Continues from yesterday's.. Shylu shouting that no wealth can be equivalent to their son's act. That she is in a respectable (?) strata of the society. KS asks her to be patient. appadi ellaam sollradha kEtruvOmaa.. Shylu cries that she has fallen only for their son, and will not fall for anything else. KS says that he will stop the wedding as per her request. KK wonders what AM will say, asks what about mama's vaakku.. KS says AM has to decide what he needs to do and about his father, paavam he did not know that we had purest ayogyan for a son.. pOchchu ellaam pOchchu he says

the moment this girl stepped inside this house everything has gone for a toss.. Paatti asks him to be patient, KS shouts that her pEran burnt all that..naandukittu saagardhudhaan vazhi he yells and leaves.. so does Shylu.. KK holds her chest is about to fall and is held by the rest of the crowd.. Our EB has a short circuit in his dream, wakes up,sweats, and goes to see his mummy and daddy fast asleep.

Next morning he goes to his friend and tells his dream to him... Tells about the confusion.. the friend asks to think about himself. Sara says of his head spinning.. friend suggests joint venture to put an end of this problem. Dont delay now, lets meet the lioness in her den, they leave for Shylu's house. Shylu and the Maid Akka (MA)- MA advices Shylu that one cant force one to love, cant make a life by forcing someone to enter wedlock, that it is not a competition to see who is winning.. Shylu is confident that Sara is fond of her.. (ammani, fondkkum lovekkum pala mile distance) , justifies that his kudumba paasam is stopping him from coming to her, the competition is between love and kudumba paasam (??) that she will win. Starts to leave, stopped by MA telling not right to visit Sara's house. Shylu says that to come out of the first relationship itself took her a year (is that very long?) she doesnt have the strength to accept another defeat. Avanga veetula naan nadathura panchayatula they have to leave Sara to me.. Enter Sara & his friend. Shyla asks of his decision, his friend says we will sit and talk, she stops him, asks Sara if he has stopped his wedding will sit and discuss their marriage otherwise will make a visit to his house. Friend says veedu thEdi vandhurukkOm, Shyla says avvalavuthaan mariyaadhai.. Friend tells Shyla about Sara's dream.. she is not bothered about all unnecessary things..she only wants to talk to Sara. Sara mennu muzhungufies.. Shyla is ready to leave.. Sara stops her... She is adamant.. friend tells him not to beg her.. tells her to go ahead.. her parents would believe him and not her..asks if she has any proof... Shyla takes him to her room, boots her computer and shows the pictures of Sara gifting the child, eating at Shyla's place, Shyla buttoning his shirt, that thunderous night...both friends are shocked.. Sara asks how could she take photos unawares, what type of kaadhal she has, that he was feeling guilty until now.. ellaam wasted.. Shyla says photography was her hobby (thiruttuthanamaa photo edukkardhaa?) and she did not plan to use it like now.. warns that she should get married on the same date as his wedding otherwisewill produce these as proof and his maanam will fly..(ivangamaanam ennavaagum?) Sara begs for time.. The friend and Sara leave the place dumfounded.

The next villi Prema comes home with the cyanide pack. Janaki comes and learns of the cynaide.. wants to have a closer look.. has a look of the cyanide, through the plastic cover the eyes of Prema shadows the poison - all in negative... (aamaam illana serial romba positive..)

Monday 4/10/10 Habbaaaaaa Roja kku thaangalai da sammyyy

First segment - Chemist Prema at work - Cyanide gets in to the capsule - athukku oru 10 tharam antha capsule ai thookki thookki pidichu ...negative le photo kaamichu....habba. Ithellam pannittu, antha capsule ai casual aa machine mele vaichuttu pOvaalam ...give me a brrreeeaak.

Prema's mom comes in from shopping - consumes the capsule thinking that it is pressure medication. Prema comes after washing her hands ( H1N1 washing) and tells mommy that she ate cyanide. Janaki does a single RKO ( yen ma, nee sethu pOnaa vera yaarum azha maattanga??) ..tells Prema about all the hidden treasures......asks for milk......Prema also cries...brings the milk ( habbaaa, athu capsule thaane ?? athu break aagi cyanide veliye varathukkulle hospital poga maatinga??) ...and while she bends down sees the original cyanide under the machine ... chides mommy for the drama......Roja kku cyanide venummmmmmmmmmm.

Third segment - Prema goes to KK's house......bends over backwards and serves KK ....
goes in to make tea while Paatti doubts Prema's intention......mind talk "nee ippO sapidara dosai thaan your last meal.."

