^ Exactly, Dharmesh was trying to take the heat off him but he only made Archana more angry and hence the slap. Dharmesh deserved it!

Another reason why the slap was well deserved was because Dharmesh told Archana that he had no intentions of helping Manav nor has he tried to find proof of his innocence. Dharmesh is a jerk! Manav was a worker in his factory, a good one at that yet he sold him out in no time to save his precious self! Archana should tell her family that she is not going to apologize to no one, after the way Dharmesh spoke they should be ashamed of him not Archana.
