| It's now official. Perizaad Zorabian is dating Boman Irani. Shocked? So were we, but the belle cleared the air when she stated that her Boman Irani is not the talented actor, but the managing director of Key Realtors Pvt Ltd (better known as Rustomjee Builders). The couple has been dating for a few months now.
Says Zorabian, "Yes I'm dating Boman and I'm too scared to divulge all the details. He's an extremely private person and I wouldn't want to hurt his sentiments by talking about our relationship."
After staying single for a couple of years, Zorabian was drawn to the builder when she met him last September, while judging entries at a national level competition, Unsung Heroes... No Longer, organised by the Rustom Irani Foundation, to recognise committed teachers in the country. For this couple too, friendship paved the way for love.
"I met him last September when I was a jury member for the Unsung Heroes. At the outset, we were good friends sharing many common interests, before things started taking a different turn. I love him so much. He makes me happy when he is around," says Zorabian.
"The man in my life happens to be an Irani. But I'm skeptical at the same time, as life is so uncertain and you never know what the future holds," says the Irani Zorabian.
When quizzed about the possibility of marriage, she says, "We're giving each other time for our relationship to grow. I cannot be impulsive when it comes to marriage, as I don't want to see myself playing an absentee wife at any point."
Private pair
We hear that the couple has been attending parties and doing a bit of cautious socialising — away from the media glare. Admits Zorabian, "We are shying away from the media because it's our personal emotions, so don't expect me to divulge everything about our personal lives."
NY Yankee
The actress has just returned from her annual getaway to New York and is particularly thrilled about her double role in Highway 203.
"New York is like home," she says. "I have spent my formative years there and each visit leaves me rejuvenated and refreshed. I'm playing a double role for the first time and am quite excited, as the film releases in a few months."
A psychological thriller, Highway 203 revolves around an author, played by Kay Kay Menon, who is riding high on the success of his latest bestseller. His wife gets killed in an accident and the cops suspect him. Zorabian, a starlet who bears a striking resemblance to Menon's wife, is hired by the cops to trap the husband. |

Boman R Irani, the chairman and managing director of the Keystone Group, is an engineer, a first generation developer, and an entrepreneur.
His company started construction in Mumbai in 1996 and gradually became one of the city's top firms.
Since then, the company has completed and delivered residential complexes, premium homes and educational institutions.
As a part of its corporate social responsibility, the company established the Rustom Irani Foundation in 1998, with the objective of "making education a priority".
The foundation established their first school, The Rustomjee International School, in 1999.
Among the other programmes the foundation has initiated is Unsung Heroes... No Longer. In its second year now, this is an award for excellence in education to acknowledge, recognise and reward meritorious teachers. Boman met Perizaad Zorabian when she was judging this event. | |
