Anurag (Harshad Chopra) of STAR Plus' Tere Liye actually had to take residence on the sets of the show for a good three days. He returned to his home sweet home after a gap of three days.
Begging to differ with the idea of calling the sets as his second home, Anurag says, "Well, the sets of Tere Liye has become my first home. I shot for three days at a stretch and returned home, but this has become a routine now. When I leave my house for the shoot, I have no clue as to when I will return. I have my house running on wheels quite literally. I carry all my toiletries, extra clothes and food in my car."
It is the sequence of the show that consumes a lot of time. He says, "The show is being given a different treatment as we have been shooting under rain and wind. We shoot first and dub our lines later which consumes a lot of time. The scenes are lengthy and it is practically impossible to shoot an entire episode in 12 hours."
A thorough professional that he is, Anurag doesn't crib about shooting even when he is down with any illness. Remembering an incident while he was unwell, he quips, "I was unwell and shooting for the show. I had a severe sore throat and had Betadine syrup to ease the pain. What I didn't realise was that instead of the normal syrup I had actually gulped down Betadine surgical syrup which is used for bruises and wounds. Apparently, barring a mild difference in the colour, the bottles look the same. It was only after gulping it down, did I realise the blooper. I was really worried for my throat and was fearing a severe outcome. I wanted to see a doctor but was too tired and lazy to go out. The medicine left a bitter taste for the next one and a half days. My throat got a surgical treatment."
After a tiring shooting schedule, Anurag unwinds himself by working out. He says, "Gymming works wonders for me. It is like a meditation process and I always feel nice and refreshed after my work-out."
Well no pain no gain!!
Watch out for handsome Anurag on Tere Liye, Monday to Friday at 10:00 pm on STAR Plus.
