Here's an idea for Manav and Shravni after he gets out of jail and life stabilizes and he opens a garage, called Ganpati Motorworks with Archana who got a loan, who becomes his first business partner. He is the Manager there, a post he is proud of, it helps build his self-esteem because no one will hire him due to being in the slammer on a double murder charge. Archana does administrative duties, while Manav trains other mechanics and also fixes cars. Some of the capital comes from his real mother Aradhana, whom he has located after years of separation. She's his real mother.

Let's get to the track.

Shravni has been a fierce enemy of Archana, even though Archana adores her son. She has been trying to get Manav's attention for a long time, but he has not reciprocated, but has even yelled at her and told to have no such expectation from him as she is just a 'zimedaari' in his eyes, and he is under no obligation to love her. Like a good uncle, he does love little Sachin.
Sharvni has been through a lot in the past few years, losing the love of her life, Sachin, getting pregnant, which she surely didn't plan, and having to accept another man as her husband for life because of 'izzat' and 'maryada' issues….all this has taken a toll on her and her favorite scapegoat has always been Archana. Deep down Shravni knows there will be no love or even intimacy between her and Manav, simply because Manav is not built that way emotionally.
One day, a man from her past, from her college days, who had fallen on hard times, comes to live in the same Chawl as her. His name is Sumeet and he is living with his mother who is ill and needs looking after. Sumeet has a sister also. Sumeet gives tuition and English and Math lessons to the little children in Chawl and makes a bit of cash from it. He's an egalitarian guy and won't charge the kids' parents an arm and a leg for the work he does, so he has a fantastic reputation in Chawl.
He bumps into Shravni and Sachin one day at a store where both have shown up at the same time with their kids; she with little Sachin and he with his little daughter Asha. They recognize each other and each assumes the other is married, but they don't know they live at the same Chawl. They chat about their college days, remember funny things about their professors and how free and fun those days were in comparison to today's worries.
They don't tell each other where they live to keep up appearances. Asha and Sachin instantly take to each other and begin to play. They both notice that. Then they bid goodbye, but end up meeting the very next day at the Chawl.
Shravni:
"Sumeet, tum…tum yahan..."

Sumeet:
"Ha, mein yahan rehta hu meri Ayi aur choti behen ke saath. Ayi ki tabyat aaj kal kharab rehti hai, tou is liye…'
Shravni:
"Kamaal hai, mein bhi yahan rehti hu, wahan, oopar waley ghar mein."

Sumeet:
"Tumhari shaadi nahin hui? Tumne Sachin ko adopt kiya hoga."

Shravni:
"Nahin, Sachin mera hi beta hai, mein uske pita, yaani mere mangetar Sachin ke saath shaadi karne wali thi ke unki achanak death hogai."

Sumeet:
"Oh, I am so sorry. Mein nahin janta tha ki tum itne mushkil daur se guzar chuki ho. Mein tumhara dukh samaj sakta hu. Mujhe hi dekhlo. Meri patni Shweta, Asha ko janam dete operation table par hi…yeh 2 saal pehle ki baat hai. Lekin aisa lagta hai ki kal ki ghatna hai. Chhoro in baton ko, tum ab kya karti ko, kaam pe jaati ho, ya…"

Shravni:
"Mein teacher thi, par ab full time Ayi hu (smiles)."

Sumeet:
"Mein Chawl ke bachon ko mere ghar pe padhata hu. Meri naukri choot gai, tou jab kaam ki talaash mein nahin hota, tou tuition deta hu. Fees kam leta hu, is Chawl ki halat tou dekh hi rahi ho. Agar mein in bacho ko nahi padata, tou yeh masoom kabhi agay nahin badhenge. Mein chata hoon ke mein in bacho ki school ke liye kahinse government grant dhoondu, aur unko zindagi mein woh cheez du, jise unka har sapna sawar sakta hai…padhai, college tak. Tumto janti ho, mujhe education/teaching se kitna lagao hai. Meri degree ab kam nahi ai tou kab kaam aigi?"

