Pri, you remember when the promo of Nikki throwing things in her room after the 8PM meeting came out and she had firmly decided to do something? I remember even the voice-over hinted at her going away from Sanjivani, and we'd all thought that she would leave, making A understand her value. Love that you brought back the idea and started to take the story from there, it's coming along fabulously!

Like Shale said, Abhi's guilt is something we never saw, at least not this type of remorse and regret, so it's interesting to see how he rebukes himself at demanding too much from her at that point...which he maybe did, being so pushy and fast about everything. Looking forward to the following story and how it pans out!

Glad you liked this idea.. I always thought that it would be the right thing in the track for her to leave at that point... Afterall Niki wasnt some sati sawitri that Sasbahu seials portray.. she was bubbly strong independent girl who had her self respect above everything.. Hearing such a bad remark on ones character isnt easy and acceptable to anyone..

~*~ Part 3 ~*~

She wasnt able to sleep after those hiccups. They had slowly gone but her mind had become restless. She needed to go to the place she had discovered her peace in.. Quickly she changed and grabbed the keys and drove on dark roads. Once there was a time when she couldn't overcome her fear for darkness but that incident had changed her. She had strengthen her mind and she had overcome so many difficulties which included this darkness fear as well. She had found her peace in that place, in her safe place. Now reaching there she got down from the car and went and sat on the bench she had grown fond of. As she looked out far away at sky, she found that it was already getting brighter. It was about time for sunrise. There were few clouds in the sky but they weren't enough to shadow the brightness that sun was about to bring. She continued looking there.

She had fallen in love with this place, it put all her fears worries to rest and made her mind calm. It was its serenity that she thought sipped in her mind as well, washing away all the tension and making her feel pure and relaxed. She had seen so many things in this life. She had loved two guys in her life and lost them. When she had left Mumbai, she had thought it must be something to do with her only, otherwise why would she always had to end up with broken heart. But as soon as she had landed in this town it had washed away all the pain. The town was a magic, small but so pure and lovely. The pain did come back once in a while like today but this beautiful place - a valley lookout was perfect spot she had discovered that could wash away all that in no time. Today she felt really restless as if something is going to change but now that she had started to feel better in this place she didn't want anything to change. So probably that was the reason she was more worried. Those hiccups had reminded her of him and all those memories she wanted to forget. It had been a while since she had thought about him, then why would, out of the blue in this early morning hours she would wake up with hiccups and remember him, she thought she would never understand.

But then she didn't want to understand either. Only thing she wanted to do was forget about it and find her peace. She looked at the sky again. The sky had turned golden orange now, the clouds had almost disappeared, sun was slowly peeping out. The whole valley infront of her basked in its golden rays. Everything brightened up and she felt herself elated too. Exactly thats what she had come looking for and she had found it. She felt much relaxed and calm now. She sat there watching sun rise completely and then walked back to her car. It was time she started her daily routine the routine she loved...

He woke up as the rays of sun touched his chicks. He never realized when he had slept while reading the single diary page he was given. As he realized it, he looked in panic where did it go. He found it under the table, must have flown while he was sleeping. He picked it up and went to grab a chair. Soon he was up on the chair grabbing a box from top shelf, the box he couldn't throw away. He had burnt lot many things that reminded of Niki but that jewelery piece - he just couldn't. He had thrown it in the box and put it in top shelf where he wont see it at all. Now when he thought about it, it must be because it was something that reminded him of the feelings he had when even he wasn't able to put a label on it. It had caught it unaware and he just couldn't get away from those feelings. Those feelings were so pure and at that moment he wasn't being judgmental about her actions. Everything she did he just liked it. whether it was for him, against him. It was only when he had understood those feelings he had gotten too possessive about her. Without giving her enough time to actually understand her feelings and be ready to accept them. To come to think he had become blind. Now he understood what people meant by love is blind. It actually made him blind to the extent he couldn't see that even though she loved him, she needed time to come to terms with it. He should have understood it, he had known her past and above all wasn't he in the same boat a few days back before he came to terms with his feelings.

A pinch on his finger brought him out of his thoughts. He had completely forgotten what he was doing. He looked at the box that he was holding so tight that it was hurting his finger. He carefully opened it and there it was. It wasn't jewelery piece but Niki's smiling face looking back at him. It always felt that way, he always saw Niki in it, Niki, who had stolen his heart even though he had guarded it like there is nothing else so important in his life. He made up his mind. He cannot loose her, not for all his stubbornness and unablity to understand her at that time. He decided it was high time he find her, ask for her forgiveness and last but not least ask her to accept him and his love. He was going to find her wherever she is hiding. He put the diary page carefully in the box and climbing down from the chair walked to the side table of his bed and carefully placed it there. He needed it there to remind him that why he was in love with her in the first place, whatever the situation might be he always needed to remember why he fell for her. It was her willingness to do anything for people she cared whether it hurt her or not. He had forgotten that once but he cannot forget it again. He needed to start looking for her and first thing he needed was to go and thank the person who gave her this precious diary page and see if he can get help from there. He quickly picked up his phone and dialed a number. The other person immediately agreed to meet him in his office in another hour. He quickly took shower and was on his way, he cannot be late... He had lost enough time already... Every moment was precious now...

Nice update Pri....a lovely melancholy eel around Nikki but I like how she is trying to find her peace!!!
