Best & worst Hollywood movie remake in Bollywood?

though i have not seen the real from where they r "inspired" but these r my fav movies

haven't seen Black yet! and JWM is not a remake .. so

I think the best would be Omkara but like someone said, I don't think that qualifies as a remake. It was an adaptation of Othello, the play. Not the movie.

And the worst? Partner, hands down. I don't know HOW this movie became a hit because to me, it was a pathetic version of Hitch (which I LOVED). Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

Guys Jab We Met was not a hollywood remake. Actually Hollywood remade Jab We Met. THis director in Hollywood made a film inspired from Jab We Met called Leap Year. I watched Leap Year, and OMG what a boring film. It didn't even come close to what Jab We Met was.

I just hate it when I see movie exactly a copy of it. I love Partner but I hated the fact that it was a copy I remember seeing Hitch where it was the office scene and then salman-govinda office scene, it was like identical scene. They copied even the doors and the pen they used...lol

I watched Black a long time ago and I remember saying "What a brillliant, Original story this is." After years later, I saw this black and white old hollywood movie made in 1930's or some year like that. It was the same exact movie. I was surprise that even the acting, clothes, house, scene by scene, was the same. The only thing different was that in the hollywood movie, it was a lady that was training the blind girl but in the hindi movie, it's a man that's training her. They changed a little bit. That's the day I started hating SLB for acting like he's a genius for copying shamelessly.

I actually liked Partner more than the Hollywood version Hitch. I thought Hitch was boring and not funny at all. While in Partner, Govinda had me cracking up, and I loved the songs in the film. Very entertaining film. We actually have Partner DVD at home and we watch it all the time and it never gets old. Loved Govinda in the film. And Salman looked Hot and he was funny in few scenes.

We are Family vs Stepmom- I liked Stepmom better because I thought the roles/performances were better. The film was also better. I really loved Julia Roberts in the film more than I did kajol and kareena in We are Family. I don't understand how Sid thought kareena suppressed Julia. Kareena is an awesome actress but her role in We are Family was not as strong as Julia's. Kareena didn't have that much to do in the film. Julia had a very strongly written role for her. I just loved her performance and became her fan after seeing the film.
