Given the bitter experiences with Shamal in the past, Mihir is bound to think that he is bad and can never change at all... Akashi comes from a very rich family and is used to luxuries, so it is but natural for Mihir to think that Shamal's status can provide her almost nothing...This is what 95% of the fathers/elders in Mihir's place will think and by all means oppose their daughter/sister/SIL ideas.

Since this is a serial, it will be shown to us that Akashi-Shamal will lead a very nice life and she will educate him and he will become very rich and rub shoulders with Mihir, etc....but in reality it is very difficult to achieve that level....it takes years and hardly 2-5 out of 100 people might achieve it .....but not possible for all.😕

Right now Mihir is in Akashi's dad's place and him worrying about Akashi's future is justified. Akashi is gonna oppose everybody and go to Shamal..........so Shamal must understand her sacrifice and must take Mihir's words very seriously, work hard, earn money, become rich, and must justify to all Akashi 's reasons for moving with him..........that is his biggest responsibility now...only then can Mihir or anyone accept him.😊
