Act I Part 1 Scene 1:TAKUR NIWAS (Krishna's bedroom)
It was nightfall when Krishna strolled back to his bedroom after listening to SS's voodoo talk intended to mess up his mind and ensuring he had set sail on a guilt trip of mighty proportions. Prats saw him seated on the bed removing his shoes her face showing concern for Krishna. Krishna laid down on the bed his eyes dull and lost, staring into space. Prats brushed his hair aside in an attempt to comfort him. She asked him if he was thinking about Kesar didi. She explained that Kesar's condition was still bad, her body was weak and she would heal physically but the wound in her heart will never heal. What was done to her one doesn't do to even an enemy. Interesting choice of words Prats! In that very same spot, Krishna told you just over a week ago what she had done to him in the past six months of marriage one would never think of doing to their enemy. By using his own words she may have got through to him in expressing the seriousness of the situation with Kesar. Prats continued not sure if she had Krishna's full attention at the moment, that Kesar had lost her child and no one in the house seemed to feel any regret or remorse, they were more concerned about saving their false dignity and respect. Not ready to hear any more and already overloaded with plenty to process from the voodoo brainwashing from SS, Krishna asked Prats to turn off the lights and let him sleep. With that said he rolled over to his side facing away from Prats his eyes bleak and his heart heavy with the burden of sorting through it all. Prats reached out to comfort him but decided to give him his space and let him be.
Act I Part 2 Scene 1: GREEN CHAI HOUSE (Adarsh's bedroom)
Across town in Mumfordgunj, Komal walked into her bedroom and plonked herself on her side of the bed. Adarsh noticed she was upset and asked if she wasn't interested in chatting with him tonight. When she didn't respond he walked over and noticed she was crying. He asked her to tell him what happened and how he could help. Komal told him his sister Prats had caused problems for her family😲The police had been at her maike for the first time ever thanks to Prats who had called them to arrest Katra Naresh and send him to jail. Komal lamented what a disgrace it was to have police come to the house. Adarsh asked Komal what she thought had to be done with her brother KN who had done such a vile act, and he deserved to be punished. Komal defended that what KN did was wrong but it was in his nature and it wasn't the first time, he couldn't control his habit of hitting and beating Kesar. Oy vey! Komal are you serious? You let that beast of a brother get away on that flimsy excuse that he was just that way? Adarsh explained to her that it wasn't about the behavior being the first or second time but about what is right and wrong and whatever her brother did was completely wrong. Good job, Adarsh Babu! You are good at patiently teaching your wife a few simple truths. Komal didn't want to argue with Adarsh, all she wanted was to be with her Amma during this crisis at Takur Niwas. Adarsh promised to take her first thing in the morning as it was already late night. He wiped away her Komal's tears and she laid her head on his shoulder for some solace and Adarsh hugged her.😳 Awwww! Nice to see Adarsh showing some caring for Komal when she was pareshaan for her family. Maybe bec' it's something he can relate to easily from his own life experiences.
Act I Part 2 Scene 2: MUMFORDGUNJ (Saxsena Dining Area)
The sun is up and it's breakfast time at the Saxsenas. Adarsh and Komal declined the breakfast offer from Nainaji and said they were on their way out to the Niwas. There was a crisis at the Niwas and Komal had to be there. Nainaji agreed that people needed to be with their own to help them get through difficult times, it would make them all feel better. Komal said she was going not to comfort Kesar but to take Prats to task for calling the police to get her brother KN and Amma sent to jail. Shamu told Komal Prats did what she had to do. Komal said if Prats did what was right then she, Komal, was going there to do what was right too. Komal said when there was a crisis at the Saxsena on a a givenV morning Prats was there early so why were they stopping her from going to her maike to support them. VOoooooo!!!! Did we miss something here? No one stopped Komal from going, Nainaji thought she should go to lend some moral support. Prof. told Adarsh to make sure that they didn't make matters worse when they got there. Adarsh said he would keep an eye and the family didn't have to worry. With that said he left with Komal for the Niwas. Were they walking to the Niwas, bec at the end of the day's episode they still hadn't reached the Niwas? Wonder why! 😛Oh, well they will get there for sure by tomorrow and you can betcha Komal is going to contribute something to make matters worse. It's too soon for her to spill the good stuff to her bro Krishna so this notanki can end with Baba and beebi making a hasty exit out of the Niwas. When Shamu advises his children not to do something it almost always ends up causing a furor! Wonder what kind of storm is brewing out there now!
