I'm not an EMA supporter either but my post wasn't about whether DMG should show a married woman cheating on her spouse. It was about the political involvement in the current track. I personally don't think it was offensive enough (considering it's just a soap) to bring people who deal with dire issues surrounding real people, into it.

You do bring up a great point about DMG glorifying stuff that would otherwise be considered unethical and/or immoral by the real life standards. So true!

lol, soap operas glorify everything that they show - whether it's a social 'evil' or some pious family occassion. even the ones who claim to be taking a stand against social evils like rape, infanticide, harrassment, child marriage etc, end up glorifying the subject even more.

these serials cash on something that transcends beyond entertainment too - manipulation. they can make EMA look the most pure thing in the world and make a simple relationship look like the most disgusting event to have taken place. they sell whatever they show, and they show whatever sells.

as far as the whole MNS thing is concerned, there is not much that can be done about rabid fans. they do what they have to. and indian political parties are looking for raw flesh to sink their teeth into, anyway.

Again, I was just agreeing with the fact that they (Cinevistaas) at least did not fully showed the adultery scene but not with the politicians stuff. It's not worth to involve politicians or anyone for the fictional show. However, not everyone thinks the way you or I do, so it might be all right for those people who have called those so called politicians.

Armaan/Riddhima/Siddharth or any of the characters are NOT more important than your parents,siblings,loved ones and friends who are REAL and who ACTUALLY deserve your time and energy - frankly I am APPALLED to hear that someone slashed their wrists for a mere show 😲 - if this is true I am only feeling for the parents and loved ones of that person, it is a very sad state of affairs. DMG is just fiction, it is an illusion, it is unreal and what is not real is NOT REAL and hence is not worth your time or thought let alone strong reactions, petitions and what not - period! It is HIGH TIME everyone woke up to this FACT.

P.S: I am particularly stressing on the words FACT and REAL time and again!