Update for Tuesday, Oct 5, 2010:

Prema is watching KK and Paati eat and thinking - Okay, KK, enjoy your last meal! KK looks at her with paasam pouring from every pore in her body, Prema says she will get the pills, and goes to the medicine cabinet. Shots of her taking the bottle out, then in, out, then in, finally she takes out the pill from a plastic bag hidden inside her blouse (safe place indeed!), takes the other pills and gives them to KK. KK finishes her meal leisurely, then takes one pill, swallows it, takes the next pill, swallows it, then picks up the third pill (the one with the cyanide), looks at it, smiles and - tells Prema that she takes that pill at night! Prema is forced to put that pill back in the bottle along with the other pills. She consoles herself that sooner or later, KK will take that pill and meet with death.

A doctor in a hospital office talking to another doctor - MK comes in, he is introduced to the other doctor and is told that there is a new procedure and a doctor from the US is coming and this can be done on KK. There is no guarantee of success, but MK agrees to get it done anyway. He is told to get Rs. 50,000 for the surgery.

KS in the store, he is giving his employee PuLimootai the invitation and Rs. 3000 to buy clothes for the wedding. PS comes in with the caterer, KS tells him to give the remaining employees the invitations and Rs. 3000 each, discusses with the caterer and gives him the advance (for the weddings which will not take place!) and asks PS to send Rs. 50000 to someone towards the past due amount and leaves to go and give out some more invitations.

MK comes to the store, PS asks him to give the Rs.50000, he takes it and is going to use it for his mother's surgery. He leaves the store.

Prema comes home, Janaki is waiting to have dinner, Prema updates her and says that she has brought chicken biryani as an advance celebratory dinner, Janaki wonders how she can be so sure, since KK seems to be evading death, and Prema gives her usual talk of how she is more powerful than any God, and so on.

Update for Wednesday, Oct 6, 2010:

Prema is explaining to Janaki how she plans to get married to Karthi in the same muhurtham that has now been fixed, and Janaki says that if there is a death, the wedding will not take place. Prema tells her mother that she will make KK express a wish before she dies that Karthik should marry Prema, so that Prema can do the 16th day ceremony (these dialogs are not to be heard in the evening hours, which should be kept for worshiping God - ellam en headwriting!).

PS goes to a milagai wholesaler's place to give the invitation, comes to know that the Rs. 50000 has not been given to him, tries to call MK to see what he did with the money, MK's phone is switched off.

KK is carrying a bucket of washed clothes, MK tells her not to carry heavy stuff, and starts hanging out the clothes to dry. Paati sees KK watching this, and tells her to do uppu milagu suthufying that night. Karthi comes along and tells his mother to get him some coffee. MK asks Karthi if he got his first month's paycheck and if so, why didn't he give it to his parents, and Karthi says that he has spent it already. Just then. PS comes in, asks MK if he gave the money to the milagai person, MK says Yes, KS comes in, asks what happened, PS mazhuppufies, Karthi comes in and decides he is going to stoke the fire here, so he also starts questioning MK what he did with the money. MK says he spent the money, Paati says that he doesn't even buy new clothes, what use could he have for that much money, KS says it doesn't matter, if MK says he needed the cash, let him take it, he can explain later since he trusts him. Karthi says he must know what happened, accuses his brother of dipping into the till, MK gets angry and the two brothers come to blows. KS and PS separate them, Karthi wants to know why KS is easy on MK, KS says that MK has worked for the last 25 years like a servant in the store without taking a penny for himself (so how old is MK? 40, if he started working at 15 - isn't that pretty old for Kavitha? If he started working at 10, that makes him 35, and even that looks too old for her.) In any case, doesn't he have to tell them about the surgery, or does he plan to kidnap KK and take her to the hospital? How does he plan to get her into surgery? I am speechless at this guy's lack of thinking.

PS tells KS that MK probably bought something for Kavitha, and MK promptly says Yes to that. Karthi doesn't believe that, but KK and KS are all praise for MK. Karthi says he will believe it only if Kavitha says so in his presence, and he tells MK to go with him to see Kavitha. KS tries to stop him, saying that the brothers' fight need not be made known to the sambandhis, but Karthi is not the type to listen.

What kind of a dysfunctional family is this, where they don't even talk about such important matters like this, and what kind of an idiot thinks he can get his mother to go to the hospital for surgery without even informing her and the rest of the family about it?

Karthik grabs Muthu to go to Annamalai's house. KS tries to stop, Karthik continues to harass Muthu if he used the 50k rupees to buy jewellery for Kavitha. KS asks his mother for advise, and his mother advises him to go with Karthi to AM's house to avoid embarassment. KK decides to follow them.