Act II Part 1 Scene 1 TAKUR NIWAS (Kesar's Bedroom)
Back at the Niwas, KN watched Kesar asleep on the bed. The wolf in sheep's clothing had returned for his next round of notanki to convince her to drop the case against him and his mother. He had brought her milk. Oh how sweet! NOT! 👎🏼Since when did he ever do anything for his wife? She was like a piece of furniture, a punching bag, and he treated her like garbage. Stepping into his role as a concerned pati he extolled the virtues benefits of drinking milk. Less sugar? he asked.😲 Yeah right! HUH? 😕 Stop rambling you fool! like you give a damn about your wife. He never did anything out of kindness of his heart for her, ever. Baat kartha hai, hutt! Kesar, wake up and see the wolf baring his teeth looking to make mincemeat out of you. He sat next to her on the bed and got set for Part II of his act. Someone get a tape recorder quick, we need to replay this bit to this loser the next time he lays a hand on Kesar. There must be one around the Niwas somewhere. The Takurs can surely afford one. If not, Prats put that on your shopping list. Living at the Takurs, a breeding ground for crimes, a taping device is a must. He got into his role without skipping a beat. He swore to God he was ashamed of his behavior. Shame on you for taking the Lord's name in vain given that you know you did this gatiya act knowingly! He assured her they will have another baby. Kesar, girl, pay attention, he already killed five of your babies. He had pledged to be rid of this baby one way or another all along and he did it. You still think he wants to have a baby with you? Did this kaminey think she was some machine that popped babies out like candy from a vending machine on a whim? He didn't know what he could say to her. Good then just keep your trap sealed shut, buster! He was ashamed for what he did, if he could turn back the clock he would change every mistake he ever committed. You have committed too many of them there won't be enough time on the clock for you to make up for it. Got it?😡 Now, Kesar dear, we know it's your dream to hear those words of repentence from this scoundrel in the hopes he may have turned a new leaf but don't kid yourself. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Just find a way to kick his sorry behind out of there. He confessed that he had done a gatiya thing when he beat her and didn't know what to do to change it. How about you just stay away from her. That's a good start. He invoked God's name again and said he had been punished in such a way that he had finally seen the errors of his ways. He regretted them and was weeping inside. With joined hands he pleaded for her forgiveness and promised he would never repeat them again. If she didn't forgive him he wouldn't be able to tolerate the sadness and pain and he would die. He covered his face just in case she saw his lying eyes. You lying cheat! Kesar swayed towards wanting to believe he was a changed man. He was about to continue with his con artistry when Prats entered the room with breakfast for Kesar. She stood before him as an image of his conscience daring him to speak while she stared at him in silence. Seems like there is an active conscience still hidden deep inside him somewhere that he left without another word. Maybe just a little ray of hope there?
Act II Part 1 Scene 2 TAKUR NIWAS (Kesar's Bedroom)
Prats set Kesar's nastha on the bed beside her and inquired about her wellbeing. Kesar told Prats to imagine how it would feel for a woman to first lose her child and now on the verge of losing her husband. Oh my! Did she really get sucked into his sly act? Tell me it ain't so! Now listen to your devarani Prats for once in your life and take it to heart, woman! Prats told Kesar to keep it together. She couldn't believe Kesar was buying into KN's sorry act. She explained to her jetani that KN was playing with her feelings when he had no other way to weasel out of the problem. He was out of options so he was putting on an act of love and repentence. Kesar told Prats after listening to KN it seemed like he had really changed.😲The poor guy had accepted his mistakes and when one did that we have to forgive them. Prats pleaded with Kesar not to buy into his act. Whatever KN was doing was not repentence, it was all diraaama for fear of punishment Prats explained. Once Kesar revoked her case KN would revert to being the way he was before. Good going Prats for giving Kesar insight into the workings of an abuser's mind. Kesar seemed to give it a thought for a moment. After all she trusted Prats was on her side and did what was right by her all along including fighting off KN's attempt to abort her baby just a couple of months ago. Hopefully she won't buckle under the pressure from the RED and their high diraaama. It's a surprise they left Kesar alone in her room with Prats. Weren't RED scared Prats might fill her mind with info. they don't want her to have?
Act III Part 1 Scene 1 TAKUR NIWAS (Center Stage/Situation Room)
SS paced around the hall thinking of his jooti shaan. He stopped in front of Ganti Dadi and told her that the grandson and his wife that she had shown so much love toward have now created top-notch notanki. They didn't think about their Amma, bauji or bhai, they have shred the respect of the family. Prats listened to this over the top talk with determination on her face. She wasn't buying into the high drama. SS had the floor all to himself. Getting into full fledge theatrics with his attentive audience SS said that what had never happened in the Niwas ever before had happened now thanks to his ladla son and bahu. Well what can I say Takur Saheb? Times change! Well, I guess your streak of good luck just ended courtesy of your Takurain and your oldest loser son's machinations. If his own family did this to him he will be stuck between a rock and a hard place. This was all part of the continuation of his sob story and emotional blackmail on Krishna from the night before. He twisted the guilt screws a little tighter over Krishna's temples to put the pressure on him to force Prats to withdraw the case against KN and Amma. With the exception of Krishna the Takurs are a scheming lot. Wake up Krishna! See your parents for who they are. Take off those sunglasses, you are already in the dark! As it is you are ignorant of the plots your family is cooking up to kill Prats without blinking an eye all in the name of owning you again. Is that what love is, owning a person like a piece of real estate? They are a sick bunch and the sooner you realize that the better off you will be to walk away with your wife and start afresh and build your life from the ground up. You are bound to your father not bec' he loves you but bec' he holds the purse strings that you depend on him to maintain the lifestyle of leisure you have grown accustomed to. Time to cut the apron strings and grow up.
