Star Plus is coming with many new shows with different production houses; some of them have also confirmed the news of bringing new shows in coming few months. So now the channel is now making way for the new shows. Unfortunately, that can be only done by axing some older shows that are not doing well on the TRP charts.

Buzz is that Producer Rashmi Sharma's first ever show, 'Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat', is tipped to go off air by next month and the reason being given for pulling off this afternoon show was 'dipping TRP's since the exit of Yudi and Rani.'

A source from the production told TellyCafe.com, "Yes, even we have got the news about the show going off air but nothing has been done announced officially. But that's the way it goes. When you're wrapping up the story line and bringing the tracks to culmination, what else is there to say?"

We also tried contacting Dimple Jhangiani a.k.a Sandhya of the show but she remained unavailable for her comment.

For old times sake, TellyCafe.com contacted the actors who were the original faces of the show, Kapil Nirmal (Yudi) and Anjali Abrol (Rani), who were the two protagonist through whom the show actually commenced. Even they were shocked to hear the news and Kapil said, "I am feeling very sad that Raja… is going off air, especially for the production house and for the unit members. So obviously, it is very hard to digest the news for the people who are attached to the show. When I was out of the show, I thought it might do well for a few more years but unfortunately the channel has to make way for the new comers. All I can say here is a hearty Good Bye to the show."

Anjali herself was shocked to hear the report and she told TellyCafe.com, "I am feeling very bad for the actors, who had just started with the show. I thought as audience liked Yudi and Rani, they might also like our daughter Sandhya. Unfortunately it didn't happen."

'Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat' has already completed over 500 episodes on air and was always known for its quirky tracks and characters. We're sure the fans who have been following the show from day one will be crushed.

Abi i really like you dear, the ever-trusted harbinger.....but like kanjali I also sympathize with the new actors (actually i feel bad only for Dimple) but they made a bad decision by choosing this show to act on.........dnt feel bad for production house though, am sure they themselves are happy that now they can focus more on Saathiya....wonder how Pawanji i feeling, i liked that funny bearded man and his handiwork........

BTW, am a very very old fan I am not crushed but happy that its ending...about time too

do I say "I am surprised ... NOT " I agree with usma when she said I am an old fan but I am not sad to see this show go ...
I agree .. I love what RKAB stood for .. YuRa (Kanjali) ..due to which the it is stopping now .. did anyone miss my past tense sentence .. I think NOT .. I know that everyone thinks the same ....

If the production house did not realize this when they chose not to stick to their magical couple and also go with some really bakwaas ideas they called story lines... then they underestimated their audience's power in making them a success... we watch wat we want, not what we are forced to...

anyway all the best to kanjali .. loved their loyalty to the show .. but we are loyal to them ..
I still have fun and fond memories of the OLD RKAB ... and I choose to live in them .. I am thankful I missed out on all the epi's after YuRa died coz I don't have any other memories of RKAB except YuRa and the gud old days ...

Finally good sense has prevailed on SP and they are taking it off air. They should have done that on june 7th when YURA were killed. i'm not feeling one bit sad for the production house because they dug their own grave when they replaced Gautam with Sampurn. like everyone i feel sad for the actors who just started on the show.Kanjali's loyalty to their show is worth a praise though. waiting for them to star in a good show soon