They reach AM's house, KS asks Karthik to not embarass him. Karthik beckons Muthu rudely to come in with them. (Why cant the idiot tell them even now its for their mother?) AM and wife having a discussion about the wedding. AM invites KS and sons in. They have a long mazhuppufying discussion, and KS divulges that Muthu took 50k and asks if he bought any jewellery for Kavitha.

Unfortunately Kavitha is not in, and the parents deny any knowledge of any jewellery. They ask Muthu when he bought the jewels. Karthik says the money went missing yesterday, so given Kavitha was home all day, he concludes the money didnt go to buying the jewels. Karthi humiliates Muthu and asks what he did with the money. Karthik insists Muthu did something illegal with the money. Kavitha enters at that time, and saves him by saying Muthu met her at the temple and gave her the chain. She says she didnt tell anyone because she didnt want her sisters to feel bad.

Karthik asks to see the chain, and Kavitha says she gave the chain for fixing because the fastener came loose. Kavitha says she can get it if they want. KS says its ok, but her mother insists they take the chain back. KS refuses, apologises and leaves. Muthu gives a appreciative look at Kavitha and leave.

Saravanan with friend- shocked the banshee Shylu has photographic evidence...worried what happens if she shows it to his family. He says he is always living a nightmare (of course!), and cant imagine what will happen if his family finds out. He says he cant be happy about his marriage, and has no mood to join the celebration (thats karma). He starts sobbing and contemplates suicide..his friend consoles him, saying he will somehow retrieve the photos from her house (nobody has heard of softcopies?) The friend guarantees he will get the job done without problem....thodarum

Navarathri special. Mudhal padi , illa illa , Mudhal adi. Shailaja turns Raudhraja.

Saravanan's friend Ravi at Shailaja's door. Sundari akka directs him to go to EB office to meet Shailu , Ravi happy at the news of Shailu's absence , gate crash in to the house ,goes straight to Shailu's bedroom ,ransacks it , removes the hard disc from the CPU [adhu eppadinga endha toolsum illama cpu open panna mudiyuma?]smashes the comp screen & key board , threatens Sundari akka to warn her arumai thangachi to suruttufy her tail & stay away from his friend. If not ask her to be prepared to face the music. [Oru sandhegam...Computer destroy paNNina poruma to destroy the evidence. It might still be in her camera .Srimaaaaaa theriyadha vishayathai pathi comment paNNI Soorpanagai agathe. Got it]. Ravi leaves , akka calls thangai & updates the thiruvilayadal.

JE madam immediately returns home to assess the damage. Camera does its roller coaster act , srima's head too spins along with the camera. Shaila adip pradhakshinam panni reaches her bed room. Sundari akka's lecture follows her....told you umpteen times to keep off this useless man Saravanan , see where your love & nambikkai on him has led you to , see for yourself the indecent behaviour of his friend...camera zooms on the smashed computer & shocked Shailaja's face. Shailu calls Saravanan who starts trembling looking at her number. Ravi encourages him to talk to her. Tense Sara tries to explain ....Shailu in no mood to listen to him ,blasts him left right & centre . Ravi snatches the phone from Sara & boasts about his veera dheera seyal...you no longer have any evidence to blackmail my friend ,better keep off . [A]shylaja [ this lady has no shy or lajjai . Hence the name Ashylaja] lashes out at Ravi....Adei muttaL computer gone for a toss doesn't mean all evidence lost. You have showed your prowess , now let me show mine. Directs him to switch on his computer , gives her yahoo ID & password & see for himself the photos. Idhu poduma , immum venduma ? if want more check my website ....en kadhalai kaviyamakki uyiroviyamakki vechirukken [sariyana Shy[less]ja . ] Seeing the site Ravi & Sara turn pale. Shyla's lecture continues ....some more archanai to Sara on selection of friends. Comes to the point. Monday marriage [ as scheduled by Sara's parents]...same muhurtham... but Sara will to tie the thali around Shylu's neck at Thirupathi ....Venkatesa perumaL saakshi. On Sunday when his family members leave for the reception Sara should leave with her to Thirupathi. If you fail to turn up , be prepared for the consequences .... will land at the marriage hall with the photos. Sara dear you are well aware of my obstinacy....sonnadai seigira rakshasi. Better decide fast.

