Double take" for B'wood stars on TV
There is big time swapping of celebrity guests (read Bollywood stars) on TV shows. Zee and Sony seem to be the favourite haunts of these Bollywood stars in order of preference. Priyanka Chopra was the celebrity guest on one episode of Indian Idol, along with Kareena Kapoor. It was obvious that the Aitraaz duo were there to plug their new Pepsi product. Priyanka Chopra had another outing as a celebrity guest, this time on Zee (Sony's rival). Sa Re Ga Ma Pa witnessed her appearance, without Kareena Kapoor in tow. Tabu has made similar appearances as a celebrity guest on both Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. John Abraham is next in line to walk the diplomatic line…..( between rival TV channels). More media mileage or mega bucks? Why do these stars make these " double appearances"? Is it a case of playing "copycat" for the two rival channels involved? Celebrities should refrain from making too many TV appearances, a simple case of TV overkill might spell doom for them at the box office!
