Sareeta once spoke about Shaan's convinction and how he always stands by the decisions he always makes himself....And this is true, once Shaan decides to do something he always commits to it....Wether marriage for neccessity or taking responsibility for Khanak....But even in this his own will is not clearly stated....He takes a stand, but when sometimes, the right thing is obvious.....But credit to him he has a heart of gold and always tries to do what is right, never deliberately hurts anyone....

I always held the same view as her (Sareeta)...he does everything striaght from his heart..even in Dulwadi when he suggested Khanak's marriage it was in a way for her own good...in his view....and through all that he did stand by it...thus showing his strenght of sticking by his decision....his going after Khanak, getting her back..all show his strong will and determination...even he had a dialogue after winning the bet ..Khanak put to get her back home...remember , in the taxi he thinks to himself that ppl always underestimate him and what he can do...so true....

My point is Shaan does stand by his decisions, but to a certain extent he still lets destiny and other people take most of the responsiblity....

True...though he does not beleive in it all..he still lets go to easily....when he faces obstacles...or is brianwahsed to think otherwise...as his ego takes over or his insecurities or maybe fear of faileur. He is scared to trust his instincts...his gut feeling as he never had an occassion to test tehm or even try them out as all his decisions have always been made by his mom or ad..more mom it seems who babied him till the end and is still trying to do it.

Hence he gave in too easily to Madhvi's persausion and left their kismat in Khanak's hands.....He is afraid to make the decisions on his own merit....Perhaps the tarot card reader was right, he doesn't trust himself and so he doesn't trust others....But his logic is, aleast if he listens to others, the burden is shared and so he can't be faulted....As Mahi, Amrita or Priya said it's part of his basic nature and it's who he is and it's great the CVs have shown a continuation of this....Faults and all we love Shaan....

Yes Suraj death could be one factor...or it could be so many...mainly his upbringing I think.,.....where he was pampared so much that he never had to make a decision and stick by it...be responsible...etc...thus he does not trust his won decision now...thus the lack of trust in himself...Khanak always gave him this trust...to ebeleive in himself..and now he has in a way lost that..but he needs to find it fo himself now....

Completely agreed with Mahi...love needs to be unconditional..adn its about time as I have said..that Shaan trust himself, his decisions, and fight for what he truly wants....

During the propasal scene Shaan said he can only change himself so much and that Khanak will always have to handle him.....Thats fine, we should be loved for who we are and Shaan is still the same, but his attitute to life has improved.....Khanak has accepted him as he is and now it's Shaan turn to have a direct talk with her and conquer his fear and ego....

Eggactly..its about time Shaan fight for his love....he gave up to easily....lettin g his ego, his hurt and his mothers bainwash take over what he knows deep inside....what he beleives....its about time they showed him fight for his love, trust himself to know what he sees ...knows etc is true...that he can trust himself, his instincts..etc.

Almost everone on the thread knows him ,but I am clueles May who is Shashank Malhortra ?

Shaan is good person at heart and capable of taking his decisions and stands in life but very low in self confidence in his own goodness .He is more matured than he shows .He gave Khanak the freedom of being herself(understands Khanak has gone thru a lot and doesnot want her in any more pain) ..Khanak opened up slowly under his frenship and love and is becoming the same Khanak from Dhulwadi days before her marriage..

He really did take a stand for Khanaks happiness from very start -he had suggested her second marriage...When Madhvi way throwing Khank out of house(just after marriage) , though shaan was angry on khanak , he desparately tried to stop his mom..What I really liked - Shaan till now has loves Khanak the way she is ,never being embarassed about her not knowing english in front of others..infact he finds them cute.. Remember when he had said to Nattie that what if Khanak is from village she is also human...Thats one among many things that endears this character to me.

He can be impulsive and brash at times but is caring and good human...So we love him..

Till now either his family and loved ones have treated him like a naughty kid who is prone to mistakes and they show their greatness/goodness by forgiving him ..Or he is irresponsible and they bail him out of troubles.too many avenues to be spoiled..Suraj's death too had shaken his trust in himself..when almost evryone in family and his girlfriend had taunted him on that mistake ..

Agree with you ,with Khanak who has full trust in his abilities and doesnot hesitate to point out his mistakes but loves him with all his faults..Shaan had developed more confidence in himself..But now when he is thinking he is losing her ,his self confidence also taken a hit..he is succeptible to fall for other people's advice..