Villi Rani Prema drawing line on the calendar similar to that of paal [ milk] kaNakku...KKku ennikku paal oothalamnu kanakku.....KK has so far taken 6 capsules all sans cyanide. The one she is going to take that night is 7^th one. Prema is confident that will the cyanide one...counters mother's sarcastic comment saying number 7 is a very lucky number for her , sure to win this time, KK is sure to kick the bucket that night. Mom promises to make paal payasam if she succeeds.[nalla amma nalla ponnu].
Restless Sara thinking thinking thinking. Shaila's bayamuruthal haunts him. Finally decides to tell the truth to dad.[Hmm un barathai appa mela aethu...KS adhai avar appa mele aethattum

Episode - 121

Sara is thinking on SLJ 's(shylessja) ultimatum. Gets a call from Ravi. Sara wants to break the truth to his father, Ravi tries to dissuade him, but Sara has decided to go ahead. Comes down to see a tensed KS who is shouting at Karthik. Says what Muthu said was true, that they had to go and check because of Karthik. Karthik refutes saying if Muthu had told the truth then none of these would have happened. KS says should trust him, can Karthik do any drogam to this house? Karthik hangs his head, KS says you cannot and is the same with Muthu. Sara is looking bewildered. KK intervenes and peace prevails. KS warns that this must be the last time their house problem crosses the vaasappadi. Looks at Sara and says both Muthu & Karthi have brought problems but Sara has not, and KS is proud of him (kizhinjudhu pOnga!) a stumped Sara. KS is so confident that Sara would never fail him. (KS - Muthu & Karthi senjadhu oru sotha matter). Sara back in his room with a thakita thakita BGM, thoughtful...

AM's household - AM ready to have dinner...enters Thamizh.. Meena asks why so late, Thamizh has been to T.Nagar to buy jewels for her sisters. All of them assemble to have a look at it. AM & Meena wants to know why she went alone, all could have made a trip (idhu enna excursion aa), Thamizh says we wouldnt have bought anything then, just discussed and returned. Vasanthi if accompanied would have asked for umbrella jhumki and 2 vadam chain, Swathi says she would have taken thOdu and murugu chain.... Thamizh gives them their jewels and they get what they had asked for. All are mighty thrilled. Kavitha too likes her jewellery. Meena wants to know if anything bought for the maappiLLais. Thamizh shows the bracelets for the maaps. Kavitha asks about jewels for Thamizh... Thamizh hasnt bought anything for herself. All sisters ask her to take something from theirs. Thamizh says enough time for her marriage, so will purchase later. Meena says to keep before saami the next day and then wear. All leave to their rooms. AM says they are lucky to have Thamizh as their eldest child, even a son might not have done so much. Meena blesses Thamizh... Kavitha says akka would definitely be well... Meena blesses all of them. The talk veers towards MK giving her a chain. Thamizh is updated of the morning visit by KS. Meena is worried that the brothers arent united. AM says his daughters will set them right. Thamizh accepts her father's POV.

Thamizh comes to Kavitha and asks why she did not tell them. Kavitha says did not want Swathi & Vasanthi to feel bad, so MK told not to tell anyone. Thamizh says that Kavitha is listening to MK right from now, after marriage she might even stay away from them. Kavi tells her not to talk like that. Thamizh tells she was just pulling her leg, Kavi says anyone talking bad about her is ok, but not her akka (MM la RKO illaama eppadi) starts tearing up...Thamizh says sorry... all leave to have dinner..

Sara writes a letter to the thakita thakita BGM folds it... KS is having dinner, KK says he is not eating properly, to take care of his health, KS tells her to take care of hers, Sara goes to his father's room and leaves the note in KS's shirt pocket with the money in there.

Update for Tuesday, Oct 12, 2010:

Sara is slowly putting his hand in KS's shirt pocket, slowly, slowly, he takes out the money from the pocket, then slowly, very slowly, he takes the letter which he has written, slowly he puts it inside the wad of cash, then again slowly, very slowly, he puts it inside so that it doesn't show, then slowly he puts it back in the pocket. Same bgm music - thakita thakita dhum dhum ... Sara goes into the dining room, KS has finished his lunch or whatever he was eating, tells KK that he is going to the market to arrange for the vegetables, asks Sara if he needs more invitations, and leaves. Sara, you idiot, why didn't you also go to the market with him and you could have talked to him privately. Oh, I forget, this is not a real family, only in real families do people think and do things, here they don't know how to think.

Kavitha calls MK, who is on his bike, and asks him to meet her in some temple. He says he has some other job, but she insists, so he agrees.

