum 🤗 I found the whole episode pretty logical when i think about how other Ekta programmes started (try watching a Kayamath or Kasturi)
Sukirti's introduction was cliched IMO but it wasn't too bad. The first 18 minutes or so was pretty slow and the show picked up in those penultimate seconds- the 'SLAP' scene.
Abhay's introduction was an irritating one, what's with that tune?? OMG i did expect better!
Fab chemistry between Priya and Sukirti and the way both gave their expressions after the slap stole the show. I hope this spunk stays in Pia throughout the duration of the show and not follow the typical 'seedhi saadhi ladki' formula which Ekta has used countless times.
I'm guessing Pia and Misha/Nisha will become 'forever' type friends in the second episode itself as this is what happens in most Ekta derived shows when two positive characters clash. And, well it does make sense. It's Pia's first day and she'll find some people to hang out with- i think that's what the creatives were trying to get to with the slap scene.

Miyaaaaaaa 🤗
It has been soooo long man. You totally went gayab but I am glad you're here now :D

Lol I've only 'religiously' watched KZK and some bits of KTH for some time so I'm not much of an Ekta fan but ya I do know you watch those shows. If I compare it to her other shows, then yes it is somewhat different but the beginning was still quite Ektaish. I mean the whole moon thing, someone calling her name, then her subsequent meeting with her 'ma' downstairs.

As I said before I didn't like the episode much so I actually did forward quite a few parts. I was recently informed that there was also a black cat so well the show seems to be heavy on stereotypes. Nonetheless there is still the 'youth' factor there and I think this show will soon find loads of fans...not that it doesn't have any now.

But we pretty much agree on everything else. The show does pick up in the lasts scene; as I said I loved the slap...lol it was a seeti maro bit and made up for the previous 18 minutes. Thus dhan te nan they ended on that.

And oh ya I agree that Pia/Piya and Misha/Nisha will become besties ion the future...altho I don't like the 'forever' term attached to it. Lol bad memories from another forum ;p
