I dont understand you guys (like you dont understand me) and I dont have the patience to understand what the AR relationship was before I started watching the show/before Riddhima met Sid nor do I want to understand what went on because just like those scenes were magic for you, the SR scenes are as special to us.
See,that's where the problem lies.
You haven't been watching this show since it began whereas we have been and we can clearly identify each of the character in every sense be it Armaan,Riddhima or Siddhanth.
We know where the characters come from,what they've been through,what they have experienced,how the struggled to achieve what they wanted and so on.
As you said,you haven't seen the AR relationship so its obvious you wouldn't understand the essence of their love but I do since I've seen both the stories develop in front of me. I am not being biased but for me AR's love surpasses any or every other love story(SR's isn't even one since its always been one-sided love)

Quite honestly,if you haven't seen the show from the start-you will never know or understand what Armaan's character is like.
Its just not a character,it has various layers & shades to it-his character is a deep one! Amraan might not be a saint but he's near to perfection-you might not agree but yes that is how his character is!
Similarly, whether he is this type or not a love as significant as AR's will obviously leave many memories behind, Im not saying that she doesnt love him of course shes going to love him, he was a huge part of her life, she nearly got married to him - what I am saying is that despite all this, life has threw her into a completely new situation and she began to accept her new life.
She might have had but what's the point in living a life which is based on a compromise? Based on one-sided love? A marriage where the woman you are married to always keeps dreaming about her ex? Her heart and soul is dominated by her ex?
I am sorry but this marriage is a marriage just for the sake of its name.
Riddhima could never give herself onto Sid completely because as Jenny said "Her heart still lies with Armaan" & she would never be able to either & she confessed it herself.
And you still want this marriage to continue despite knowing that Riddhima will never be able to give her full self to Sid?
She will always be Armaan's from her heart & soul,if she decides to carry on with her marriage would be solely because she would keep the society and norms much above her happiness.

No offence but really,we've all seen the extent of love AR have for each other but did we see even 10% of that in SR's? (And I mean from both the sides,not one-sided)
Riddhima loves Sid but like a friend,she finds a great & honest friend in him and that is what's reflected through her actions.
Remember Riddhima said White is Sid's colour and Red is Armaan's.
White signifies peace & dignity which you assosciate with a friend.
Red signifies love & passion which you assosciate with love.
You don't get lost into the moment and get intimate with someone who's just your friend😳
And let us not dig into the "psycho" issue since we are never gonna agree on that! But I would just say since I know Armaan's character-I can see where he's coming from!
But let's leave it at that.