Shravni:
"Mujhe bhi education mein bahut interest hai…mene Sachin ke liye bhi bahut oonche sapne dekhe hein. Aur tum jo kar rahey ho, usko lekar mein tumhari aur izzat karti hu."
Shravni thinks of this as a great opportunity to make Manav jealous. If he sees her talking, chatting and laughing with another man, he will be like any other man and tell her to put a stop to it as she is his mangetar.
So one day, she invites Sumeet to her house upstairs and says that it will give them a chance to catch up on their college days; they will have chai and the kids can play together. He agrees and comes over with little Asha the same day. She times it so that he is there when Manav comes home, but doesn't tell anyone at home about Sumeet and the invitation to tea.
Sumeet and Asha come over and knock on the door. Savita opens it and he is shocked to see her, as he only knows her as the screaming lady wrestler type lady who makes everyone's life hell near the washing area downstairs. He is aghast. Her foul mouth and loud attitude are familiar to his ears.

Savita:
"Ab yeh lo, tum kaun ho bhai? Ha, ha, mein janti hu, galat ghar mein agay aur pata poochna hai…thik hai. Kaun chahiye? " Sumeet is a little dumbfounded and didn't answer in time so she blows a fuse. "Behre ho kya? Soonai nai deta? Jor sey bolti hu abhi, tum ko kaunsa ghar chaiye? Kisko dhoondneka hai? Bolna! Arre bolta kyun nahi? Agar pata nahin tou idhar khade khade mere bheje ka palak bhaji kyun banata hai? Ab jaa, jaa tu…" She slams the door in his face.
He thinks, "Kamaal aurat hai, kuch bolney bhi nahin diya, kabse bak bak kiye jaa rahi thi…ghar tou yehi hai lekin…." Just then Shravni opens the door and lets him in.
Savita:
"Arre! Rukh, tu andar kaisey aa gaya?"

Shravni:
"Ayi, yeh Sumeet hai, jinke barey mein apko bata rahi thi, mere college ke bahut ache dost, aur yeh unki beti Asha. Ao Sumeet, andar ake betho, mein abhi chai lati hu. Shravni keeps Sumeet talking while staring at the clock and just waiting for Manav to see them together, laughing and having fun chit-chatting.
Savita gives him a disapproving glare, and goes into her bedroom.
Manav comes home and as Shravni sees him through the window, she begins to make an extra effort to laugh and giggle and act really happy in Sumeet's company.

Manav enters through the front door and smiles as he sees the two of them at the dinner table laughing up a storm, they're making fun of some professors in college who used to give everyone a hard time. Just as he sees them, before he could say a word, Savita grabs him and takes Manav into the bedroom to tell him that it is not proper for Shravni to be talking to Sumeet like this, what will people say? She wants him to go out there and throw Sumeet out immediately, before any one of the nosy neighborhood ladies figure out that Shravni is entertaining a male in the house, even if it's just a cup of tea they're sharing.
Savita:
"Tu abhi ke abhi jaa, aur bolde oos behrey ko, ke apne ghar jai, aisa bartav Shravni ko shobha nahi deta…yeh jo bhi ho raha hai, bahut bura ho raha hai, ab tu bahar ja aur usko dhakke maarke bahar nikal de, nahin tou mein jaati hu, usko kaan mese pakarke…"

Manav:
"Ayi, tu shant ho ja, mein dekhta hu, na? Mein dekhta hu. Tu bait yahan, baith." He goes out and immediately extends a hand in friendship to Sumeet and says "Namaste, mera naam Manav Deshmukh hai. Mein Sachin ka Kaka hu. (Shravni seethes at this introduction.) Badi khushi hui apko milkar aur yahan dekh kar. Aap Shravni ke khandaan mein se hein ya?"

Shravni:
"Nahin Manav, Sumeet aur mein saath mey college mey padhte the, aaj unko chai pe bulaya meine, yeh unki beti Asha. Asha aur Sachin dost ban gaye hein, lagta hai ab Sumeet ko roz yahan aana padega, taki bache aapas mein khel sakey. Yeh bhi teacher hain, Chawl ke gareeb bacho ko bahut kam fees mein padate hein, kitni achi baat haina, Manav?"

Manav:
"Sahi kaha tume Shravni, aise log bahut kam hain dunya mein. Sumeet aap jab chahein yahan aa sakte hein Asha ko lekar, bache bhi khelenge, aur Shravni ko bhi aap sey bataey karke bahut achha lagega. Isse apna hi ghar samjho aur jab chaho, Sachin aur Shravni ko milne ajaya karna. Tumse milke bahut khooshi hui. Mein zara haath mu dholu, aplog bethiye, aramsey batein kijiye."

