This is the medal tally at the end of Day 1. Aussies are leading with 9 medals but inside info is that they are upset with English taking away Gold in Swimming.
Pakistan is upset for not having started the count while Bangladesh has successfully got 1 medal.
India the host bagged 5 gold today taking it self to 2nd position.
A bizzare news coming in is that Aussies are complaining & whining about food & every thing.
They lost their silver medal for rude behaviour
Fkiri appeared to have been disqualified for making an obscene gesture to the judges.

The Australian looked frustrated during the bout, at one point trying to slap and headbutt his local rival before eventually giving the finger to international wrestling officials
england also tends to win lot of medals in events like rowing, archery, swimming , these events are starting from tomorrow.

And about Aussie behavior, you never know..They can be false as well. If you look at their cricketers, they speak such good things about India. They are as Australian as the CWG athletes..
And btw, I just confirmed the news from my Aussie friend about terror threats and CWG not being telecasted- He said that the terror threat alerts were issued last week, when there was some problem regarding the security conditions, not now. And he watched the ceremony live on television in Australia.

India beat Malaysia in Hockey, perhaps it was just the first match but there was absolutely no coordination in the Indian team
been a while since I watched India play hockey but it seemed like a role reversal India scoring 2 of their 3 goals from Penalty corner and
Malaysia scoring 2 of 2 from the field with some excellent stickwork
On a side note gotta give some attaboy's to Kalmadi for winning the first gold medal for India
Did anyone notice Kalmadi thank Princess Diana for her presence at the Commonwealth games, Is that the way Indian govt getting back at the Royal family for wresting the innaguration flap😆

If they can have lawn ball, they should have had Kabbadi....India would be the contender. At least 2 more (M & F) medals could be in the tally then..?!

Any input, guesses?

Only few countries know about Kabaddi, not all. Only South Asia know about the game. How would the rest of the world compete when they do not know about it? O.o

If that's the case, Gilli-Danda could also have been included. 🤣
