hi

Yes agree with you swathi too i think and truly believe this is a positive critcism and as you say if ashish reads this take it as that. I think he in romantic scenes is rather uncomfortable or maybe he doesn't feel at ease becos you are right swathi even though they have shown alot of passion in his eyes he could not do full justice to that scene..I thought recent bedroom scene was more romantic and his expressions were good. His is really good in his emotional scenes and also the old Dk scenes where he potrayed the character of a powerful, ruthless man brilliantly i would give him full marks for that..

more then guhas the director has to be blamed ,

i can still recollect the film farm programme where the director talwar mentioned all the actors name including indy's but some how he didnot mention ashish name (it appeared purposefull omission) and infact he was interviewed at the last ,the cameras was not projected on him(no where he was shown in the party) ,secondly his name is not included in the zee synopsis of td where main actors of the serial is given indy's name raj is there!

Are they trying to sideline ashish????????????

if it is so guhas be carefull you guys have to wind up the show within a short time ,many of us watch the show only because of dk

Hi Jingle,

I have said before also that it is dir. fault for not extracting good work from him. His name is not there in the synopsis coz earlier Dk's was just a guest appe and Rano was to die during childbirth and Indy and D were to get together. But the whole story line has changed and Dk has become so popular that now no Indi ................only Dk and D!!

Lets hope they fix his character soon......................

The guy has amazing acting talent.

My two cents worth:

I agree with most of what you all are saying. When I first started watching TD and was captivated by Ashish as DK, even then I thought that his strength lies in his expressions and not in his delivery of dailogues. To me it seemed to be too hurried, as if he couldn't wait to finish that scene. He always looked very uncomfortable in the romantic scenes. But he was at his best when he did not have to say anything at all.

But I have to admit that he has been improving with every episode. He does not seem uncomfortable any more in the romantic scenes and there seems to be an easy camaderie between the two D's. I think all the characters are doing a superb job considering the predictable, inane storyline that they are given each week.

Bottom line, I still am completely in love with Ashish as DK and cannot imagine anybody else in that role.

Ashish is getting really repetitive in his acting! Just conside some of his earlier scenes, where he had projected his all-powerful, ruthless, cold image and now his soft, emotional and helpless image - there is a world of difference!

Also, I think that Ashish / DK looks extremely uncomfortable in romantic, light-hearted scenes! One it does not gel with his overall personality, secondly, it looks as if he justs wants to get away from his co-star!

I saw glimpses of TD yesterday, and found the whole restaurant scene hilarious - where was the romance???? Disha was much more convincing!

As you guys rightly said, the producers are one to be blaimed for ruining his character in such a way. But then again, a good actor is a good actor. It doesn't matter what role he is given, it doesn't matter how his character undergoes a change - his acting should not be affected.

If Ashish was all that brilliant an actor, then he should have been as convincing in a romantic scene as he was in the intense, angry ones!

Cheers,

Chilly

PS : Memsaab - I like DK's character better than anyone else on TD, but I think that Vedant scores more than DK as an actor - most of the times.
