MY TAKE ON TUMHARI DISHA - 16th May '05
Yesterday's episode had some cute romantic scenes after a dismal last week. Thanks jingle for the detailed update. (with the dialogues as well ..great !!!). Let me add a short detail to the update (kya karoon, aadat se ho gayi hai...Translation..what to do it has become an habit)
This post is especially for mink and memsaab. After some fantastic songs (by Lata, Samy, lalgulab and others) it is the turn of some great humour in the forums.
ADDITION TO UPDATE
When DK twists Pori's hand and Sum comes there Sum does not realize that her sonnny dearest is twisting her pyaari bahu's hand. She is kind of shy as if she has intruded in thier privacy (Sum is really blind i tell u ).
When Dish is waiting for DK in the restaurant (in reality) in the Bhonsle house the parents and the girl chosen by Sukanya are waiting for Gautam. Anil does some small talk with them. Aazuba and Suhas are umcomfortable with the happenings. When they ask abt Gautam's whereabouts Sukanya kind of manages the situation by saying that he is busy with work. Just then Gautam puts in an appearance (looking all tired), They all enquire. But he remains silent. Goes straight to the girls parents and tells that he cannot marry their daughter. He then addresses his next dialogue to the girl saying that she is very cute and nice but he loves someone else and he cannot even imagine a life without her. Saying this Gautam walks out of the room leaving Sukanya and Anil shocked. The girls mother makes a face at Sukanya and all of them leave the place in a huff. Sukanya and rest are still shocked.
MY TAKE
DK and Dish meet but in Dish's dreams...Now Dish seems to be hopelessly in love with DK as DK himself. Nice to see that. they seem to be mouthing the 'I love you. I miss u' dialogues everytime they meet and talk..:)))) (The initial fone scene as well the dream sequence)
I liked the dialogue that DK makes when he says that he will tell Sum the truth that Dish is his wife. He says that his fate cannot be so bad that just because he tells his mom that he wants to live with his wife dearest she (Sum) will be snatched away from him. He says that he is willing to take the risk and he has always been taking risks in his life. The dialogues suited DK's character.
I though that the house was Suhas's and Sukanya and Anil were staying there thanks to Suhas. Dish should have mentioned this to Sukanya when she was trying to block Dish's way.
Sum mentions that court marriage is no marriage and the marriage is complete only with the saat pheras around the sacred fire. In that case apna DK babu is married with Dish (Contract or no contract). Now i don't know how Sum will react when she comes to know that her sonny has already taken those saat pheras with the mistress Dish.
I wonder how Pori has still not noticed that its Ved who is attending office and not DK. In that case at least Pori will leave DK babu in peace. (All these negative characters overhear everything, Then how come Pori has still not overheard this. She needs to be more attentive in Kanaka house. Can someone pass this message to her ??)
btw DK was in a pale very light orange (close to skin tone) shirt throughout. Dish changed at least 3 outfits. First one was some churidhar with her hair tied behind (she was looking nice..simple).next some sari (peacock blue in that dream sequence with DK) and then yellow sari with some gold type zari...(when she is actually waiting for DK...). No wonder Chhavi finishes her saris in no time. I was reminded of the article posted by Lata. (or was it jingle ??!!).
Jingle the storyline (of Dish waiting , night comes, it rains and DK comes after swallowing the shock given by Sum) that u have said sounds very much possible. Also goes with the dialogue of 'main jaanti thi tum aaoge. Tumne vaadi jo kiya tha'. (Translation: I know that you would come as u had promised). So the promo scene would mostly be shown today.
And jingle i think that the title song was not shown i guess because of the following reasons. 1) People don't shift to other channels while the song is being played. 2) The songs has come so many times (in the serial as well) that they have decided to do away with it for the time being. 3) As mink says maybe they will incorpate the scenes of ILU. 4) Going the astitva way the new title song will have Dish being flanked around by DK, Inder and Ved all sides. DK being flanked by Sum and Pori. Rano around Inder (with the baby ??!!). Suhas aorund Dish with Aazuba providing support to Dish. Gargoyle Gargi with her chandelier earrings and Nath casting a black shadow on the goings on.
Actually I felt good after reading a feel good post by mink. For people who have missed this post read it here. You may begin liking the TD twists as well. Thanks Mink.
Acting wise it was ok types. But if I had to pick my choice for yesteday it would be Dish. She enacted the scenes of a 'hopelessly in love' character quite well. (maybe it comes from experience with Mohit !!!).
QUESTIONS
- Will they (DK and Dish) meet in today's episode ? Will Sum ever realize how much she is torturing her sonny (and us) by mistaking Pori to be his wife ? When will Pori realize that its Ved who is the all powerful owner of Kanaka empire (and shift her loyalities to him !!). Does Sanya have any (ulterior) motive in marrying Dish's cousin Gautam or is she just looking for security ? Will the marriage actually take place between Pori and DK ?
- Now that Gautam has made his stand public, How will Sukanya and Anil react ?