Savita:
"Arre Manav, beta, tune bhi kya apne bevde Baba ki tara chapti chadhadi kya? Pagal hogaya hai? Tu oos behrey ko vapas aane ki dawat de raha hai? Arre Shravni teri honey wali biwi hai, aur woh kabsey koi ghair mard ke saath hass bol rahi hai. Rok ne ki bajaye, tu usey bhadava deraha hai? Tera dimag kahan rehgaya beta? Ke aaj kaam bahut tha? Ke kadakti dhoop ke niche chalke tera bheja andarsey pakora bangaya?"
Manav:
"Ayi, dekha nahi tuney? Shravni kitni khush hai? Kitna zor zor se se hass rahi hai Sumeet ke saath, kitne ghul mil gae hain. Mainey kabhi Shravni ko itna khush nahi dekha. Mein chahta hu ke who hamesha khush rahey issi tara. Yeh Sumeet bhi Shravni ki tara college ki degree walla ladka hai, meri tara unpad nahi, tou baat karkne ko hazaro batein hongi."
Savita:
"Ab kal bhi yeh sasura agaya tou kya kargega tu?"

Manav:
"Agar woh aye Shravni sey milne, tou adar aur samman ke saath andar bulana aur becharey ko chai ki ek pyali dena. Garajna mat uspe, yeh accha ladka hai aur Shravni ne kaha ki yeh bechara Chawl ke gareeb bacho ko kam paiso mein padata hai. Uski hamey izzat karni chahiye, Ayi."
Sumeet leaves after saying that Manav seems like a great guy.

Shravni:
"Aap kahan jaa rahe hain, Manav?" Manav tells her he's going to sleep and there's lots of work to do tomorrow. Aapko Sumeet ka yahan aana ajeeb nahin laga?
Manav:
"Ajeeb? Arre, who tou kitna accha aur suljha hua insaan hai, mein bahut khush hu ke tumne usey bulaya. Kal bhi bulana, balke jab chhaho, bulalo usko, bache bhi khelenge aur tumhey koi baat karne wala miljaega."

Shravni (hopping mad):
"Woh kaam tou aapka hai Manav. Kissi aur ka nahi. Sumeet ko yahan dekh ke, meine socha ke aap ko bura lagega, magar nahin, aap tou usko dost bana bethe."

Manav:
"Dekho Shravni, mein bahut thak gaya hoon kaam sey. Mujhe jo thik laga, meiney kiya. Ab tuhari marzi, usey bulao, ya na bulao, baat karo ya na karo. Agar Sumeet sey milke tumhe thodi si bhi khushi milti hai, tou mein tumharey liye bahut khush hu, yakeen mano."
Shravni:
"Mainey soch ki appko jallan hogi, mujhe kissi aur mard ke saath dekh kar, lekin nahin. Jallan kyun hogi. Jallan tou tab hoti, jab aap mujhsey thora sa bhi pyar karte."

Manav:
"Tou tumney ek bhaley aadmi ka waqt barbaad kiya mujhey jalaney? Shravni, aisi bachkana soch mein bardasht nahin karoonga. Sumeet ek accha ladka hai, logo ki madad karta hai, aur tum uski dosti ka najaiz istemaal kaar rahi ho. Agar tum mujhe jallana chahti ho, tou yeh baat zehen se nikaldo. Usey yahan dekh kar mujhe jallan nahin, balki khushi hui. Ab mein soney ja raha hu. Sach, Shravni, mein soch bhi nahin sakta tha ke tum aisi cheez bhi karne ke kabil ho, woh ek bhaley insaan ke saath."
He walks away and shuts the door to his room. She is standing near the sofa near the window and in her anger throws a pillow at his closed bedroom door. He hears it.
In a few seconds, he opens the door. Picks up the pillow, slowly walks past her and puts it where it belongs, as he walks past her again, he shoots her with one of his famous Manav stares, the one that says beware, tum had par kar rahi ho.
Savita secretly sees everything and says "Hey Bapa, yeh ladki kya kar rahi thi…kaun janey shaadi ke baad kya kya hoga. In dono ki film script likhni padeygi, ke pyar kaisey nahin karna chahiye…." She goes to bed.
