I think this was easily the best in the AC series so far after the first one, and one which was properly planned and they are making efforts to properly bring together all the plot points from before (for example, the man we saw killed in Part I). Although parts of the story dragged a bit, it now does look they have it sketched out ahead and I hope it keeps going nicely like this! 😊 Like already mentioned, I think Vivek was the real star yesterday! Absolutely brilliant performance and this is the hidden talent which I wanted to see finally getting a chance to shine after 4 years! The whole Freddy-Vivek relationship was portrayed so well. Also this was one of the rare episodes where almost every member of the team got ample chance to perform and they all did it really well.
Although it wasn't as pronounced as its counterpart in the Talking Parrot episode, the first scene (the burnt body) showed well how much the team members cared for Freddy, I think it was very well done and the performances of our team were really realistic! I just wish Abhi sir was there too... somehow he wasn't there much for yesterday at all. One of the few negative points there was the poor team distribution in the middle part of the investigation, but apart from that I thought it was done pretty well. ACP sir was in great form yet again, Daya sir's performance was really fantastic. 😃 I wish Tasha got a bit more to do, but in whatever scenes she had I think she was really great! Sachin was present a lot but had a comparatively smaller role, mainly because of the team distribution.
Vivek totally ruled yesterday - crying in the beginning when Dr. Salunkhe was bringing the DNA report, setting out on his own to find Freddy sir and firmly investigating by himself, hugging Freddy sir like a child when he finally finds him and his shock at what happens after that; it was all done so well and seemed so realistic, I could easily imagine that it's happening for real. For the first time I felt they truly portrayed Vivek's character well - his youthful energy and determination to do it all as fast as possible. I hope they keep it up!
Freddy sir finally got a chance to be his true self after a long time and I was so happy to see that! Not only his performance during their attempted escape was fantastic, I got a chill when he placed the revolver on his own head at the end. His desperation during the scene with Vivek and the Russian roulette scene was so perfect. Although I think the latter scene was a little dragged and should've been shortened a bit, I think Tarika, Sonali and Kajal performed really well during that, especially Kajal. With a bit better editing, the scene could've been even better, but was still very good. The villains don't seem that impressive so far though and I don't get what the deal about the drugs is, but I do hope they've planned it out well (and bring out the real bad guys into the front soon!).
Agreed that the story and script by Christabelle ma'am and Nitika Kanwar were very good, and direction by Rajan sir was mostly well done too. I liked the locales they shot in yesterday, also I think the action music during the last scene was pretty good. They've sure left the episode on a very tense point - what happened to Freddy, Vivek and Daya sir? What about the blast? What about the bomb in Dr. Salunkhe's car?
Really looking forward to today's episode, and hoping the glorious streak only improves. 😊
