This is with regards to the episode telecast on tuesday where the contestants are shown performing in ahmedabad. This is to date the most static and boredom inducung episode on indian idol 2.
I can affirm the fact that this is a feeling shared by many apart from moi. And like many other before me, I would like highlight where Amey Date's ouster has left indian idol 2 at. In this very forum the frenzy that had encapsulated itfor over 3 months was dying a quick death. To think what would be happenning with scores of other fans goes without saying.
The very essence of the show seems to be lost somewhere in the wilderness. With the competition among the contestant fizzed out, and eventuality , just a matter of time. I am a casual viewer of the show and I strongly felt an undercurrent of anger and disappointment and Amey's ouster. His voice certainly had the quality to touch one's soul. Though from what I have gathered from various sources including the horse's mouth, it has been made out to be a marketing strategy, for wish that a genuine talent shines, I pray that Amey makes it through the ranks of these petty politics and turns out to a star that we all know he is. This is to you Monsieur Amey Date.
Cheers
From a male fan.
ps: rare sight is my gener on this forum. Am sure says quite a lot about Amey( non sexual manner😛).

Appreciate your views!

II2 reached its high point, climax with Amey's exit. Now, there's nothing much left in the show, its in a lull period now and will be until the end! Amey's voice does have that endearing quality to touch one's soul and heart. Technically, there were some minor flaws w/his Satrangi Re perf. But when you listen to his rendition, you can tell he poured his heart out to sing that number. There's so much depth in his voice. Its got an universal appeal to attract a lot of people.

Hey guys, I guess many of this forum members are from outside India. What's the reaction in India? Although I found the last episode really boring and empty, there was a large crowd cheering the remaining three contestants. Why does that happen? Aren't people living within India affected by the missing soul in II2? Sandeep was being promoted as an ideal bridegroom..II2 is a singing competition or a marriage bureau....
