Baaji really is the one character drawing great sympathy right now. He is such a gem of a person, I don't know if Dutta realizes just how much Baaji cares for him and tries to shelter him. The most beautiful thing was when he said "Bechara Bhau...apni behen ko is haal mein dekhega toh sharam se doob marray ga." He wants to protect Dutta from pain and betrayal, from harm, from shame, from anything and everything. And in return? He gets nothing but barbs and anger, yet he's still ready to run to and fro at Dutta's beck and call without ever hesitating for a single moment. His love is selfless and pure.

I agree with chochu that as time goes on, the repercussion of events will only worsen for Baaji. He is in a no-win situation...no matter what he does, he will be among those underwater when the tide comes in.
