Part 1
Jyoti continues by asking bapu-sa if she's done the right thing. RP agrees, but tells her that there is an appropriate time for everything. He suggests that Jyoti take Reshmi somewhere, and after the election, he himself would supervise the wedding. Jyoti declines, repeating Kabir's assertion that justice doesn't wait for the auspicious moment. RP tells her that she is echoing Kabir. Jyoti tells him that everything she's doing is as per her hubby's wishes, & for the good of the family. She tells him that by sheltering a helpless girl, he'd be more popular, & his votes would increase.
RP tries to say something about Vikrant, but Jyoti tells him that he's still a kid, and wrong upbringing (hinting @ chachi-sa) and company has led him astray, and it's their duty to set him on the right path. She repeats that 17th September is the wedding date, and asks him for his full support. She also assures chachi-sa that despite the short time, there will be no shortcomings in the preparations for the wedding, and everything will happen as per the traditions of the family. Chachi-sa is royally pissed š Jyoti then takes RP's blessings & leaves.
In Kabir's room, Bhavri is restlessly pacing up & down š Asha scolds her for not being still, and Bhavri does her impersonation of chachi-sa š Kabir tells her she should have been a movie actress, the way she dramatizes small things š Jyoti comes in & tells them that RP was quiet, but chachi-sa.... Bhavri starts dancing in joy š
That night, Sumer goes up to RP and again offers to kill Jyoti, and RP as usual asks him to start w/ him š
Part 2
Just then, in the hall downstairs, singing & dancing starts, which startles RP, Sumer, Chachi-sa, Mandira & Vikrant. Downstairs, Reshmi's mehendi is being done. Jyoti, Bhavri & even Asha are enjoying the festivities and even join for the dance, while Kabir looks on.
Chachi-sa & RP talk on the phone, & she reads him the riot act, and reminds him that while madam can deprive him of his seat, she can get him sent to jail. The dancing is going on as RP, Sumer, Chachi-sa & even Vikrant are all watching. After a while, Sumer goes inside, puts his gun into his pocket, and heads outside. He tells Kabir to stop his wife from creating this scene. Kabir tells him that Vikrant created this scene, not Jyoti. Sumer tells him that Vikrant is a Rajput and it's not like he's decorating the house w/ women. Kabir tells him that Jyoti is righting the injustice done to Reshmi, and also that women aren't ornaments to decorate. Kabir warns him to keep his distance from the women, or else, he'd forget his limits. Sumer starts shoving Kabir, but RP intervenes and tells him that Jyoti has to be treated w/ respect. He sends Sumer back to his room.
RP then tries to persuade Kabir to change the timing of all this so that controversy doesn't erupt, but Kabir tells him that it's to save him from scandal that Jyoti is doing this marriage. RP tells him that he's as stubborn as his mom, but Kabir tells him that his mom always stood up for what's right, just like Jyoti is doing. Kabir asks RP to support Jyoti like he did his mom. He asks him to talk to Vikrant.
RP worries about being boxed in b/w 3 women - Madam, Harmookhi & Jyoti. (No wonder he hates women!) Chachi-sa tells Mandira that she now has to repay her dues, and asks her to be a Pootana & poison Reshmi & her baby.
Part 3
RP is in his room when he notices a CD on his bed. Just then the phone rings, and an unknown man @ the other end asks him whether he's received his gift. RP asks him what's in it, and the person asks him to see it, preferably w/ his doors closed.
RP then closes the door and starts watching the CD. He sees the video of Vikrant making out w/ the girl yesterday. Kabir returns to his room & tells Jyoti that RP is now watching the CD - Inspector Rathore called @ just the right time. In the meantime, bapu-sa is fuming as he watches Vikrant getting beat up by the 2 girls. Just then, his phone rings again, & Inspector Rathore tells him that if Madam sees this, he's cooked. RP asks him what he wants, and he tells him that it's not what he wants, but what the Mayor wants - the seat, or total destruction. After hanging up, RP tells himself that he loves the seat more than anything, and is willing to sacrifice anybody for it. He then yells out for Vikrant, & Kabir & Jyoti hear him & are gleeful.
Comments
As expected, RP was caught b/w Jyoti's demands, and Chachi-sa blackmailing him, and now the threat to show Vikrant's CD to madam. He'll have to convince Chachi-sa that even if she destroys him, Vikrant will be done for before he even starts - that's probably his only way out, for now. I think given his own choice, he'd rather be on Jyoti's side, but Chachi has too powerful a weapon against him - of blackmail.
Looks like Chachi-sa is headed for a major defeat, but hope the plan to poison Reshmi is foiled. I liked how Jyoti told RP that Vikrant was what he was due to his bad upbringing - right in front of Chachi-sa. Jyoti has now learnt the right way to insult her.
