Geet is not at fault here...

Quick note: Dev isn't the bone between MaaNeet, it's Shakti. Geet doesn't have the "Shakti" to confess her true feelings for Maan. Now where to find this Shakti, eh? I just had to start my post with reference to Tuesday's final scene. Geet's random rambling and offering of chocolate to Maan was adorable. Icing on the cake was Maan's cheeky smile at the end. He is a passionate man but can be a cheeky boy when he wants to be! I absolutely loved that scene and I must mention the part where Maan holds onto Geet's hand...aah their chemistry gives me goose bumps! Now to the actual purpose of my post:

I was being really sad and read all the comments on youtube over Monday and Tuesday's episodes LOL!! While reading, I was quite surprised to see that a number of fans have adopted a negative approach towards Geet due to her hot & cold behaviour towards Maan. All fans are entitled to feel what they want, I appreciate that. But I can't seem to fathom why Geet is beginning to get step treatment. One comment in particular irked me in which someone mentioned that Geet was quick to establish a physical relationship with Dev, but hesitates to convey her feelings for Maan. I think such comments are highly unfair.

Firstly, both circumstances are COMPLETELY different. Geet had married Dev- well, that's what she had thought. He was supposed to be her husband. Hence the intimacy after marriage was natural. However, I doubt as to whether she really loved Dev in the first place. What did she really know about him? What real and genuine moments did she ever share with him? Establishing a physical relationship means nothing if the souls do not meet. That was the case with Geet and Dev. The only reason why Geet was so hurt was because the sense of betrayal was too much to take. Had she genuinely been in love with him, she would have still been searching for him.

Geet was naive, she was caught up in the whole idea of getting married, going abroad and having the perfect life. At that point she never understood the meaning of love or what a companion actually was. What she felt back then was just an illusion. Until she met Maan...

MaaNeet's relationship has progressed with time. From foes to friends, from friends to almost lovers. It's been quite a journey. So much has happened along the way and they both have come to the point where someone has got to give. But question is- why should it be Geet? I love Maan like the rest of you. I would be mad not to! But recently he has been a bit too pushy. It would have been better for him to confess his feelings first, then let Geet follow. But he is being slightly stubborn. It must be difficult for a girl to reveal her true feelings, especially after being previously betrayed. Geet doesn't have an ego, she is not deliberately making Maan suffer. She has tried to say what's in her heart but just can't bring herself to say it. That doesn't mean she doesn't feel enough for him. As they say, it is far more difficult to reveal your true self to the one person you love. When you truly love someone, fears and inhibitions creep into the corners of your heart not because you don't love that person enough, but because you in fact love them too much.

Geet needs to fight the mini battles that she has within herself in order to confess her feelings to Maan. She needs to overcome her fears, only then can she reveal her true self to him. We know that destiny has brought these two together. But love binds them together. They may have intense chemistry but that's one side to their complex relationship. Behind the complexity, and messiness lies a very pure and honest relationship that needs time. Love is not black and white- same goes for MaaNeet. And no one should expect Geet to start shouting from the roof tops. She was right to tell Maan that he always says he can read her eyes. Every time he looks in them, I'm sure he can read what he wants to hear. She laid out her life like a pack of cards in front of him. Why? That's love for you. What he thinks matters to her the most- period.

They say chance encounters can change your life forever. That is the case with MaaNeet. I firmly believe that Maan may be the second man to enter Geet's life, but he is her first love. After all, what is love? A single soul dwelling in two bodies. That pretty much sums up Geet and Maan for me.