Act III Part 1 Scene 2 TAKUR NIWAS (Center Stage/Situation Room)
Takurain turned on the water works, the Ganga-Jamuna Bahana if you will, as she lamented at what was in store for her in jail.😭 She didn't know what they would make her do in jail?😕 She may have to do hard labor, her feet hurt and she wasn't used to lifting heavy loads. Well, Takurain, you treated your bahus with contempt in your own controlling ways. Now it's time to taste a sample of what you have been dishing out to them without a conscience due to your quest for power over them. You should have thought about the fallout before you ordered your oldest son to teach his wife a lesson she wouldn't forget until she had drawn her last breath. Ganti Lal looked indifferent with no signs of distress or grief at her bahu's plight😛. She seemed rather pleased at the idea, sick of her bahu's notanki as she rocked in her chair. You go Ganti Dadi! You know what your bahu is up to with her spot on act. You see right through the diraama SDS (Sumitra DeviL Singh) is hatching to get Krishna to buckle and talk his wife into withdrawing the case. Go Ganti Lal! Krishna and Prats need someone in their corner. Amma wailed😭 that she'd die in jail and Ganthi rolled her eyes in disbelief at her bahu's theatrics. Yeah, you're right! We agree, time to say enough already to your bahu's notankis. Prats stood there determined not to buy into the drama, she knew their love for theatrics to get their own ways after living in that kaidhkhana (jail) for six months. Krishna was right, the hawa (air) in that house stunk. Krishna stood there torn between defending his wife stance on the matter and his mother on the other who used her position as the birth mother to emotionally blackmail him.
Act III Part 1 Scene 3 TAKUR NIWAS (Center Stage/Situation Room)
KN told Amma she was not at fault and it was all his doing that had caused the problem. Had he not hit his wife this would never have happened. Hey buster! Did you forget you said you will be rid of this baby one way or another to Kesar not too long ago? You probably did but we didn't. Jrrrrrr! Someone call Kesar and remind her of the scumbag of bones she is married to before she melts into a puddle at his feet buying into his act. Prats watched the playacting with disgust and disbelief but she didn't buy into it. Alright! Stay the course, girl! This situation calls for a tough pushback and no leniency whatsoever. An innocent child has been killed and that is no silly matter to sweep under the rug. Nah ha!👎🏼 KN said he will fess up to this mistake and pay the price for it. SS snapped at KN to stop his behooda talk and give his mother a glass of water. He then turned his wrath on his Takurain for turning his life and izzat on it's head bec' of her actions and asked her why she was crying now? He said she had to cry all her life for having given birth to a son like KN, she needed to save those tears for they may come in handy later. So the Takurs sees his first born being up to no good in the future, nice! Takur Saheb, no worries there, he won't disappoint you. You have trained him well, he is your stooge after all. This apple didn't fall far from the tree.😛
Act III Part 1 Scene 4 TAKUR NIWAS (Center Stage/Situation Room)
Krishna offered Amma a glass of water Amma pushed him away and asked him if he cared for her now when she had to see this day all bec' of him. She told him not to offer him a glass of water but some Ganga jal on her deathbed instead. SS looked up to the ceiling doing his part for added dramtic effect to twist Krishna into knots like a pretzel silently forcing him to align with their agenda and do their bidding.😲 Think of your Mom when she is dead,s he wailed. Krishna was visibly hurt at his mother's cruel words while Ganti Lal and Prats were shocked at how high they hs scaled the ladder of theatrics today.😲😲 Ganti lal couldn't believe the height of their drama. We felt like you too Ganti Lal! Itni notanki? By God! Mamma Mia! Someone call a bollywood agent NOW! Such talent cannot be wasted. 😛😃
Krishna put the glass back on the dining table and internalizing his painful feelings stared at Prats.😕 Was Baba asking Prats to see how he was being kicked around like a football once again? He stormed back to his room in a huff. Don't blame you Baba, just put your thinking cap on and ask yourself why your wife took such a drastic step on Kesar's behalf. Prats was disturbed at Baba's reaction and pained to see him being played by his family for their own ends. She was torn and wanted to go and comfort Krishna. SDS looked at Prats from the corner of her eye to make sure her drama had had the required impact and would produce the expected reaction and results from Prats. Holy Mackrel! Mamma Mia! She's as vicious as they come! Prats was on the verge of tears seeing his family use Krishna this way.
Preview: Krishna says his family had raised him with a lot of love. He loves Prats and she knows it. He asks her to understand where he was coming from, to forget the rules and regulations, the law and the world and tell bauji she will take the case back. Prats looked at Krishna in disbelief but the fleeting anger and look of determination was still on her face. She was not going to let this one pass. It was way too cruel by any standards, intentional infliction of pain and devastation on the dreams of a helpless woman. We'll see what Komal brings in and how Prats defends her position when they meet tomorrow. Well, Krishna will you be singing the same tune once you hear of their plans to fry Prats?
