SRK is back in news, not for 'Ra. One', but for being the top tax payer in the B-town in the second quarter of the financial year 2010-11. Akshay Kumar spotted the second place in this race.
The King Khan has paid a whooping amount of 5 crore as compared to 3.5 crore during the previous year.
Akki grabs the second spot, while Aamir takes the third
Bollywood Khiladi, Akshay Kumar grabbed the second spot among the B-town top tax payers by paying 4.5 crore. Akki was the top payer in the last quarter.
The actor paid an advance tax of 9 crore in March, 2010, taking his total advance tax payment in the current financial year to 18 crore.
In 2008-09, when Akki starring blockbuster films hit the theatres, the actor paid the highest tax of 31 crore, among the Bollywood actors.
After Akki, it was Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan who grabbed the third position by paying 4 crore tax.
Saif and Ranbir shared the fourth spot
Bollywood's Chote Nawab, Saif Ali Khan shared the fourth spot with tinsel town's heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.
Saif and Ranbir both paid 2.5 crore tax in the second quarter.
Other B-town stars in the queue
Other B-town stars in the queue are Mr. Robinhood Pandey, Salman Khan, who paid 2 crore as compared to 2.5 crore last year.
Interestingly, Sallu's ex, Katrina Kaif paid 1.3 crore, a surge, as compared to 1 crore in the first quarter. Then comes the glamorous actress Kareena Kapoor (1 crore).
Surprisingly, the 'Kites' debacle was seen in Hrithik Roshan's tax. He paid the lowest (50 lakh) as compared to what he paid last year (3 crore).
For stars, grabbing first position in tax payers list might be a matter to be proud of.
