September 17, 2010, (Sawf News) - Asin has been announced as the new face of Lux Sandal and Cream soap.
The soap is touted as 'filmi sitaaron ka saundarya saabun' and in the past has been endorsed by Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
Asin, 24, is a firm believer in the goodness of sandalwood oil and attributes her own beauty to it.
"It gives me immense pride to endorse the new natural variant Lux Sandal & Cream, as I truly believe in being beautiful the natural way.
"The credit of rooting the right beauty mantra goes to my mom, who being a doctor, has always entrusted the beauty of my skin to sandalwood, due to its magical cleansing, toning and moisturising attributes," she said in a statement.
The Ghajini star shot for the TVC a month ago at Filmalaya Studios. Vinod P Vijay directed the ad which will air soon.
Other endorsements in Asin's kitty include: Sure - Anti perspirant from Hindustan Lever, Big Bazaar for apparel retail, Tata Sky, Clinic All Clear, Mirinda and Fairever Fairness cream.
Asin is currently filming for Anees Bazmi's Ready with co-star Salman Khan.
Her next release will be a Tamil film Kaavalan, with co-star Vijay. Incidentally, the film is a remake of Malyalam film Bodyguard which is also being made in Hindi, titled My Love Story. It headlines Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. All three versions of the film are directed by Siddiqui.
Kaavalan was scheduled for a Diwali release but recent reports suggest the release may get postponed to Christmas/New Year.