Take care all,

Loved your post, i totally agree with you! Now a days many people are ganging up on Geet for some reason and blaming her for not confessing. I want both of them to confess and i don't care who does it first i just want it😆. Back to the point, it's really unfair to say all this to her and comparing her relationship with Maan to Dev's. She thought she was married to Dev that's why she consummated with him but that's not the case with Maan. She has to be reluctant because she doesn't know if it's the right thing to do because they're not in any relationship, they're not married and they havn't even confessed yet. I'm proud of Geet for not taking a drastic step without having an official relationship with Maan, I'm glad they didn't consummate their relationship, i would love to see it after marriage, it's a lot cultural for me, since Geet is such a sanskari girl. We know that they love each other but they have to say it first na😊. But i don't feel Maan's at fault either, in his mind he has expressed his feelings many times and he has, indirectly, but Geet doesn't want to say anything because she's scared she might be wrong. I Loved this "it is far more difficult to reveal your true self to the one person you love. When you truly love someone, fears and inhibitions creep into the corners of your heart not because you don't love that person enough, but because you in fact love them too much." It's very true especially in Geet's case, we have to understand, she's only 18 so of course she'll be confused about love and committing into a relationship. My advice to everyone is to relax, sit back and enjoy the show. Do not try to find faults in every episode as i see that going around a lot these days😡. Give Geet a break, and just trust her, once she expresses her love for him, she'll love him like no other😳, because to me Geet's character is very honest, cute, trustworthy and real, except for the part where she acted oblivious to his love, who wouldn't know that, it was soooo obvious😆. Last but not the least, Maan is definitely her first love, Dev just made her feel important that's why she developed a soft corner for him, but that's all he did for like 5 days maybe. But Maan has stood by her side, khushi ho ya gham, he has loved her more than anyone and same goes for Geet so it's not fair to blame either of them.

P.S: Sorry for the long essay, i didn't even realize i wrote so much, and if that wasn't enough i added this note to it as well😆😆.

@ bahane: thank you for appreciating my post. I also hope that Maan says it first...because poor Geet is finding it so difficult hehe! Best wishes to you too :)
@ robbieluvr: Thanks a lot for your comments. Much appreciated. I agree, Maan isn't at fault either. Poor guy has been trying his best too. But perhaps he should take a step back because Geet is so nervous she's crumbling haha!
And I share your thoughts completely with regards to Geet, the character. Well said, she is honest, trust worthy and real. And as you mentioned, once she confesses, she will indeed love him like no other!

@ gooseberry & sharmake11: Thanks guys for commenting :)
@ robbieluvr: I guess you and I share each other's sentiments! I also feel the need to comment when people blame Geet. I understand where they are coming from but think it's just being a bit unfair. Agreed, Maan should give her space but to a certain extent. Hoping she opens up soon, for Maan's sake...otherwise he's gonna pull his hair out in sheer frustration lol ;)

Beautiful Post 😊 So glad you brought this up... Amazingly written and well explained...
Its really sad to see negative comments be it on Geet or Maan or the serial or the team .. I mean come on guyz give them a break. they are humans after all... And you know what people should stop over analyzing the situations... and keeping very high expectations. Actually under the influence of the expectations we forget to enjoy the moments... And end up being stressed...
One similar comment that irked me was why was she ready to submit to maan in manali but hesitant to tell him her feelings... Come on isn't submitting yourself expressing your feelings too.. And after Maan knowing everything about her... Its difficult sometimes to put everything to words.. Does he consider that she would have given in if she would have not loved him? Think of the nth number of times she has tried to keep him away ... Think of how she had pushed him away in the discotheque... Thus i really liked it yday when she said "You think you can read my eyes.. is this what you read"?
Having said that Maan is not at fault too... He wants a verbal approval proabably because it may have to do something with his past... He is not ready to commit unless he is very sure of her feelings but i guess Maan has the habit of not analyzing when ne needs to and over analyzing when he does not need to 😆 Thats how we love him right... MSK ishtyle 😆
Just my POV 😊

Aaliya...A very relevant post...Geet is not to be blamed for all this....we must understand that she has seen the ugliest face of life at such a young age..She is just 18 and falsely married once...made pregnany by a man who raped her in disguise of marriage, her family did't support her, her brother tried to kill her....her villagers tried to kill her twice.....who can survive all this cruelity?..But its her strong will to fight that made her go through all this..of course with Maan's help...Nobody is denying that. Now understand what I am trying to say here...Maan saved her..He is the most handsome, caring person..always on her side, a strong pillar.....a multi-millionaire, whoich girl will not want to marry her (see his craze over IF) Now if Geet accepts his love and fall of him just for these very reasons...its not right...(Sorry U may kill me for this)....U don't love somebody because of XYZ reasons...U just fell in love...what attacts you towards that person you really can't explain...A true love cannot be explained..it can only be felt. Now Geet does feel this love but she is a bit hesitant...why?....its natural she had been through hell in a span of just 2 to 3 months and so many turns and twist in her life....she does need time to sink in into Maan's love. She needs to be very deeply rooted in love with Mann so that when she faces Dev as Maan's brother her love and trust shall not waver.