Temple - MK is praying and weeping, asking God to take care of his mother. Kavitha comes, sees him inside, smiles and goes and prays, and then looks at him, shocked to see his tears, and leaves quietly. MK wipes away his tears, goes outside, and sees Kavitha. She tells him that she saw him upset, is it over the lie he told? Then she tells him that he can share his burden with her, and a lot of other stuff which I cannot remember, but something about how he came to her house and consoled her when she needed consoling, and so she is here now. Anyway, finally he tells her about the money and how the family does not know that KK is dying and only he knows, and about the doctor who told him to deposit the Rs.50000 towards the surgery, and how the family will all be shaken up if they find out. KK is the aalamaram of the family, etc., and Kavitha asks him why he didn't say all this to his brother when he asked about the money, and he says that his brother is a muradan, doesn't worship God, but worships their mother, and if he knew this, he would break down (oh yeah? Karthi the rowdy is going to break down? This I have to see!) Kavitha praises his good heart, flower like heart (poo pOla manam) and how he is taller than the temple gopuram or something like that. Finally, she tells him that it is pradosham and let us go and see the abhishekam to Nandi and pray there, and maybe we will find a solution.

Eljay's Wednesday - hmm, what a wonderful way to spend one's life - writing updates for MM!

Update for Wednesday, Oct 13, 2010:

KS is coming in a car and then - eclat, your prayers have been answered! - magic thatha comes, then there are about fifteen thathas, then three, (ellam photographer thannoda skill kaataraaru!), then one thatha comes in front of the car and the car comes to a sudden stop. KS comes out, he is so happy to see his father, tells him about looking for him at the temple to give him the invitation, but he disappeared after talking to AM, and thatha listens to him and then asks for Rs. 10. KS gives him all the money in his pocket (including Sara's letter), thatha looks at him, then at the wad of notes in his palm, then at KS, and the wind blows the money (and the letter)away. KS picks up the money, gives it again to thatha, who says he wants just Rs.10, KS says he has no change, the driver also has no change, thatha refuses the money and walks away.

Sara in the temple, praying hard (kaariyam nadakka vendum so every one rushes to the temple and prays!), and then goes and sits down. When he sits down, he sees a folded note in front of him, it is the same letter that he had placed in KS's pocket. Thatha is also sitting there, laughs loudly. Sara sees him, goes to him and calls him Thatha and asks him for help. Thatha says that he has committed a grave crime and now he wants help, talks of theetu when someone dies lasting for a few days, but this crime against a woman will need a lifelong theetu (this is what I gathered from the conversation, if I have made any mistakes, please correct me, friends!). Sara asks thatha again for help, thatha says something I didn't understand, and leaves.

Tamil goes to KS's house, Paati greets her (I thought her name was Tamilselvi, Paati greeted her as Tamilarasi, oru veLai Thendral-le act paNNi Paatikku confusiono?). She goes inside and tells KS and KK about the bracelets she has bought, shows it to them, and asks them to give them to the three sons when they come home, but KK and KS say that she should keep them, and then the bracelets can be presented at the time of the wedding.

KK wants Thamizizh to present the bracelets to the grooms during the wedding itself. They make some small talk with Thamizh. MK calls, asks mummy to take her medicine, KS has forgotten, and says she will take it. Thamizh goes to take it for her, and KK eats the medicine...doesnt feel well

Prema comes in the morning, asks why KS is not around (patti says KS is sleeping)- all the mind thoughts about how there is a death in the house and nobody knows...BGM of funeral conch blowing. (kandraavi). Prema goes to KS, who is lying down, smiles to herself, and starts a RKO big time that she is dead. The boys come running in, and KS wakes up, and MK scolds Prema for being an idiot. Karthik scolds her also, saying she is so stupid to oppari like this. Prema says she was so sad that she didnt wake up, and she was upset. Paati does her share of scolding and calls her a venai for the family, and asks her to get lost.

Temple- MK comes, calls his fiancee Kavitha, asks her to meet him somewhere, she is doing adi pradashanam (for her mil I presume), but doesnt tell him that, so she says she is cooking. MK hangs up, and a priest comes along, saying she is such a nice girl for doing such a penance on an empty stomach. MK comes across her doing her vendudhal, and she faints at that moment due to fatigue. MK helps her up and asks her why she is doing this. She says she is praying for 2 thing- One is her mil's health, the other is that their marriage must not happen.

MK asks why, Kavitha says she has been the reason for her mil being sick, and how her kidnapping made her get her heart trouble- Kavitha feels she is very unlucky, and she will bring misfortune to KK's house, saying she herself is a dosham. MK says she has made him so happy, and he doesnt want to lose her under any circumstance...hevolunteers to drop her home.
